Lily left me to school. She had a meeting with a teacher. The search for my history presentation went on for over 30 minutes. I went over to my mom's room and decided to check the piles of book. While searching, an old file fell. It read 'Davy's orphanage home' I then remembered when Klara told me something about mom gifting gifts to children at the orphanage. My mom is so nice so I believe she can do such and more.
         My book was nowhere in sight. I broke down in tears. Nevertheless, I got up and rushed to school. I felt bad for not showing up at the soccer game. Getting to the entrance of the hall, I sighted Christopher and quickly turned my back. I avoided his gaze throughout biology Class, both at the cafeteria, I took another lane. We met at the school's garden, I fastened my pace but he got me and held me by my waist. My eyes widened.

      I tried reaching Kelly through my phone but couldn't. The soccer game felt useless at some point. Every little thing distracted me. I wondered where she was, what she was up to, if she was okay. These thoughts lingered in my head. 
    I took a quick shower and rushed to school. Walking towards the school entrance I saw Kelly and waved to her but she immediately turned. It seems she didn't see me. We were at the biology class and she never even looked in my direction. We usually sit together during biology class, but today she sat far away with lily. Immediately the class was over, she left the class.

Is she perhaps avoiding me? I frowned

She also avoided my gaze at the cafeteria. Since today is Monday, she usually goes to the garden. So I went there in hopes of finding her and I did!

I rushed to her and grabbed her by the waist and her eyes widened. This made me smirk. I withdrew my hands.

"Why are you avoiding me?"

"Nothing." She replied facing down.

"If you think am upset about you not coming for the game. I'm not."

"Really." She smiled.

"Mm hmm. Don't avoid me next time. I said lifting her chin up.

"Okay." And she immediately turned red. Was she really blushing? I asked myself.

"Besides you look great in black. Lily showed me your picture."

"Lest I forgot, I took your history note."

"What??? I cried my eyes out because of that note."

"Ooh but your eyes are still intact." He laughed

"Stop" she  shouted
"I would love to see you cry some more." I pinched her and ran away making her run after me.

We ran non stop till we got to the hall way where some people gathered. We decided to check what was going on.

"its Sharon." I hissed.

"Everyone shut it down."  Sharon said.

"Today is testimony week. The lord is good. The lord...

" what is testimony week? Christopher asked.

"Testimony week is a week of testimony where you testify all the good things and the bad ones and how the Lord helped you." I explained.

"Oh okay."

"Sharon is the leader."  I added.

   Sharon is a pastor's daughter. She's friend with Sandy.   

" Are you all ready to hear my testimony? "
"Yes" half of the student present answered
       I was about leaving when Christopher held me and signalled me to stay.

"Today I decided to take my bath by 5:30am. I prepared myself and filled my bath tub with hot water. I was about removing my clothes and immediately a frog jumped into my water. I prayed hard." Sharon demonstrated while putting her two hands together.

"I was so happy because I killed it and flushed it.      Some people just stared at her in utter disbelief and others clapped.

" So lame and stupid." I shouted

"What did you say?" Sandy turned and cast me a deadly stare.

"It's lame. Everything you said is lame. It's just a frog. It doesn't mean it is evil."  I rolled my eyes.

       She came closer and her face looking guilty as if having realized. She looked at me and then slapped me across my face twice. I didn't have the time to be surprised, I returned the slap the same way she gave it to me. We started fighting.
   Lily, Christopher, and some students separated us.
A senior intervened and the matter was resolved without the knowledge of the principal.

I cursed so loudly while lily arranged my hair.

"She's so stupid."
Lily nodded.

"Sometimes it's better to be silent than react in every situation. Yeah Sharon is stupid. But both of you reacted to the situation in a bad way." Christopher added. The sound of the box screamed as though Christopher's weight was much.

" Keep quiet. I did what was supposed to be done."

" There was nothing to do back there. Both Sharon's behavior and yours was bad."

"Are you stupid? I aggressively asked. Stop comparing me to that low life. My veins supported me on this one as it came out bright and clear.

" Kelly Beacons please just stop...

" Christopher stop. My eyes burning. Stop it. Don't call me by my full name. Are  you a lunatic? I Screamed

"No." He calmly replied

"Woah... Didn't see that calm nooo coming." Lily laughed

I stared at her.

"Kelly your wrong. Learn to accept being wrong and stop making excuses."

That was the height of it! I couldn't take it anymore. And so I slapped him. He just gave no reaction instead he touched the right part of his face and smiled. This made me burst into tears.

"I hate you, I hate lilly... I hate everyone....

" Kelly." Lily and Christopher called .

"I don't want to see your faces anymore." I cried and ran away

2 weeks later,
  My phone buzzed and a message read

LIlY: I'm sorry for laughing the other day. It was a serious matter. But I just couldn't quit laughing.

Another message came in as soon as I was done reading Lily's message.

CHRISTOPHER:
Kelly please I'm sorry. Please.. I have no idea why lily was laughing. Let me make it up to you.

   I hissed and continued reading for my history test. One thing I loved about this academy; is that we're given two weeks break to prepare for tests.
