Linh wasn't crying. She couldn't cry. No water would come to her call either. Wylie was there too and trying his best to keep her happy and smiling but it wasn't the same. The black shadowy void in her heart cracks every time she thinks of her brother.

"Things would never be the same, Wylie." She cried

Wylie looked at her and kissed her head. "I know and soon enough it will be all over."

But it wasn't, not yet. And soon she finally cried.

Linh cried more and more after Wylie had to leave and tried calling for more water. Linh sighed as it didn't work and wept some more before her new session with Marella and Fintian.

"Will she ever get better?" Marella asked Stina after she came back from 'talking' with Dex.

Stina looked at Marella. "Sorry, who?"

"Linh!"

"Oh, um, probably not," Stina said.

Marella looked at her like she was crazy.

"I mean her twin brother has gone to the dark side. There's really nothing we can do." Explained Stina.

Marella shook her head. "There's always something we can do."

Silence followed until they left Slurps and Burps.

"I don't know what we would do if  we can do anything about it," said Stina

"Me neither, Me neither."

An hour passed since Stina went back home and Marella was meeting Linh at the cave that Fintian was held.

"Hey, are you okay?" Marella asked after seeing the state of Linh.

"I'm fine," She insisted "Are you ready?"

"Sure, but are you?"

Linh sighed " Yeah, I guess."

"You can always talk about Tam. I won't mind." Marella then put a hand on Linh's shoulder.

"I- I guess so." Smiled Linh as the two girls walked into the cold cave.

Wylie and Linh's relationship: Secretly Dating

This is mostly because Wylie is like 20 which means Linh is a minor being 16. And because there needs more spice in the books. :)

Dex was mildly shocked.

He was sure Stina was about to kiss him the other day. He saw some old human movies once and became quite an expert about romance. Or at least for other people (cough cough Fitzphie cough cough). But this time he was sure of it. There was a twinkle in her eyes he only saw when someone could be in love.

"Stina couldn't be in love with me, right Lovise?"

Lovise shrugged. "No way no how." The goblin exclaimed. "Have you seen how she treats you?"

Dex cringed thinking about all the pranks Stina had ever done before.

"Wait a minute," Lovise said while squinting her eyes then opening them wide.

"Do you like her?"

Dex's facial expression told Lovise what she needed.

"I don't!" Dex shouted.

"Okie Dokie," Lovise said and walked out of Dex's room.

Do I like Stina? He thought.

Maybe, but...

I'm sure she doesn't feel the same way.

Now we have oblivious Dex in the story! Shannon really makes every character obvious and oblivious. :)
