Alvar was collapsed on the shimmering floor of Gwynaura and Ruy was the first one who had seen him and carried him back to Lady Gisela. They had brought cold water in buckets and were now dumping them on him.

He woke up shivering in a bundle of blankets and pillows, which Ruy had left for him. Ruy was probably the only person in the Neverseen who thought of Alvar both as a colleague and a friend. It was also why Ruy cared about him a lot more than the other members, too.

Unfortunately for Alvar, Gisela had left to go back to Candleshade in the Lost Cities. So, he couldn't tell her that he had burned down the factory. And Glimmer was busy fixing some lighting equipment in another hideout. So, now, Alvar was left with Ruy, Brant, and Gethen.

Ruy was walking past the room which Alvar was in, when he glanced at Alvar, and his face lit up. "Hey! You're awake!"

Alvar gave him a small smile, then grimaced and doubled over in pain.

Ruy's smile faltered and morphed into a frown. "Wait here. I'll get some pain medicine."

He jogged back into the walkway and entered the room to the right. He opened the top glass cabinet and grabbed 3 vials. One lime green, one royal purple, and one coral colored. Then, he ran back to Alvar, hands full.

The process was slow, Alvar was in a state between consciousness and non-consciousness and Ruy didn't want to get his hands too dirty. But, 23 minutes later, Alvar was in a deep, peaceful sleep, and Ruy was on his way to the same hideout that Glimmer was in. Clearly, they needed a Psionipath to help fix the lighting equipment as well.
