The Neverseen were evil. Sophie knew this, but every time they met she would be amazed at just how evil they could be.

And now she was going to meet them again. In secret.

They had told her to come alone, if she didn't her friends would see their end. So what else could she do but obey?

They had left her a leaping crystal and no other clues.

So at midnight (on the dot) Sophie crept out of her bed and lept using the moonlight.

She glittered into what looked like an office. 

Lady Gisela was waiting for her, "And this is the part where she wakes up,"

Sophie jolted awake in a tangle of blankets and bedsheets.

"It was just a dream," she murmured.

"What was just a dream, sweetie?" Sophie turned to find Lady Gisela looking at her. Except she was... smiling. A kind smile. The kind of smile Sophie only saw in Keefe's memories.

"Whatever you dreamed, Sophie, it wasn't real." Lady Gisela sat down next to her, "We made you for one purpose. To help. You are The Project Moonlark, Sophie."
