Belladona, the 2nd most powerful family in the imperial city, were known far and wide as the "House of Talents". Their oldest, Rose Belladona,  was the first in line to become the next head of magic, the twins,  Addison and Aiden, had impeccable beauty anyone had laid eyes upon, in addition to that Addison had a photographic memory leading her to remember anything she read making her a very intelligent girl, Aiden on the other hand was more of a "Brawns over Brains" type of guy, he would join any physical activity, making him a natural talent in swordmanship, archery, fistfights, and even running without breaking a sweat. 

And then.....well, there was Rhody. She wasn't the best but she wasn't the worst either, she was just there, well that's what her family thought, in reality Rhody had the potential to do anything she wanted, whether it was music, academics, or even magic, but they wouldn't know that since they would focus on either the eldest or the twins without even realizing it. Rhody was stuck in a tightrope, she was younger and older at the same time, so it was difficult to be heard. 

Her parents say that when she was born,  they knew the name "Rhody" would suit her, but they didn't know that the only reason why they thought of that name was because of the will of the gods. Rhody's name was created as a shorter term for a beautiful yet deadly flower "Rhododendron", only a sip of the nectar would create poison that could kill someone, of course, Rhody didn't have "nectar", she had pheromones. If she felt threatened, scared, or any negative emotions she could release scentless pheromones that could either make someone faint for an unknowing amount of time or in extreme cases, kill them. But if she felt happy, or any positive emotions she would unconsciously release sweet pheromones that could gain people good luck.

Rhody knew what the "blessing" could do, but no one else did.  She became aware of these so-called "powers" when her closest aide tried to kill her at the young age of 6. When her parents awoke from Rhody's scream of help, and ran towards her room. They first saw blood, at first they thought it was their daughter's but when they looked down, they saw the maid holding  poison, unconscious with blood still running, and Rhody was hugging her toy all curled up in front of the maid, the parents thought that it was the miracle of the gods, but really it was just the start of Rhody's fate.....
