When I woke up the next morning I noticed that I was alone on the sofa and our mess from the night before was gone. I rubbed my eyes before getting up and going to my room. I noticed that the bathroom door was shut, and that Hitoshi's bags were still in my room. I sighed in relief knowing that he was still here and safe. I was about to lay in my bed and wait for him, but I realized that I left my phone in the living room and it probably needs to be charged. I leave my room walking past the bathroom as Hitoshi opens the door.

"Morning Hito. Slept well," I ask.

"Yeah, though you kept trying to lay on me," he tells me with an annoyed face.

"I just wanted to show you that I love you while I sleep. I wasn't aware it was a crime to shower you with affections," I tell him, "Seto let's me do that, why can't I show my other brother the same love and affections"?

"One, you sleep hot. Like an actual furnace. Two, I am not your br.....," I started tearing up at the fact he didn't see me as his family, "I am not your blood brother, but I am still your brother but I don't like snuggles"'.

"Get used to them Hitoshi," dad calls out from the kitchen area. Hioshi simply rolls his eyes and sighs.

"Please don't cry, Kare bear. I will allow you the occasional hug, okay," he tells me, wrapping his arms around me in an awkward hug. I hugged him back, enjoying the moment.

"Awe Sibling hug time," we hear Seto coming out of his room, arms open wide to hug us. Hito and I let go of each other and take off in different directions. Seto hugs hurt. Hitoshi runs to my room and shuts the door and I take off to the safety of my dad. As I round the corner to the kitchen I run to the other side of my dad and hide behind him hugging his right side.

"Seto, stop scaring the kids," dad says with a sigh, "It's too early for this".

"But dad I wanted a sibling hug as well," Seto says walking into the kitchen. My arms still wrapped around my dad refusing to let go.

"If you didn't hurt them, then they wouldn't be opposed to them. Isn't that right Kairi," dad replies. I nod my head in agreement with our dad. Seto sighs in annoyance, but decides to move on.

"Hey dad. I'm going to see about taking Shinso out to get some school supplies since they start tomorrow. He seems to not have everything he needs, and I want to help him out," Seto tells our dad.

"That's fine, I was going to rest before my patrol this evening. The coverage is from 8 pm to 2 am. I will be going to the school after to get some peace and quiet before the students start coming in. Kairi, do you have any plans for today," dad looks down at me.

"Not really. I was going to see if Uncle Toshi had some free time today and train a little before tomorrow. If not then just check my bag for my supplies," I tell dad, finally releasing him.

"Good, I'm sure he has some free time. If not then reach out to Hizashi, he was asking about you yesterday," dad tells me. I nod before hugging him again and moving towards Seto. I stare at my older brother debating my next move, before I wrap my arms around him to hug him. He returns the hug gently, before letting me go, and letting me pass him to the living room. I walked to the table that held my phone. I glanced at the screen and saw that my phone was at 15% and I had 2 missed calls, 20 new texts. I placed my phone in my pocket, and walked to my room. Hitoshi was putting on his black jacket.

"You going out with Seto," I asked with a knowing smile.

"Yeah, I need more supplies for school and he offered to take me. Something about brother bonding time. I don't really get it, but I've accepted my fate when it comes to you two," he tells me with a soft smile.

"Yeah, you have to. Otherwise it will be much worse. We love you, and just want to show you how much we do. It's taken us a while to get where we are today after everything, but we know life is short and we don't want to regret not showing how we feel," I tell him.

"I know. I can't ever thank you enough for being there and trying to be my friend despite my quirk,"

"Mine isn't much different than yours. I just think about it, you say it," I smile.

"True. Let me get going before he comes in and hunts me down. I'll text you so you don't worry," he says as he walks out of my room. I pull my phone out of my pocket and plug it into my charger. As it's charging I look over my notifications.

2 missed calls, one from Uncle Hiza and the other from Aunt Nemuri. I will see them at school tomorrow. They can wait till then.

Me 10:22 am: Good morning Sho. You don't have to talk to me everyday because we are friends, but I will always be there if you need me. See you tomorrow for our first day!! What class are you in? I will be in 1-A.

Midoriya: Yes, we can meet at the beach at noon. Did you get the e-mail about our class schedule?

Me: Yes. I will be in class 1-A. Uncle Toshinori spilled the beans the other day. He was so excited. Anyway, see you at the beach, we can talk more then.

I placed my phone down on the nightstand and went to my closet to grab some clothes for the day. I picked out a long sleeve black shirt, khaki capris, and I will wear my black sandals. I ran to the bathroom to take a quick shower before I got dressed for the day. As I wash my hair I wonder how I will be at UA.

Will I be myself, someone who is reserved, friendly, and not overly hyper like I am at home with Seto around, or will I be the hyperact, loud, person that my brother is. It's funny to think how there's two different sides of me. You would think at home I would be the most calm with my dad around, but I always try to be energetic and loud. I don't want him to worry, he does enough of that. I know if I was myself at home he would hover over me with concerns that I was getting depressed and withdrawing again. Will he think I am okay at school if I act like myself? What if-

There's a knock on the door.

"Kairi I can hear your mind running a mile a minute in there. Finish the shower and come out here so we can talk for a moment," I hear my dad's voice from behind the door.

"Ooops! Sorry dad, I'm about done I will be out in a minute," I tell him rushing to finish rinsing the conditioner from my hair. When I feel that it has all been rinsed out I get out and dry off using my water quirk to pull the water off of my skin and out of my hair and moving it to the sink so it can go down the drain. I get dressed and brush my teeth really quick before I leave the bathroom. I cautiously walked to the living room knowing that dad will either be there or in the dining room waiting for me so we could talk about the thoughts he's heard.

"In here, Kairi," I hear dad call out from the dining room. This is about to suck!

"You wanted to talk to me," I questioned as I walked into the room.

"Yes, take a seat," He tells me.

"I'd rathe-,"

"Sit down Kathryn," I flinch at the use of my first name, and begin to sit down.

"So, dad. What are we discussing," I ask as if I didn't already know.

"I need you to be honest with me," he starts.

"Yes, I was concerned that you would start hovering over me if I acted like myself at school," I told him without letting him finish.

"Kairi, I'm your dad. I am always going to worry about you, especially after everything you have been through. I know you are strong. You take after your mom and I, but you are still my little girl. You and Seto are my life. Yes you both bug the hell out of me, but I know you do it because you worry about me as well. You both have always been reserved, smart, and intuitive. Yeah since you've had some personality changes from when you were a kid when you got back, but that was to be expected. You had shut down entirely. You blamed yourself for your mother's and Ami's death, for Toshinori's injuries, for being taken in the first place. None of that was on you, and we got you help immediately, then when things got worse we sent you with your grandparents to the US to help you heal without fearing someone was going to take you away. I know you wear the wigs and contacts to prevent others from recognizing you at school and places where your friends may be, Seto and I accept that. I know you let very few people in, which is why when Hitoshi comes over I don't say anything. That and I know he won't try anything. He sees you as you see him, someone who needs someone in their corner to make things seem less lonely. I also know you act hyper around him to help keep his mind off of things from home. Seto does the same thing, and in fact he's talking with him now to see about making things more permanent for him to stay with us. I want you to be yourself without worrying about me or others around you. I want you to be comfortable when you come home and not worry about walking on eggshells. I was going to have this talk with you after school tomorrow, but after hearing your thoughts I felt like this couldn't wait till then. If you want to go to school without the wig or contacts you can, if you want to act like your normal self do that, do what makes you happy. You will only find your true friends that way. Like you have with Hitoshi," dad lays out everything he's held in for years. I look down ashamed of the worries I put him and everyone through.

"I just didn't want you to worry. I didn't want you to pull me from my dreams," I explain.

"Sweetie, I would never stop you from your dreams. I fear your mom would come back to life just to beat me to death, if I did that. I'm going to worry about you no matter what, you are my daughter, the only one I have. I will protect you with everything I have, same goes for Seto. I would burn the world to ash, if it meant keeping you both safe. As would your aunt and uncles," he tells me looking straight at me.

"Promise,"

"Pinky promise," he tells me, holding out his pinky. I giggle at his antics and wrap my pinky around his.

"Pinky promise. What did you mean about making things more permanent with Hito,"

"If he wants to stay with us long term, Seto and I are going to look into getting a bigger home for all of us. It's something we have been looking into for a while now, and we think it would be the better decision. This way if your uncle's condition worsens we can have a space for him here," he tells me, "Plus we need to get out of this apartment anyway it was supposed to be temporary until we figured things out".

"Can I help pick out the house? If Hito agrees," I ask him.

"You most certainly can," he says with a smile.

"Thank you dad. I was wondering if it was still okay that I go out with Uncle Toshi to the beach," I questioned.

"Yeah that's fine. I'm going to take a nap before I have to go out for patrol. I think your brothers won't be back till later anyway. Be safe, and no chaos please," he tells me, getting up from the table and walking past me kissing my head before going to his room.

"Love you dad,"

"Love you too, princess," he says back. I get up from the table and go to my room to check my phone's battery life. 100%, and the time is 12:50. Shit, maybe I can talk Midoriya into getting some lunch with me. I'm starving.

I quickly think about the place I want to meet Midoriya at and teleport to the top of the pier. Yes I know I'm not supposed to use my quirk like this, but who's going to know. I scan from the top of the pier for the familiar mop of green hair. I don't see it so I decide to check my phone for any messages. 5 new messages.

I check the messages from Midoriya.

11:15 I am leaving my house. I should be at the beach a little earlier than planned, but I will wait for you.

11:45: I am at the beach. I will wait under the pier for you.

Ah, that's why I didn't see him. He was underneath me.

I crawl to the edge of the roof and look into the pier's covered area. There he was sitting there with a yellow shirt, blue pants, and his red shoes.

"Hiya Midoriya, It's been a while," I say waving down at him. He looks up from his phone confused and looks all over the pier.

"Up here silly," I start waving my arm down and smiling.

"Ah, Kairi, what are you doing up there," he asks nervously. I jump down into the covered area.

"Just getting a complete overview of the area. Sorry did I scare you," I questioned.

"No, I wasn't scared. Just worried," He tells me.

"Oh, sorry. Anyway what class did you get into," I questioned him.

"Oh, 1A same as you," he tells me.

"Awesome, That means I can really show you around tomorrow," I say with excitement.

"Yeah, I plan on getting there pretty early. It'll be nice to have a familiar face around," he says with relief.

"Oh, yeah about that," I say with a sad smile, "I will be there, but I'm not sure if you remember how I looked at the entrance exams".

"Oh, yeah. You had changed your hair and eye color. Is that part of your quirk," he asked.

"Nope, just something I do to protect myself. I don't really trust people after everything, so better to pretend I am not me and that I am someone different," I explain.

"Yeah that makes sense, but wait you trust me..... You barely even know me," he states.

"True, but my uncle trusts you with One for All, and has personally taken you on to be his student. He doesn't trust many people either, most heroes don't after what happened to me," I explain, "Anyway we can talk more in a moment. I'm actually really hungry after skipping breakfast this morning and most of the meals yesterday. My treat wherever you want".

"How about Yakitori? I passed a vendor on the way over here, it smelled really good," he tells me.

"I'm sold, let's go," I say grabbing on to his arm pulling him up to start our journey. He immediately turned red and started stuttering.

"Um, K-K-Kar. Ca-ca-can you let g-g-go," he manages to get out. I let go and look down embarrassed.

"Sorry Izuku. I forget sometimes you aren't like my brother or other friends. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable," I tell him, still looking down.

"No, no, no. I'm sorry. I'm not used to a girl holding on to me, well besides my mom, but that's kind of different. Most of the time girls don't eve-," he starts to ramble.

"Izuku, it's okay. Don't worry about it, let's just walk to where the food is before I waste away," I say with a chuckle. He nods his head and begins pointing to where we need to go. While we were walking and then waiting for our food we talked more about the heroes we admired and how much, probably to my uncle's later embarrassment, he truly likes Midoriya as a possible son. This caused the green haired boy to blush as well. After eating we spent the rest of the afternoon just walking around the area and talking about my quirks and how they more or less directly worked. I told him about my mom's quirks and how I got those, leaving out about my dad and Seto and their quirks. It was nearly 6 pm when I decided it was time for us to head back to our homes to wash up and get a good night's rest before orientation tomorrow. He agreed and we both walked towards the train station to catch the trains to our house. His train arrived first and he requested that I message him when I got home. I informed him that as soon as he got on the train I was going to go to the bathroom and teleport home since it was quicker and safer for me to do so. He looked shocked at my and my use of quirk, but nodded and understood the reasoning behind its use. He promised to let me know when he was home and to meet me at school at 7:45 am since homeroom starts at 8:25. As he got on his train I made my way to the bathrooms and teleported myself back to the front door of the apartment. I grabbed my keys, unlocked the door, walked in, and took my shoes off.

"Hello, anyone besides dad home," I asked softly.

"Yeah in here Kare-bear," I hear Seto call out from the living room. I walk towards there and see him and Hitoshi sitting there with school supplies, clothes, and paper all over the floor. I sigh and shake my head at the mess.

"Dad's going to kill you when he sees the mess," I say looking over at Seto.

"Maybe, but he will be okay once I tell him the good news," Seto says, smiling over at me.

"What good news," I ask.

"We are going to wait for dad to finish getting ready before his shift and I will tell you both," Seto states.

"Though you could just look at your phone. I sent you a bunch of messages, which seemed to have gone unread," Hitoshi states.

"Sorry," I state, rubbing the back of my head, "I was doing some light training and lost track of time".

"Don't read them now, just wait dad's almost done and I don't want you to ruin it," Seto told me with a pointed look. I roll my eyes at him and then sit down on the recliner waiting for dad. It was another minute before dad walked out of his room with a tired look on his face. He glanced over at the boys, me, and the room before using his thumb and index finger to pinch the top of his nose near his eyes.

"Why does my living room look like a school supply shop threw up in it," dad asks.

"Well, dad. You see you should really ask the oldest of the bunch. He refused to tell me," I say looking over at Seto annoyed.

"Did he say yes," was all dad asked. Seto looked annoyed that he cut to the chase of his exciting news, but nodded anyway.

"Well then Welcome home Hitoshi. Kairi and you will be roommates for the time being while we look for a bigger home near the school. It shouldn't take too long to do, maybe a month or so. I presume Kairi gave you the key for the apartment already," he asks.

"Yes sir, she did," Hitoshi says.

"Well then tomorrow after school you can come out with Kairi and me to get some dinner and look at some homes. We will also go over the ground rules in the house since I am making a few changes to them this year, got it you two," dad says with a pointed look.

"Yes sir," we say in unison.

"Good, I'm off to the school to drop off some things before my patrol. Seto, make sure they are both packed for tomorrow before going to bed. They should only need a notebook and writing utensils. Kairi pack your gym uniform. Seto in bed before 10. Do you all understand," dad sternly stares at all of us.

"Yes sir, we understand," all three of us say in unison.

"Good night you three. Love you all," dad says, before waving and walking out of the apartment.

"Alright so while dad's we get to play," Seto says rubbing his hand together with an evil laugh.

"No, we need to pack up our things. You know if dad sees this when he gets home tomorrow, or sees either Hito or me dragging our feet with or without bags under our eyes. All three of us are toast," I remind my oldest brother.

"Yeah you have a point. I ordered pizza for dinner. One cheese, one pep, and cheese sticks from Pizza hut. All deep dish style. You and Hitoshi can work on his school bag and stuff. I'm going to shower. Keep an ear out for the door. When I'm done you two can decide who goes next. Let me know when the pizza gets here...... Oh and Hitoshi I put the dresser we picked up today in Kairi's room next to hers so you can put your clothes away. Your uniform is hanging up in dad's bathroom so you two aren't fighting for the bathroom in the morning," Seto says, before he gets up off the sofa and goes to the bathroom to wash up.

"So, how did he convince you to join the family," I asked.

"Just told me to join. He said that I was already family and pretty much here most of the time," Hitoshi explained, as he organized his belongings.

"So, you are officially an Aizawa now. I can put dad's cell number in your phone as papa Zawa too. After we pick up everything, you want to look at houses online. I was thinking of a five or six bedroom home with three bathrooms. I don't mind sharing a bathroom with you or Setoa, and this way we have a spare room or two," I say as I put some pens and pencils into his bag for him.

"I'm not an Aizawa. He's not adopting me, I'm just staying with you until I can get a place for myself," he tells me looking down.

"It's not a lack of trying on dad's side. If he could he would, but your parents probably won't let and then demand you back home and lock you away. He's just doing what he can to help you with some stability, plus it's like a forever sleepover," I tell him with a smile.

"Yeah, you have a point there," he says with a nod. There's a knock at the door and Hitoshi gets up to grab the pizza from the man. He comes back and lays it on the ground between us and yells out that the food is here. Seto comes running out of the bathroom dressed and sits down to my right. The living room now has all of the school supplies organized and picked up. I get up and go to my bedroom grabbing my laptop and begin searching for homes near UA High. While the three of us eat our meal discussing things we want for our new home, I am looking up places on my computer and sending links to my phone so that way when we leave school tomorrow Hitoshi and I have some places for dad to look at. It was nearing 9 pm when we finished eating, cleaning up the living room, and setting up an area for Hitoshi in my room when he went off to shower before bed. I checked my phone and saw 11 new notifications.

When I finished replying I set an alarm for 6:00 am, and placed my phone on the charger. When Hitoshi finished his shower I went next before going to bed praying to get some sleep because tomorrow is the big day.
