Prologue. She Dies In The End

PROLOGUE.               SHE DIES IN THE
END

Francesca Louise Donovan life isn't quite perfect. Two absentee parents. Mommy and Daddy issues. Some of her classmates might as well just say that she was envious of her friends who had present parents / parental figures. She wasn't envious of her friends. She loves all of her friends.

Her friends who always made her life less miserable. Until now.

This wasn't supposed to happen. She was too late. The dagger that she had been clenching on fell onto the kitchen floorboard. Clink! Clink! Clink! She felt herself losing her balance. The sound of the clanking instantly captured his full on attention. His eyes immediately landing on the girl.

This made his jaw clench. He didn't like the teenage girl. Never trusted the girl being near his little brother.

Get away from him —

She still had yet to notice the hybrid who was trapped in the living room. Bonnie Bennett had put up a barrier to block him from leaving and slaughtering their loved ones in Mystic Falls for what they have done. Specifically, for what Jeremy Gilbert done to complete the hunters mark.

LEAVE!

He was about to open his mouth until she spoken. The sadness and anger in her voice was evident as he witnessed her cradling his deceased brother.

Francesca cradled his body, her eyes just watering as another tear rolled down, "Oh, Kol —" She drew small circles on his face. He was so unrecognizable. The stake still in his heart as she couldn't remove it, "Why couldn't you wait, or - or just listened for once." Her voice had cracked. She screwed her eyes shut and had sat on the kitchen floor for what felt just like eternity.

The hybrid felt like his eyes were deceiving him. There's no way that she cared that much for his deceased brother.

          There's no way —

Her silence was now leaving him in complete shambles, so he opened his mouth, "I see you retrieved one of my daggers —" Francesca felt her body flinch at the sound of his voice. Fear in her eyes soon became evident after she had seen him standing in the living room, as she attempted to shield her sad eyes , "Those tears you weep are they for my brother?" There was no amusement laced in his tone. He was angry. Angry from what he had witnessed not too long ago.

Francesca felt her own jaw clench, holding tightly onto his deceased body, "Since when do you care? You never cared for him." Her heart was racing not from fear, but anger. The damn audacity Klaus Mikaelson had for speaking on her current state when he wasn't even showing an ounce of emotion.

"Do not lecture me about my family," He remarked back, "Now answer my question, Francesca. Why have you got access to one of my daggers?" He didn't trust the girl. For all he knows her tears could be false.

She blinked, mouth opening, "I went through your belongings," She confessed. Her heart had picked up a bit speed as she noticed his face turning more red, "I - I just wanted to get it so you —"

She felt so horrible for even thinking this. She knows - knew how much that Kol despised this. The dagger silenced him too many times, as it also ruined the many adventures that he could have taken within the centuries.

"Could dagger, Kol," He had finished her sentence. A tear slid down her eye. That is what he planned after he heard of all the ruckus his brother was 'causing.

There was a moment of silence. She had felt like such a failure, "I'm sorry," Francesca had whispered just loud enough for the hybrid to hear, but she wasn't speaking to him, more so speaking to Kol, "I'm sorry for being such a damn failure. I couldn't save you. I can't even save anyone." She felt her own voice breaking apart.

She still holds so much guilt for her sisters death. She also still blames the two vampires who arrived into town earlier despite forgiving them, but never forgetting. She just blames so many people, especially herself.

The sound of her phone vibrating instantly snapping her from her thoughts. She dug her hand into her jean pocket and seen the contact name. She stared at the contact name with no emotion as she clicked answer, "Where the hell are you at, Frankie?" Matt's voice boomed. He was concerned about her. He still doesn't know what Elena and Jeremy Gilbert did to actually complete the Hunter mark.

"Out," She nonchalantly spoken, "Why? Is there something wrong?" Yes, there is. The very first person she's deeply ever loved is dead.

Matt sounded thrilled, though he still wasn't aware of the entire situation that he was told by his friend, "Bonnie said that Jeremy completed the mark." Francesca felt her blood just start boiling. She wanted to be mad at Matt for just sounding too happy, but she didn't snap. So, she had just decided to ask him if he knew on how Jeremy completed the mark.

"How did he complete the hunters mark?"

"Does it matter on how?" Matt retorted before continuing his sentence, "Those vampires that he killed were probably bad people." He softly said.

          Kol was a bad person.

Klaus seen the sadness in her eyes.

"Yeah."

Francesca just wanted to scream.

"What time are you going to be getting home? I'll probably get home late." All he cares about is the safety of his sister. He can't lose her in a world of supernatural drama lurking in their town.

"I'll be home soon. Don't worry about me, Matt." This was a lie. She wasn't going to come home soon, "Talk later. I love you." She quickly hung up the phone not wanting to be on the phone any longer.

Francesca felt conflicted, but her mind is already set. She had pressed a soft kiss on his forehead. Hand grabbing the dagger as she just made her way into the living room, ignoring the stare from the hybrid who rolled his eyes and made a remark, "Come to sit and join me mourn my brother." He sassed.

No response.

Though, he continued speaking some more despite her not responding, "If you are to be expecting my brothers ashes. You won't get a portion of any." He was being selfish and he knew that. He just didn't care. Just as he was about to make another remark, he was hit with a scent of blood. Her blood.

This made his body go rigid. The moment he turned towards the girl that's when he seen the blood starting to stain her chest. She was laying in the sofa slowly dying.

That's when panic set into his eyes. He bit his wrist and forced his blood down her throat. As she then taken her very last breath as a human girl.

I really do hope you like the
prologue.

As you can tell her relationship
with Klaus isn't great, but it will get
better.

Anyways - first chapter will be the pilot
of season one. 😙 Francesca isn't a mean girl. She's very sweet and forgiving. Idk she may at some point have her humanity off, idk. 🤷🏻‍♀️
