"A light in the room

"Oh." I feel a pressure in my stomach. I stop singing and Avi looks over concerned. I just look down at my stomach and put my hand where I felt the pressure. I feel it again and feel my eyes start to water. "Avi come here." I say forgetting that we were on stage. He walks over quickly and wipes the tears off my face. "is something wrong?" He ask worriedly. I shake my head and take his hand putting it on my bump. He looks at me funny and I just press down slightly. When I am fixing to pull Avi's hand away the baby kicks. "Woah, is that the baby?" He whispers. "Yeah." I reply letting more tears run down my face. "I hate to break up this beautiful moment you are having with my niece or nephew, but we have to finish the show." Scott says. I look up and blush, remembering that we are on stage. I quickly try to wipe, my now smudged, mascara and clear my throat. "Sorry guys, lets get on with the show." Avi says and everyone cheers.

We finish 'Run to you' and next Avi sings 'Standing by'. During the whole song the baby kick harder and more frequent. I place my hand on top of my bump trying to calm the baby down but it doesn't work. When Avi finishes the song we all say goodnight and head off stage. We head to the dressing room and I immediately sit down letting out a sigh. "You okay, Kirstie?" Mitch asks. "Yea. This baby must already know Avi is their daddy. Through all of 'Standing by' they kicked a lot more and harder." I tell him rubbing my stomach. "Can I feel?" "Sure." I take his hand and place it where I just felt kicks and press down a little. When Mitch feels the kick his eyes light up. "That is amazing!" I laugh and Avi walks over, sitting on the other side of me. I see Mitch get up and walk over to Scott and Kevin, so Avi and I talk. "It was so cool that our baby's first kicks were on stage." Avi says. "Yeah. I'm just going to have to get use to the kicks soon. The whole time you sang 'Standing by' they kicked. I guess they like hearing their Daddy sing." "does it hurt when they kick?" I shrug. "Not to much, it's mainly uncomfortable." "I'm sorry." "Don't be. It's amazing to get to feel them kick. That means we're doing something right." "Good. I love you." He says while kissing me. "I love you too."
