"He's not moving a muscle," Present Mic exclaims, "And what's with that look on his face? Could this be a Quirk at work? Hitoshi Shinso seems to have Izuku Midoriya completely stunned! He didn't stand out in the first rounds at all, but it's possible Shinso's crazy powerful! Who could've imagined this turn of events? That's the Festival for ya"!

"So here we are. You're lucky to have been so blessed, Izuku Midoriya. Now turn around and walk out of bounds like a good little hero," Hitoshi commands.

"Uh-- What," Mic, taking notice of the battle ground, "Ah! Midoriya's obeying him! Oh, no, Deku, what are you doing? He can't walk out of the ring! He'll lose the match if he does".

"Damn it Deku. Wake up," I muttered under my breath.

"Hitoshi Shinso," Mic calls out before starting to give an explanation, "His Quirk:Brainwashing! When an opponent answers his question, it flips a switch in their minds, forcing them to do whatever he says. Not every question does it, though. He only brainwashes when he wants to. Not very flashy if you ask me".

"Present Mic, play fair not favorites," I call out standing up.

"Uzumaki, sit down," Eraser states into his microphone.

"Izuku Midoriya," Present Mic continues on, "It says his quirk is strength enhancement, however it's his brain power and ability to analyze his opponent is what made him a great candidate for the hero course".

I sat down and stared at the boys below. Which friend do I want to win? The boy who has become my brother over the last few years or the boy my uncle has put his trust and power into so he can become the next symbol of peace.

I felt a hand in my hand and I looked over and saw Shoto holding on to my right hand allowing me a way to ground my running thoughts.

"Even with a Quirk like this, I have my own dreams of becoming a great hero. So, lose for me," Hitoshi states below before suddenly. One for all activates and Midoriya wakes up from trance just before he walks out. The battle ground is covered with a layer of dust and I can see that two fingers on his left hand are broken. Midoriya stands taking deep breaths trying to work through the pain.

"What's this," Mic calls out, "Midoriya stopped just in time". The crowd around begins to cheer for Midoriya's recovery.

"Yes," I state, closing my left hand in a celebratory fist, "Good job Midoriya".

"That's the way to do it," exclaims Iida.

"Whoa. I was about to freak out," Ochaco states.

"Whew, that just about killed me," Ojiro comments.

"No," Hitoshi calls out, "Impossible. You're not supposed to be able to fight back! What did you do?".

"How'd you do that," Hitoshi asks, hoping to catch Midoriya into the trance again, "Come on, say something".

Midoriya grunts looking over at Hitoshi before starting to dart towards him.

"I didn't know you had so much power in your fingers. I'm kind of jealous of you," Hitoshi taunts trying to capture Midoriya again. However when Midoruiya doesn't answer him, Hitoshi begins to talk more to bait him, "Thanks to the way my Quirk works, I've always been at a big disadvantage. But someone as blessed as you wouldn't understand that. You're lucky enough to have a heroic Quirk! It'll be so easy for you to reach your goal".

Midoriya grabs onto Hitoshi's shoulders and begins to push him backwards out of bounds.

"Say something, dammit," Hitoshi exclaims desperately before he punches Midoriya's broken fingers, and then begins to try pushing Midoriya out of bounds instead. When Midoriya fights back Hitoshi hits Midoriya in his face and begins pushing him back further causing Midoriya to grunt in pain.

"You've gotta be kidding me," Hitoshi exclaims while still pushing Midoriya, "Get out of this ring, you lucky brat".

Midoriya yells as he grabs Hitoshi and throws him over his shoulder and onto his back out of bounds. Effectively ending the match and knocking the wind out of Hitoshi.

"Shinso is out of bounds," Midnight states, "Midoriya advances to the next match"!

The crowd begins to cheer in excitement, as I look down at my friend feeling sorry for Hitoshi since I wasn't exactly cheering him on despite our bond.

"And with that expertly performed throw, we have our first victor of the finals! Class -A's Izuku Midoriya," Present Mic exclaims, causing the crowd to go wild.

"Ugh, that was so nerve-wracking," states Ochaco with a sigh.

"Turning the tables at the last moment--," Iida states, "a classic Midoriya maneuver".

"He's pulled that shoulder throw on you before, huh," Denki taunts Bakugou.

"Shut your damn face, Sparky," Bakugou replies.

"Oh, yeah! That was actually kind of a boring first match, kids," Mic states, "But both of you fought bravely. Let's show them some love, everyone". The crowd begins to applaud the two boys.

"Why do you wanna be a hero? What's driving you," Midoriya asks. Hitoshi grunts at the question.

"You can't help the things your heart longs for," he replies.

"You were awesome out there, Shinso," states one student.

"We're proud a' you," states another.

"You didn't tell us you were that good," states another.

"Yeah, you're the star of our program," states one of his classmates.

"I can't believe you put up such a great fight against the dude who was in first place earlier," states another student.

"With a Quirk like that, it would be very simple to capture dangerous villains. Wish I had it," states one hero.

"I can't believe they stuck him in General Studies," states Ms. Joke, "Those idiots".

"Well, there are a ton of applicants each year," states another hero, "Guess sometimes people slip through the cracks"..

"If only he had more combat experience," states a hero with a robot voice.

"Yeah, I bet he would've dominated," replied his friend.

"What a waste," replies the hero with a robot voice.

"Shinso, you hear that? It's great! They think you're incredible,"states his classmate.

"I'm proud of you Hitoshi. You gave it your all," I yelled from my seat standing up.

"Depending on the results, they might transfer people into the hero course. Remember that. Even if it didn't work out this time, I'm not giving up," states Hitoshi with a smile, "I'll get onto the hero track, get certified, and then, I'll become a better pro than any of you".

Midoriya nods at him and then gets a dazed look on his face causing Hitoshi to chuckle.

"You know, usually people tense up whenever they talk to me except for Kairi and you," Hitoshi states, "If you're not on guard, someone's going to defeat you. So be careful."

Hitoshi then cancels his quirks hold on Midoriya.

"You better not lose and make me look bad," Hitoshi states.

" I won't," exclaims Midoriya before he becomes trapped again.

"I'm going to start heading down now," Shoto states.

"Want me to walk you down," I question.

"No, I can manage," he replies.

"Okay, well. Good Luck Shoto. I'm rooting for you," I tell him with a smile. He nods at me before walking away.

I turn in my seat to look over at Bakugou, Denki, and Kirishima.

"So Denki, our match is coming up. Are you excited," I ask.

"I don't normally fight girls," he starts.

"Nope, I don't want to hear that. That's a cop out," I explain, glaring at him, "You should be going all out in our match. I'm not holding back, and trust me you haven't seen me at my best yet".

He gulps in fear and nods. I turn back in my seat only to be waved over by Iida and Ochaco.

"Kairi, come sit with us," Ochaco states.

"I'm okay, thank you for inviting me though. I don't think this will be a long match," I inform her.

"Ah! There you are, Deku," Ochaco states as she notices him, "You did good".

"Come on down here," States Iida as he waves at him, "we saved a seat for you".

"Ha! Thanks, guys," Midoriya states as he walks over to them. He pauses when he passes me.

"Don't worry about it Midoriya," I state looking up at his face, "If anything you inspired Hitoshi more and might even help him break out of his shell a bit more".

"Thank you for your help either way, Kairi," he states, smiling at me.

"You're welcome. Besides I owed a favor to someone close," I inform him, smiling as well.

"Enough standing around. Now welcome to the ring, our next players. He's got skills," Mic calls out introducing the next contender, "But at the expense of some really creepy-looking elbows. From the hero course, it's Hanta Sero".

Mic then turns his attention to the opponent, "Versus, an early frontrunner in the competition who's way too strong for his own good! Someone who rightfully got into the hero course based on recommendations! It's Shoto Todoroki"!

"And now, for the second match of the finals," Mic states, "Ready".

"Well, I don't really feel," Sero states before being interrupted.

"Begin," exclaims Mic.

"Like I can win this fight. But, man," Sero states before he wraps shoto up with his tape and begins to move him to get in out, "I don't feel like losing, either".

"That attack could throw his opponent out of bounds," Mic calls out, "A brilliant, surprise opening from the underdog! Way to start off strong, Sero".

"It's over," I muttered as I noticed Shoto's foot grazing the ground and ice shooting out of his foot coating Sero, half of Midnight, and some of the stadium.

Sero gasps as the cold begins to set in, while Shoto lets out a cold breath.

"Called it," I state looking down, seeing Shoto's face laced with remorse, but then turning his attention to the audience with a glare.

"Um..," Sero states with a slight shake to his voice, "Don't you think you went overboard"?

"Tell the truth, Sero," Midnight states, shaking as well half covered with ice, "Can you move at all"?

"Are you kidding? Obviously not," he states shaking, "My body is freezing".

"Sero has been immobilized," she states, "Todoroki advances to the second round".

The crowd begins yelling out Nice try! Down below Shoto walks up to Sero to defrost him from his icy prison.

"Sorry about that," Shoto states, "It was a bit much. I was angry, is all".

"Well while we get the ring and crowd defrosted let's take a small break before the next round. Kairi Uzumaki vs Denki Kaminari," Mic states, "We will call everyone back in a few moments before the next round begins. So stay close by and warm folks".

BTW: the new my hero Movie You're next is amazing and there is a short post credit scene. like 1 minute not related to the movie.
