Chapter 9
A/N: This is a chapter in Alvar's POV!!!!
Alvar looked around utterly confused about what had occurred. First of all, there was a beautiful girl that Fitz and Keefe somehow knew. Probably a Black Swan member. But the way Fitz looked at Chelsea and how she came to Fitz first made him wonder....
"Wait, Keefe, are Fitz and that other girl dating?"
Keefe, Fitz, and Chelsea both stared at him finally realizing that he was also still there. Keefe smiled and nodded while Chelsea glared at him and said, "I'm Chelsea!"
Alvar smiled and turned to Fitz and asked, "I thought you liked Sophie?"
Fitz scoffed, "Well, I mean, a lot has changed ever since you..."
He didn't need to finish the sentence, everyone knew what he meant.
"Anyways, Chelsea, can you tell us more about the people who captured you? We need to know all the information we can get!" Keefe asked pointedly at her.
The color had returned to his skin and he seemed to be fine, but Alvar knew that he wasn't. He knew of the broken, angry, scared boy that Keefe hid. Ever since Keefe pretended to join the Neverseen, Alvar had learned more about his true nature.
Keefe would cry himself to sleep somedays or he would whisper to himself before bed that he had to do better and prove himself worthy to a "Foster" which Alvar knew was what Keefe called Sophie.
Chelsea stumbled closer to the tents and Fitz and Keefe made a campfire for them to sit around in.
Alvar was scarred and bruised so badly, that he didn't even want to move away from his current position.
Chelsea then started explaining, "Well, they looked really beautiful at first, so I thought they were elves and I went to talk to them, but then, when I came closer, I realized that the beauty was just an illusion. They faces were had pimples and warts all over and their feet were actually mermaid tails. Their hands had wrinkles and looked like wood. And their hair was made of feathers, beads, junk, and trash. Overall, they smelled horrible, looked horrible, and WERE horrible!" She spat out. "And then they flung a net over me that cut my skin and my nose felt like it was on fire! Then, the horrifying creatures dragged me to a barren cave and started chanting an incantation of some sort. I found out that one of the siren's names was Melinina, and the other one was called--"
"Axilya." said a crisp, sweet voice.
Chelsea turned around to see who had interrupted her and found a petite little girl staring at her with huge, round, glassy, violet eyes.
"Oh. My. God." Chelsea whispered. "It's her. It's the sirens. That's Axilya, and behind her is Melinina. Run. Quick!"
The group ran into the forest, with Alvar following them, but he was no longer a menace to the society.
The sirens were.
A/N: Ack! Writing this is soooooo terrifyingly fun!!!!!!!!!
