(Sophie's POV)

Keefe comforted Sophie as she cried. Everything was messed up. 

Wraith was the spy all along. The Black Swan drifted apart every single day that the sirens attacked.

"Hey, everything is going to be fine!" Keefe soothed her, hugging her gently. Sophie whipped away some tears. 

"No, it's not fine, Wraith was the spy the whole time, what if he also spied on us when we we're fighting the Neverseen."

"But, the Neverseen is goneeeeeeee, thanks to the sirens." Keefe practically sang but Sophie could see a bit of sadness in his eyes.

They had no idea if his mother was alive, or not, or if the sirens captured her.

Wait. If Gisela might be held in Exile, or some other place, and if they were able to free her, she would tell them everything to defeat them.

But, how would Keefe react to this?

Well, she still needed to try.

"Keefe," Sophie whispered slowly, "I have a plan, but I need you to tell me if you are okay with it."

Keefe looked at her excitedly and asked, "What is it?"

Sophie sighed, "I think if Lady Gisela is held somewhere, we can free her and ask her for information."

Keefe shook his head, "Uh, that seriously won't work, she might lie, you know Mommy Dearest."

"Yes, but what if she tells the truth." Tam countered, joining their conversation.

They were in Havenfield at Sophie's bedroom, the 2 boys and Sophie all huddled around the flower carpet.

"And what make you say that Bangs Boy?"

"Your mother's group got defeated by the sirens, I highly doubt that she wouldn't want revenge."

"But who knows? Mom of the Year is kinda mysterious, there's no way this plan would work."

Tam and Keefe continued to argue, suggesting (or rather yelling) points that were either useless or stupid.

Finally it was getting too far, and Sophie had to scream, "STOP!"

Both of them dropped what they were doing and turned toward her.

"Keefe," Sophie asked turning toward him, "are you afraid of your mother?"

Keefe shook his head and Sophie sighed.

"Well, this is the plan, and Tam are you also coming?"

Tam nodded, and so it was settled.
