Chapter 11: USJ Part 1
*** This had to be broken up into 2 parts. It was well over 70 pages.
When dad woke me up again at 5 I decided to just stay awake and make a pot of coffee for the both of us. Dad decided to take half of it on his way to work, and said that Seto was bringing Hito and me to school for three reasons. One to avoid a repeat of yesterday, two because I was very tired from lack of sleep, three because Seto was off and needed to run errands today for the house paperwork. We are supposed to be closing on the house at the end of the month, and start moving in as soon as we get the keys.
I poured what was left of the coffee into three cups, mine was about a fourth of a cup with Coffee Mate Italian cream creamer and 2 spoons of sugar. It was more creamer and sugar than coffee, but it works all the same in my book and it tastes better. When we left I handed the cups to Hito and Seto and Seto handed us small breakfast sandwiches to eat on the way. While on the way to school I laid my head on Hitoshi's shoulder and vaguely listened to the news reports. We arrived at school and Seto parked where the teacher's park in the back of the building to drop us off without issues.
"Make sure you check in with Recovery Girl before classes. Hitoshi, make sure she gets there please, otherwise gran will come after all of us," Seto tells us.
"Got it/ Understood," we said while getting out of the car. We waved as Seto drove off, and began making our way to the office. When we arrived I noticed Deku waiting there as well.
"Everything alright Midoriya," I questioned.
"Yeah I'm fine. Recovery Girl just wanted to check me over again and give me the all clear for hero training today," he informs me. I nod with understanding.
"Well if you want to wait until I'm cleared we can walk to class together and catch up," I inform him.
"Yeah, that would be awesome," he replies. Recovery girl gives me a look over making sure my head has healed as well as my nose.
"Everything looks good. Your brain seems completely healed, but you look exhausted, did you get any sleep," she questions.
"Nope, dad and Seto kept waking me up every 2-3 hours and then kept me up for 30 minutes to ask me questions," I explained.
"Oh, I forgot to mention to your dad that he should have let you sleep. There's a recent study that states that letting you sleep with a concussion is better for you. It helps you heal, waking up or not getting sleep is very bad for a normal person. Either way you are going to heal, but you should have gotten more sleep. I'm going to recommend you keep the bracelet off today and heal some more. Midoriya can you help her with keeping away from getting her head knocked today, well actually can you have one of your classmates look out for her. I don't need you breaking any more bones for the time being," Recovery Girl states.
"I'll let Shota and Mina know. They usually keep me pretty safe when I am with them," I inform her. Recovery Girl nods her head and shoo's us off.
"Are you ready for the hero training class today," Midoriya asks.
"Definitely, I can't wait to see what we are actually doing with the rescue planning, plus the free range of my elemental powers will be pretty nice to use," I inform him.
"Rescue," he questions.
"Oops. Yeah we are working on rescuing today. I snuck a peek at the lesson plan on dad's desk last night when Seto was keeping me up," I explained.
"So we will be rescuing people," he asks.
"More like our other classmates or dummies," I explained.
"That's so cool," he tells me.
"I guess, but you can't tell anyone. I wasn't supposed to know," I informed him. He nods.
"You got it, not a word," he tells me. I smile at him.
"HEY PRINCESS! WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH DAMN THE NERD," I hear from down the hall. I roll my eyes before looking at the loud mouth of the class. I waved to Midoriya to go into our classroom where we were near the teacher's entrance. He nodded and made his way quickly into the class.
"Just walking to class, Bakugo. Same as you," I informed him, walking over to him.
"Why are you coming from the other way," he asks, looking around.
"I had to get a check up from Recovery Girl. I needed a clear bill of health before classes today. Thankfully I heal really quickly and I was cleared for all forms of activities. Even my nose is back to normal," I explain. He nodded and then walked into the classroom. I shrugged my shoulders and walked in behind him. Shoto noticed me and waved me down.
"Good Morning Kar. Midoriya said I needed to keep an eye out for you in crowds. No more getting knocked around," Shoto explains.
"Yeah, they are worried my head isn't all the way healed yet, and don't want a repeat of yesterday, is all," I inform him.
"Yeah, I heard Mr. Aizawa was mad when he was informed what happened. He demanded they pull the videos up to show who did it," Sho states.
"I wouldn't put it past him to be honest," I tell him, "Kinda surprised Seto wasn't in on it as well to be honest".
"Yeah, I think things would be very bad if he got involved," Shoto states. I sit down at my desk and see my bag already there. I guess Hito dropped it off for me before going to his class.
"Good morning class," Eraserhead says coming into the classroom. Everyone sits down and becomes quiet.
"Good Morning Mr. Aizawa/Sir," I said sir, while everyone else said his name.
"Today things will be a bit different after lunch. You will not have 5th and 6th period. You will come back into this classroom like normal, but there will be a surprise to discuss," he explains, "No I will not tell you what it is, so don't bother asking. Uzumaki I got news that you were cleared by Recovery Girl, but I still want you to take it easy. You had a head injury and you can still have a concussion without any of the symptoms being present".
"Yes sir. I promise no head injuries today," I notice him glaring over at me, "Or ever sir. Yep definitely ever".
"Good, that goes for all of you. No head injuries, or any injuries today. Moving on. When lunch is over come back here and we will go over what the afternoon plan is. Understood," he questions.
"Understood," we all chimed back. After that he gathered his sleeping bag and laid on the floor to catch up on his missed sleep. Lucky bastard. The rest of the morning flew by and at lunch Shoto and I sat with Hitoshi again and talked about last night and the plans for this evening to start packing up clothes in the house we aren't going to wear until after we move into our house. Shoto says that he will come over with Natsou and Fuyumi to help us move. We tried to decline but he said Seto already agreed to it. Hitoshi took my plate away for me when lunch was over and then we went to our respective classes to start the after lunch classes.
As we wait everyone starts to try and guess what is going to happen this afternoon, while I just lay my head down on the desk to rest since I was starting to get a headache with all of the anxious and exciting thoughts entering my mind without my consent. I could feel Shoto reach over and place his cool hand on my head. I turn to face him as I begin to feel the pressure on my head to lessen.
"Thank you," I mouthed to him. He simply nods in response. With his quirk and having direct contact with someone it lessens the thoughts as the focus becomes just on one person.
"Why is Bakugo glaring at me," I hear Shoto think, "I don't believe I talked with him today. Did I offend him somehow? hmmmm.... Not that I can recall....... I hope Kairi is okay. I wonder what Fuyumi is making for dinner. I wonder if Kairi would like to come over for dinner tonight. Natsuo is coming home and father is working late so he won't be home tonight. Which is a plus for everyone,"
"Shoto, I can hear every thought," I thought through the link.
"Oh, sorry. But will you come to dinner tonight," he thinks.
"I will have to ask my dad, but I don't see a reason why I can't,
"Good, I'm sure Fuyumi and Natsuo will be happy to see you,"
The door to the classroom opens and in walks Eraser. Shoto removes his hand from my head and I pick up my head off the desk. All of my classmates are now quieted down with their thoughts. Erasure makes his way to the podium and sets some papers down before looking towards his audience.
"Today's training will be a little different. You'll have three instructors. Me, All Might, and another faculty member will be keeping tabs on you," he says addressing the class. Everyone begins to gasp at the news.
"Sir! What kinda training is this," Sero questions.
"Rescue," Eraser replies, "You'll be dealing with natural disasters, shipwrecks, stuff like that".
Everyone begins to discuss among themselves.
"Disasters, huh," Denki states slightly worried, "Sounds like we're in for a big workout".
"Totally," Mina says excitedly.
"Real hero stuff," says Kirashima, "This is what separates the men from the boys. I'm shakin' with excitement".
"Finally, I'll get to show off how good I am in water. Ribbit," says Sui.
"Guys, I'm not finished yet," Eraser says with annoyance, making everyone gasp in mild terror.
"What you wear in this exercise is up to you," he begins to explain, "I know you're excited about costumes...," he presses the keypad on his desk to open the wall and allow the cases to come out, "... but keep in mind that you haven't gotten used to them yet, and they might limit your abilities. This special training's at an off‐campus facility, so we'll be taking a bus to get there. That's all. Start getting ready".
I grab my case and move to the changing rooms. I had upgraded my goggles last night when I was staying up at one point. I added a few new features like calling, getting texts and answering them, and a small gps screen. I need to work more with Powerloader on getting some updated tech or getting with Nezu and retouch nano tech again. I go into a stall and take out my contacts, placing my goggles on and testing to see if it's linked to my phone while on school internet. I leave my hood off since there will probably be some water rescues. The goggles can be used as a way to communicate with others for search and rescue. I didn't really make them waterproof yet. I walk out of the stall and change into the rest of my suit. When I walk out of the room I make my way to the area where we are to wait for the bus.
"HEY! PRINCESS," I hear from behind me as I get closer to the waiting area.
"Hey, Dynamite. What's up," I questioned him after I turned around to face him.
"Why was Icy/Hot putting his hand on your head earlier," he asked, as we began walking in sync towards the waiting area.
"My head was hurting, and he had noticed it I guess. So he used his cooling side to basically apply a cool pack to my head," I explained.
"I thought you got a clean bill of health from the nurse," he questioned.
"I did, but everyone in the class was either excited or anxious which sent my brain into overload and I started to get a headache," I further explained.
"Why do their emotions affect you," he tells me.
"Not emotions. Thoughts. Very loud thoughts and lots of them. I don't like telling people but I can hear thoughts. I am good about not listening to them at all but when emotions are high thoughts get louder and they just come into my head," I tell him. He looks down at his feet, but nods with understanding.
"So testing can be a real pain," he tells me.
"It would be, but the bracelet I usually wear dampens my quirks and helps keep the thoughts out unless I'm in a really big crowd like I was yesterday," I inform him. He nods again. When we make it to the open area where several classmates are already waiting he walks off alone away from me. I walk over near Shoto who is sitting on the bench near where Bakugo walked over to. As I walked in front of Shoto he looked up at me confused at my outfit.
"Why aren't you wearing your hood," he questions.
"Wouldn't make sense if we are doing water rescues and I have to actually get in the water," I explained to him.
"Makes sense, but why wear your goggles now," he asks. I pull down the goggles for a moment with my eyes closed before opening them showing him my natural hazel eyes before closing them and pulling the goggles back up.
"I took them out to let my eyes have a break, though I doubt I will need to use my dad's quirk, I don't like when chlorine gets in my contacts and further dries my eyes out," I explained.
"That's true. I'm sure that would be painful for you if you had your contacts in while you were in a water rescue," he tells me. Suddenly a whistle blows.
"Gather around, Class 1‐A," Tenya yells out, "Using your student numbers, form two neat lines so we can load the bus efficiently"!
"Yeah, this is going to be a pain, huh," I question Sho.
"That's why I voted for you," He tells me.
"Sorry," I say with a dying look and regret. We load onto the bus without needing to form two rows to board. I sat next to Shoto on the bus behind Bakugo and Jiro. Shoji, Sero, Koda, Mineta, and Tokoyami sat behind us on the last row that sat 5 people. Across from Shoto and I sat Toru and Orjiro, in front of them sat Ochoco and Momo. At the front of the bus sat the rest of our classmates and my dad.
"The bus's open layout ruined my boarding strategy," Tenya complains.
"Well you have to think that they have to plan for kids who are taller and wider from their quirk, Iida," I explain trying to soften the blow.
"Iida, you really need to chill," Tsu chimes in, "If we're pointing out the obvious, then there's something I wanna say... about you, actually". She points over towards Midoriya.
"About me? What is it, Asui," he askes. Calm down Izuku. She's probably not even going to mention All Might. I inform him in his mind.
"I told you to call me "Tsu"," she tells him.
"Oh. Yeah, right," he says bashfully.
"That power of yours. Isn't it a lot like All Might's," She ponders. Shit! She's on to you!! Deny like your life depends on it!! I remind him in his mind. He yelps in surprise at her comment and my thoughts in his head.
"What? Really? You think so, huh," he says kinda scared and worried, "I never really thought about that. I guess it's kinda similar...,"
"Wait, hold on, Tsu," Kirishima interrupts, "You're forgetting All Might doesn't hurt himself. That makes a huge difference". Midoriya makes a sigh of relief.
"Still, I bet it's cool to have a simple augmenting‐type a' Quirk," Kirishima continues, "You can do lots of flashy stuff with it. My Hardening's super strong and can destroy bad guys in a fight, but it doesn't look all that impressive". He activates his quirk to show it off some more.
"Oh, no way, I think it's really awesome looking," Midoriya defends, "You're definitely pro material with a Quirk like that".
"I agree, just because you don't see it for its full potential doesn't mean that it's not as good as the rest of ours," I chime in with a smile. Kirishima blushes at my complement and begins to rub the back of his head.
"You really think so," he questions, "Seems like it'd be easier to be a popular hero if I had somethin' flashier' "?
"My Navel Laser's got the perfect combination of panache and strength," Ayoma states with a wink. Who is he looking at?
"But it's way lame if it gives you a stomachache, sweetie," Mina states.
"Well, if any of our classmates have pro Quirks, it's Uzumaki, Todoroki and Bakugo," Kirishima states. Baukgo grunts in response, Sho is resting his head against the headrest, and I just smile.
"Awe thanks Kirishima," I say with a smile, "But I am not really all that impressive".
"Sure, but Bakugo's always angry," Tsu says, "so he'll never be that popular".
"Uh‐‐ What'd you say? I'll kick your ass," Bakugo says, standing up and leaning over the railing before him.
"Ya see," Tsu says as if proving her point. I reach over and push him back down into his seat keeping my hand on his left shoulder in case he tries to get up again.
"Y'know, we basically just met you," Denki says, putting his hands up as if to say whatever, "So it's kinda telling that we all know your personality is flaming crap mixed with garbage".
"You're gonna regret the day you applied to this school, you loser...," Bakugo says turning to face Denki and begins to try and stand up. I move my right hand and put it on his right shoulder and put my left hand on his left shoulder and push him down in his seat. He sits back down and pushes me back causing me to land into Shoto's lap. Shoto wakes up and places his hands on my waist to steady me. When I go to stand he just keeps them there and pulls me back into his lap to keep me still. Strange.
"Are you okay," I whispered to him looking back at him. He nods.
"Yeah, I just need you to stay where you are for a minute," he whispers in my right ear. I nod in response, "Just tap me when you are okay with me getting off".
"Wait, what did you say," Denki yells back.
"Yeah, but it's kind of fun listening to them fight," Uraraka states with a chuckle.
"Like hell I will," Bakugo yells back, still standing up.
"Hey, hey, we're here," Eraser states standing up, "Stop messing around".
"Yes, sir," Everyone but Bakugo states who chimes in with Whatever. As we exit the bus Sho stands next to me and we stand towards the back of the class as we are waiting to hear our next bits of information from one of our teachers,
"Hello, everyone, I've been waiting for you," says a voice coming from the Space suit in front of us. Everyone begins to gasp in surprise at the person before us. Midoriya begins to fanboy in the front of the group, while everyone else is letting out their own versions of surprise.
"I can't wait to show you what's inside," Thirteen states with excitement.
"This is gonna be awesome" exclaims most of my classmates. Thirteen opens the doors to the USJ to show everyone what they are about to be getting into.
"Holy crap," Kirishima exclaimed taking in all the sites, "It looks like some
kind of amusement park"!
"A shipwreck. A landslide," Thirteen explains, "A fire. A windstorm. Et cetera‐‐I created this training facility to prepare you to deal with different types of disasters. I call it the Unforeseen Simulation Joint. But, you can call it, USJ"!
"Hey, shouldn't All Might be here already," Eraser questions loudly, "Lemme guess, he booked an interview instead".
"Actually, it's something else," Thirteen states.
"Hm," Eraser questions.
"Apparently he did too much hero work on the way to school this morning and used up all his power. He's resting in the teacher's lounge," Thirteen explains.
I can feel my dad's eyes rolling at the notion before he states, "That man is the height
of irresponsibility...............The clock's ticking. We should get started".
"Excellent," Thirteen states with excitement, "Before we begin, let me just say one thing. Well, maybe two things. Possibly three, four, or five".
"We get it," all the students state.
"Listen carefully," Thirteen starts, "I'm sure you're aware that I have a powerful Quirk. It's called Black Hole. I can use it to suck up anything and turn it into dust".
"Yeah, you've used Black Hole to save people from all kinds of disasters before, haven't you," Midoriya states/ questions.
"That's true, but my Quirk could also very easily be used to kill," Thirteen explains making several of my classmates gasp in surprise, "Some of you also have powers that can be dangerous...... In our superhuman society, all Quirks are certified and stringently regulated, so we often overlook how unsafe they can actually be. Please don't forget that if you lose focus or make the wrong move, your powers can be deadly. Even if you're trying to do something virtuous like rescue someone. Thanks to Aizawa's fitness tests, you have a solid idea of your Quirk's potential. And because of All Might's combat training, you likely experienced how dangerous your powers can be when used against other people. Carry those lessons over to this class. Today, you're going to learn how to use your Quirks to save people's lives. You won't be using your powers to attack enemies or each other, only to help. After all, that's what being a hero is all about. Ensuring the safety of others".
"Thirteen is so cool," Midoriya calls out.
"That's all I have to say. Thank you so much for listening," Thirteen states ending her speech making everyone cheer.
"Right. Now that that's over..," Eraser gets interrupted with the lights flickering with electric pulses moving from light to light before they shut off. The water in the fountain flickers between turning off and on, and suddenly a purple and grainy warp portal opens up in front of the fountain. Everyone gasps slightly afraid of what's going on. This causes my dad to look behind him and he softly grunts, having a bad feeling about what is about to happen. The portal gets bigger and suddenly a white hand comes out before another comes out and expands the portal.
"Stay together and don't move," Eraser states with authority. Kairi stay with thirteen. Dad's voice enters my head with a plea of command to keep me safe. I nod over at him and he commands Thirteen to protect the students.
"Whoa, what is that thing," Kirishima questions with mild terror. Midoriya and a few other classmates gasp as we notice a person covered with hands walking out of the portal before several other bodies come out as well. My hands start to shake as I begin to realize what is happening and that some of us will be caught in the crossfire of the villains below.
"Wait, has the training started already," Kirishima questions again, "I thought we were rescuing people".
Midoriya and I begin to walk forward though for different reasons as more villains walk out of the purple mist.
"Stay back," Dad yells back at us. He looks over at me and I can tell he has noticed my hands beginning to shake even more noticeably. The rest of my classmates seem to begin to understand what is happening and Sho grabs on my hand to try and ground me. My dad lifts his goggles up to his eyes covering them.
"This is real. Those are villains," he explains, confirming what most of us already knew.
The purple mist would sometimes have yellow eyes, but it seemed to be talking when its eyes were visible.
"The only real heroes I see are Thirteen and Eraser Head.," the mist-being stated, "Perplexing. According to the schedule we retrieved from UA. All Might should be here as well".
"So you scumbags used the press as a cover and sneaked onto campus," Eraser confirms.
"Where is he," the man with hands all over questions, "I went through the trouble of bringing so many friends who are eager to meet him. They want All Might. The great Symbol of Peace. I can't believe he's not here. Maybe if I kill a few kids, he'll come out to play".
My dad activates his quirk as he pulls his scarf off of his neck. Thirteen placed her arms out to keep us back. While I know my dad is a pro-hero, and this is part of his job. His quirk, while good for close combat, isn't really made for this kind of contact. His quirk is best used with stealth, not out in the open. As much as I would like to use my quirk I know my dad wouldn't like it, and it could give away that someone here was his child since most villains know that he can only cancel one quirk at a time. The villains that worry me the most are the one with a lot of hands and the one that is standing next to him that looks like a monster with a beak. We don't know what any of them are capable of, but they seem to be the ringleaders of this break-in. I can feel myself panicking on the inside as the worry for my father rises. I hold Sho's hand tighter, and begin to take deep and slow breaths and remembering that while this is all going on I need to focus on what I can do to help.
"What? Real villains? No way," Kirishima states, "How could so many of 'em get into a UA facility this secure".
"Yeah, Thirteen," Momo begins to question, "Why aren't the alarms going off"?
"Good question," Thirteen says, turning around, "I'm not sure". This causes everyone else around us to gasp in worry. This means no one is coming to help us.
"Is the entire campus under attack," Shoto questions, reminding me that Hitoshi could also be in trouble, "Or is this their only target? Either way, if the alarm sensors aren't being triggered, then one of these villains must have a Quirk that's masking their presence here. They carefully chose this isolated facility as an entry point at a time when a class was being taught. They're fools for trespassing here, but they've thought this out. Whatever their plan, they must have a concrete objective in mind. But what is it".
This makes everyone gasp in fear.
"They want to destroy hope," I mumble out, "Kill the symbol of peace and if they hurt a few kids in the meantime, it's just collateral damage".
"Thirteen, get them outta here," Eraser calls out and begins walking in front of Thirteen, "And alert the main campus. Actually, if they've got the ability to block our sensors, then they might be jamming our regular communications, too. Kaminari, try using your Quirk to contact the school. Uzumaki see if you can use your goggles to call someone at school and alert them to what is going on".
"Yes, sir,"/ "On it," Denki and I say.
"What're you gonna do? You can't fight them on your own," Midoriya calls out while I try to make contact with Nezu or Seto, "There's too many of 'em. Even if you can nullify their Quirks, your fighting style's not suited for this. Your power works best in stealth and one‐on‐one fights. That's not gonna help with a group".
Eraser looks back at me and I shake my head letting him know I am unable to get through due to lack of signal. He sighs, but nods with understanding.
"You can't be a pro if you only have one trick," he informs him, making everyone around me gasp, "I'll leave it to you, Thirteen".
He then takes a running start and jumps down the stairway gripping on to his scarf to prepare for battle.
"Shooting squad. Take your aim," calls out a villain with metal at the tips of his fingers.
"Didn't our intel say it was just gonna be Thirteen and All Might out here? Who's that," questions another who had what looked like ropes for hair.
"Don't recognize him, but if he thinks he can take us down easy, he's dead," the guy with a gas mask and horns states. Eraser quickly makes quick work of them by getting them wrapped in his, noticing that my dad has a handle on things Thirteen encourages us to make a break to the door to get to the bus and out of this facility.
Midoriya and I stayed near the ledge for a while to watch how things are going. Him because he is curious, me out of concern for my dad.
"Whoa. He's holding them off," Midoriya states surprised, "I guess I shouldn't have underestimated him".
"He never ceases to amaze me either," I inform Midoriya with a smile.
"This is no time to be analyzing," Iida tells us looking back, "We have to go"!
Midoriya and I nod in response and begin running with Iida towards the exit. Suddenly we hear Thirteen gasp as the purple mist guy cuts off our path.
"There is no escape for you," says the mist, "It's a pleasure to meet you. We are the League of Villains. I know it's impolite, but we decided to invite ourselves in to this haven of justice to say hello. And besides, isn't this a fitting place for All Might, the Symbol of Peace, to take his last breath? I believe he was supposed to be here today, and yet I see no sign of him. There must've been some sort of change in plans we could not have foreseen. Ah, well, in the end, I suppose it doesn't matter. I still have a role to play".
I see Thirteen move to use her quirk to stop him, but before she can Bakugo and Kirishima jump in front of her stopping her from using her quirk. They both attacked the mist, but even from where I was standing I can tell it didn't do anything to him since he doesn't have an actual body.
"Did ya think we were just gonna stand around and let you tear this place to shreds," questions Kirishima.
As the smoke clears I can see the mist guy getting bigger as if he was angry for the interruption, before he speaks, "You live up to your school's reputation. But you should be more careful, children. Otherwise, someone might get hurt".
"You two, get out of the way, right now," Thirteen yells out, but she's too late.
"I'll scatter you across this facility to meet my comrades, and your deaths," the mist calls out before sending a big gust of mist and wind over our class. I try to grab on to Midoriya but he isn't by my side anymore. I use my wind quirk to gust me out of the mist to the guardrails for the walkway. I look over and see Iida, Sato, and Ochaco who are looking back at the mist that has covered our classmates.
"What's going on," Iida calls out.
"He's warping them around to different areas of the facility," I inform him, "I tried to grab Midoriya before I gusted out with my wind quirk, but when I went to reach for him he was already gone".
When the mist vanished all that remained of our class was Iida, Sato, Ochaco, Shoji, Mina, Sero, myself, and Thirteen.
"Shoji. Got them? Anything? Where is everyone?," Iida askes.
"They've been scattered across the facility. But our classmates are still here," Shoji confirms my thoughts. They are still here. Dad is still fighting down by the fountain, and holding his own, so it's good on that front.
"What do we do," Sero asks, "The guy's not affected by physical attack and can apparently teleport stuff".
"Class rep," Thirteen calls out.
"Yes," questions Iida.
"I have a job for you," she informs him, "Run to the school and tell the faculty what's going on here. The alarms aren't sounding, and our phones and radios are useless right now. One of these villains must be to blame. Even though Eraser Head is canceling people's Quirks left and right, we're still completely sealed off from the outside world. Likely, whoever is causing this interference hid as soon as they warped into the USJ. They could be anywhere. Impossible to hunt down. It'll be faster for you to run and get help than for us to find whoever's jamming everything".
"Yes, but‐‐," Iida starts, "It would be disgraceful for me to leave you all behind. Wouldn't Kairi be the better choice with her ability? She beat me in the race for our quirk assessments in time".
"No," Thirteen stated firmly, "If something happens we need her here. She can handle things if they worsen".
"Go, Emergency Exit," Sato says walking forward, "There are lots of alarms outside. That's why they're keeping all of us trapped inside the USJ, right"?
"As long as you can get outside, they won't follow. Blow this bastard mist away
with those Engine Legs," Sero states, getting into a fighting position.
"I can help hold him off, just give the word Thirteen," I chime in while walking to stand near Shoji off to the side of Thirteen and putting my arms up and outwards palms facing the villain before us.
"Use your Quirk to save others," Thirteen says, "Be a real hero"!
"I can help you out," Ochaco states, "Just like I did when I floated you in the cafeteria. Okay? No prob"!
"Please, class rep. Do it," Thirteen exclaims. I hear Iida revving up the engines in his leg.
"Even if this is your only option, are you really foolish enough to strategize in front
of your enemy," the mist asks.
"It won't matter if you know what we're planning or not when I'm done with you," Thirteen states.
"Black Hole," she yells. I look back at Iida and
"Ah, Black Hole, the Quirk that sucks up matter and turns it to dust. Such an astounding power," the mist states, "However, you're a rescue hero, Thirteen, skilled at saving people from disasters. Consequently, that means you have little fighting experience or battlefield awareness".
"Thirteen watch out," I yell, noticing the mist man has opened a second portal behind her and begins to use her own quirk against her. She yelps, noticing what is going on, while my classmates gasp in worry.
"He opened a warp gate," Thirteen states in surprise, this causes the villain to chuckle at her despair.
"How unfortunate," the mist mocks, "You've turned yourself into dust".
"I'm sorry. He got me," Thirteen apologizes.
"Thirteen," Mina, Ochaco, Iida, and Sero yell out.
"Iida, get outta here! Go," Sato yells.
"U‐Uh‐," Iida hesitates.
"Engine," Iida yells, finally making his move.
"A sheep trying to escape from the wolves," the mist tauntes, "I simply can't allow that".
Iida runs past the mist and goes to make it to the exit, when another mist portal opens up right in front of Iida. Shoji jumps into action and catches it in his arms.
"Run!! I've got him," Shoji yells while struggling.
"I'll be back in a flash," Iida says.
"You impertinent child," the mist yells out, "You won't set foot outside those doors"!
Then the mist begins to surround Iida and Ochaco and I begin our attack.
"I have no time for this," the mist yells some more, "Be gone"!
Ochaco goes after the mist's neck piece.
"I don't know what his Quirk is, but he's wearing some kinda weird armor," Ochaco says as she touches his neck piece making him leviate, "So he must have a physical body inside here somewhere. Now! Run, Iida"!
"You pest! How dare you," the mist yells out. Iida makes it to the door and pries it open as Sero and Sato keep the mist occupied.
"Engine... Boost," Iida yells out as he opens the door and begins to run out.
"Keep Running Iida we got you! WIND GALE," I yell as I clap my hands in front of me causing a huge gust of wind to help Iida out the door and towards help.
Damn, everything hurts. I hear my dad's voice in my head. Now that I'm no longer focusing on the issue of getting Iida out I can hear my dad's thoughts and his pain. I look around and try to see him from my current position.
"Kairi, what's wrong," I hear Ochaco say. I run over to the staircase and see the beak-faced man holding my dad's head down to the ground, his goggles smashed around him, and his arm seems to be bent at an unnatural angle. My hands begin to shake, out of fear or anger I am not sure at this moment.
"Eraser," I whisper out. I can barely hear his gasping in pain. Sero looks over at the scene as well but I can't hear his comments of the gruesome sight.
"Kairi, what are you-," I don't hear the rest of Sero's question as I put my hands raised in front of me, palms facing outwards. I close my eyes powering up the wind around me before I flash down towards the middle of the stairway before I teleport myself to the left side of the beak man. Then before he can even notice I activate my Erasure quirk and punch him with all of my momentum causing him to go flying into the woodland area. I glance over at the hand guy, but notice he doesn't seem concerned about me, and begin to help lift up Eraser from the ground, putting his left arm over my shoulder and helping him stand.
"Kairi, you shouldn't be he-," Eraser starts to say.
"You can yell at me later sir. Now isn't the time," I explained, before using the wind to help gently levitate us back to Thirteen and the others. I didn't want to rush and cause further pain to Eraser. I was probably 8 feet in the air when a hand grabbed onto my left ankle/foot, began pulling me down, while crushing all the bones in my bones. I lost grip of Eraser as I fell, but kept my wind activated to float him down as gently as possible. The beaked man kept a grip on my leg, stopping my body from healing correctly. It held me up to its face before screeching at me and then slamming me head first into the ground nearly like Eraser's was mere moments ago. On the lucky side my goggles thankfully flew off as I was being pulled down, so I didn't end up with a cracked eye socket. I looked over to where I'm sure Eraser dropped and saw him lying on the ground a few meters away. So much for not reinjuring my brain.
Then as fast as lightning a foot stomps down on to my right arm, shattering every bone causing me to scream out in searing hot pain. Damn, I came down here to get my dad out of here, and now I'm getting smashed about.
Eraser begins groaning in pain as his body and I can see him looking over at us, his eyes red from his quirk and angry.
"Look at this Nomu," a scratchy voice calls out, "a new toy to play with just as your old one was beginning to break".
"You can erase peoples' powers," the voice calls out, causing me to tense thinking he figured out it was me to pause the quirks during my rush down, "That's irritating, but it's nothing impressive. When faced with true, devastating power, you might as well be a Quirkless child".
I hear a portal open behind me and I look up to see the mist is now over by us.
"Tomura Shigaraki," the mist calls out.
"Kurogiri, did you manage to kill Thirteen," the scratchy voice questions.
"The rescue hero is out of commission," Kurogiri confirms, "But there were students
I was unable to disperse and one of them got outside of the facility, and I can see another has ended up down here to try and save her teacher".
"Huh?!," Shigaraki growls out and then begins to pant, "Kurogiri... You fool... If you weren't our warp gate, I'd tear apart every last atom in your body. There's no way we can win if dozens of pros show up to stop us. It's game over. Back to the title screen. And I was looking forward to finishing this today. Damn it. Let's go home".
"Oh, before we leave, let's make sure the Symbol of Peace is broken. Let's wreck his pride" Shigaraki states before making a dash towards the shipwreck area where Midoriya, Tsu, and Mineta are located right near the edge.
"Let's make this hurt," he says as he places his hand on Tsu's face. I activated my Erasure quirk hoping to stop whatever damage was about to happen.
"You really are so cool...," Shigaraki states with amazement, "..Eraser Head,". The Nomu then hops off of me and begins to attack Eraser again, bashing his head back into the concrete below. Midoriya jumps up out of the water aiming a punch at the villain before him.
"You! Let her go! Now! Smash," Midoriya calls out before punching the area where the villain was. I saw the Nomu dash to that area, so I can venture to say that he stopped the attack from reaching his boss. As the smoke clears I can see that Midoriya has landed his hit but in the abdomen of the Nomu instead of his original target.
Midoriya freezes upon noticing that the Nomu wasn't hurt nor did his attack hit who he aiming for.
"Deku, get out of there," I yell out.
"You're pretty powerful," Shigaraki states, "This "smash" of yours... Are you one of All Might's disciples? Doesn't matter. I'm done with you now".
I get up by levitating myself to avoid putting pressure on my foot, and use the wind to push me forward hoping to stop Midoriya from getting smashed up, and I activate my Erasure quirk to stop Shigaraki from using his quirk on Tsu and Mineta. When suddenly the doors of the USJ burst open, and I stopped midway to Midoriya.
