Sophie Foster couldn't sleep. She tried everything this past week but nothing works. All the sedatives and flowers that Edaline and Flori give her just wasn't enough. Why couldn't she sleep? Two reasons. Tam and Fitz. Tam was forced to join the Neverseen and she can't even begin to fathom what the might make him do. And it was her fault too. He only joined so the Alicorns wouldn't die from the Soporidine. Really it wasn't her fault technicality but Sophie always second-guesses herself and why everyone helps her. The other reason Sophie couldn't sleep was the guy with teal eyes. How was she supposed to tell Fitz that she was unmatchable? Now that wasn't her fault. Mr. Forkle won't give her a clue to find out who her biological parents are. He says it might create a problem for them if she knew or told anybody. How could finding out who gave their DNA to him create such a huge problem? Sophie is fine with Edaline and Grady but she just feels like its not enough. Her past is filled with gaps of information Forkle won't give her. Every time she thought about it just wouldn't help her one bit. She tossed and turned until Silveny reached out for her and finally drifted off to sleep. The Monster still overcame her that night.

Gethen was mad. Like really mad. Tam had just communicated with Sophie hoping that his shadows were enough to keep out the truth he told her. Even though Gethen and the mysterious shadow that was always behind him whenever he checked Tam's memories, he never showed the emotion of frustration and anger as if he told her something. But he did. And Gethen wasn't fully angry. This meant that Tam was getting stronger thanks to Umber's journals or Gethen was a weak Telepath. Whichever was the latter was enough to keep the truth that Lady Gisela, Keefe's own mother told Tam to kill him. And he really hoped Sophie was keeping Keefe in order.
