No one's POV:

It was silent in the room. Deadly silent.

Rainbow stared at her dad, her body in fearful tremble. She was lost for words, just like every other time when talking to her dad. Lightning Dash was very huge and intimidating. He had large muscles and was tall. He looked scary.

The man looked bigger than she remembered. Probably because she was kneeling on the floor, looking up at him. Rainbow found the strength in her to stand up. She was praying her dad couldn't see her skaking.

"So", her dad finally spoke up. "You're not done yet??".

Rainbow gulped. "All I need was t-to do this room and I would be-".

"WHAT DID I TELL YOU, STUPID??!!", he shouted, making Rainbow Dash flinch.

Her hands twisted together, in a nervous habit. Rainbow chewed on her lip to keep herself from crying.

"Uh you uh you said- I know that you said-".

"I SAID THAT YOU HAD TO FINISH BEFORE I GOT BACK", Lightning boomed.

"I-I know", Rainbow stuttered. "I'm sorry, Dad. It was just alot. You couldn't possibly have thought I'd be able to get it done all by myself in time, did you??".

Lightning walked up to her, anger clear on his face. Rainbow took a step back.

"Dad", she begged. "Please. I'm sorry. Don't. Please".

Lightening stomped up to her. The man grabbed her by her shirt. Rainbow squeezed her eyes shut, waiting for the beating she knew was coming.

She wasn't dissappointed when she felt his hand slap her on her left cheek. She let out a squeak of pain. She opened her eyes and looked up at her dad.

"Please dad. Stop. I'm sorry".

"Sorry isn't gonna cut it", Lightning said.

"You didn't do as I said and there's a consequence".

Lightning dragged Rainbow by the shirt over to a corner. Rainbow knew not to struggle. It would make her beating worse than she was gonna get. Her dad threw her onto the concrete floor. Rainbow fell on her hands and knees. She looked up in at her dad. He knelt down and grabbed her ankle.

Lightning chained her ankle. The metal chain was connected to the wall. Rainbow knew what he was going to do.

The man stood up. He walked over to the bench with his tools on it. Rainbow's heart raced in her chest.

Her dad turned around and faced her. He had a whip in his hand. Rainbow felt like she was going to faint.

She backed up until her back was against the cold, concrete wall, her eyes wide in fear.

"Dad. Please don't. Anything but that. Please don't".

Lightning smirked sinisterly. He walked up at her. He towered over her, making him even more menacing.

"Shut up and turn around, bitch", he ordered. "Don't make it harder on yourself".

Rainbow was shaking. She was frozen in fear, her eyes glued to the whip in his hand. Seconds passed and she was still in her same spot. Her dad began to get impatient and rolled his eyes.

"Fine. I guess we'll go this the hard way".

He leaned down and grabbed Rainbow's arm. He roughly turned her around to her back was facing him. Rainbow felt like she was going to pass out in fear. Her heart raced as she waited for the first strike, her body tense.

A sharp stinging pain ripped across her back.

She gasped and then screamed out in pain.

Applejack had to look away. She covered her eyes, unable to see what was going on in front of her. From their spot in the closet, the girls could see and hear everything.

Rainbow's cries and screams echoed throughout the room. Applejack felt herself tear up. She heard quiet sobbing, behind her.

Turning her body, she looked back. Fluttershy was sitting with her head in her knees, her shoulders shaking with sobs. Rarity was hugging her, also in tears.

The girls all jumped with every Crack of the whip. It seemed like forever in the that closet. Applejack flinched at hearing Rainbow cry out in agony. She could hear the poor girl sob.

The girls finally composed themselves long enough and looked out at Rainbow Dash and her dad.

Rainbow was on her knees, hunched over, covering her head. Tears were running down her face.

It broke Applejack's heart. She wasn't close to bursting out of that closet and run over and protect Rainbow Dash. But her dad was huge and that'll only put them all in danger. She couldn't risk it.

The girls were frozen as they watched their best friend get beaten inhumanely.

Rainbow suddenly looked up at them, her lips and hands trembling.

"Stay there", she mouthed. "Don't come out. I can handle it- ahh!!".

Rainbow flinched at the whip came down on her back again.

Applejack heard a quiet sob. Lookimg back at the others, she saw Fluttershy losing it. The pink haired teen was sobbing silently into Pinkie's shirt, her hands over her mouth.

"She doesn't deserve this", Fluttershy whispered. "She doesn't deserve any of it".

Applejack looked back out at Rainbow Dash. Lightning had put the whip down, finished with the horrible punishment. Rainbow was curled up on the floor, in tears.

Rainbow's dad suddenly picked her up by her hair. Rainbow whimpered, clutching at her wrist to lessen the pain.

Your dad brought her close so they were eye two. Rainbow's feet were dangling off the floor.

"Listen and listen well", her dad said.

"You're a disappointment to me. You could never do any good in this world. Why do you think I beat the pulp out of you every day??".

"B-Because you hate m-me", Rainbow stuttered out.

The man snickered. He dropped Rainbow. The teen fell to the floor with a groan. Lightning gave a swift kick to the side, making her cry out in pain.

"You're stupid, disgusting, weak, ugly, a faggot. I hate disgusting little vermin faggots like you. You don't deserve to live. You're nothing more than dirt".

Rainbow nodded. "I know", she sighed.

"Say it", the man ordered.

Rainbow was gasping in pain, clutching her side. Lightning growled. He picked her up roughly. Rainbow whimpered in fear.

"SAY IT!!".

Rainbow flinched in fear.

"I'm stupid".

"And??".

Rainbow sighed. "I'm a stupid, ugly, piece of trash that doesn't deserve to live. I'm nothing more than dirt. Worthless".

Applejack slowly shook her head in shock. Rainbow didn't mean it. She couldn't mean it.

"Exactly", Lightning said. "Good. Don't forget that".

Lightning dropped her. Rainbow gsped as she felt to the floor. She laid on her side, eyes squeezed shut from the pain in her back. She heard a clanking sound, the chain coming off. It clanked loudly as it hit the ground.

Rainbow looked up at to see her dad walking away.

"I'm going out to have a few drinks", he said. "I can't stand being in the same house as you. I better not find you here later unless you want another beating".

Rainbow laid her head down and closed her eyes. She heard the sound of footsteps going upstairs. The door shut with a slam.

The girls couldn't get out of the closet faster. They were out of there and ran over to Rainbow Dash.

They gasped. Rainbow's shirt was short and bloody. They could see the lashes on her skin. The shirt was in tatters, practically hanging off her body.

"Rainbow", Applejack said, kneeling down.

Rainbow's eyes snapped open. Sitting up quickly, she looked up at the girls in fear. She started to back away from them.

"Please don't hurt me", she begged, not get realizing who she was talking to.

"I'm sorry. I won't do it again just, please don't hurt me".

"Rainbow", Applejack said quietly.

Rainbow looked at her. She finally realized who she was and that she wasn't a threat.

"Applejack".

Applejack helped her sit up. Rainbow gasped in her breaths, her hand clutching onto Applejack's shirt. Applejack stared at her for a moment.

"Ah....... ah don't even know what ta say".

Rainbow heard sobbing, turning her head, she saw Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy crying.

"Ah Pinkie, Flutters. Cmere".

Pinkie and Fluttershy crawled over to her. They clung on to her, hugging the teen.

"W-We were so afraid", Fluttershy cried. "I thought he was going to kill you. Are you okay??".

Rainbow forced a smile on her face. She put on a brave face for the girls.

"Shhh. I'm okay. I'm still here. It's over".

Rainbow suddenly felt tears pricked her eyes. She blinked rapidly, looking away. She tried not to cry in front of the girls.

"I-I'm okay".

Applejack watched her. She was not okay.

"Rainbow", she said. "Don't lie"

Rainbow looked at her. She sighed and looked away, sniffling.

"It hurts", she said, her voice breaking. "It hurts alot".

Pinkie and Fluttershy pulled away, drying their tears. Applejack crawled over to Rainbow Dash and sat in front of her.

"Ya know", Applejack said. "Ya don't have ta be strong in front of us. You don't have to hide how much it hurts ya. After a beat'n like that, I'm surprised at house you're holdin' it in".

Rainbow felt herself start to shake.

"It hurts", she said through gritted teeth.

She looked at the floor. The cold seeped into her skin, making her shiver. Rainbow let out a shaky breath. She looked up at Applejack. Rainbow Dash couldn't hold it in any longer. She let it a sob.

"It hurts, Applejack", she sobbed.

Applejack immediately took her in her arms. Rainbow cried into her shirt loudly, clutching the fabric in her hands. Applejack had her arms around her waist, careful not to touch her back. She wasn't sure how bad it was. Applejack looked at the others. They were all torn between crying and murdering Rainbow's dad.

All Applejack wanted to do was go upstairs and murder Rainbow's father for what he did to her. Rainbow didn't deserve the punishment she got. She didn't deserve to be beaten in the first place. She didn't deserve the terrible names he called her. Rainbow deserved to be loved and happy carefree and free of this hellhole.

Applejack mentally sighed. All she could do was hold her until her sobs subsided.

Rainbow sniffled.

"Wh-Why are you guys still here??", she asked. "Why d-didn't you get out of here like I said??".

"We weren't going just leave you here with that monster", Rarity said. "We had to be here in case he tried to kill you".

Rainbow nodded. She let out a sob.

"It hurts", she said.

Applejack nodded. "We know, RD. We're gonna make it better".

"Rainbow", Twilight spoke up. "I don't know what I didn't stop him. I could have. But my mind just went blank and I couldn't think of asnythong other than the fact that I was watching my best friend get beaten by her own dad".

"I understand", Rainbow Dash said, pulling away from Applejack.

She looked around at the girls.

"You were in shock. Who wouldn't??. Plus, my dad could have hurt you guys if had seen you there. I don't blame you. It's not your fault".

Applejack nodded.

"Let's get cha cleaned up. Twilight can tend to those lashes and clean ya up. They look pretty nasty".

Rainbow nodded. "Okay".

The girls went to help Rainbow Dash stand up. Applejack supported her as they stood up. Rainbow hissed.

"Ah!!".

They froze for a moment.

"Let's to the bathroom in yir room", Twilight said. "It'll be easier to tend to you".

Rainbow nodded weakly.

"Rainbow??", Applejack suddenly spoke up.

Rainbow looked at her. "Yeah??".

Applejack looked at her for a moment.

"Whatever terrible thing yir dad says ta you, don't believe it. We love you and we want you around".

Rainbow nodded, though she didn't really look like she believed Applejack. "Okay".
