Katsurou didn't bother making friends until he heard it from his mom one day.

"You know, Katsurou, your dad was kinda horrible at making friends too, back in the day, you know?" Izuku says, "he was such a bully..."

And so Katsurou, in his lifelong goal to overthrow his father and become the number one hero and have his mum love him more than that good for nothing never home freak, decided that he needs to have good friends, but everyone is scared of his claws, aside from that weirdly strong kid who brings wooden tonfas to school and calls everyone a herbivore aside from him.

Katsurou tries to be friends with him, and so that guy, named Kyoya, gave him a test to prove his carnivore-ship to him or something, they tussled, Katsurou won because he has tough scales Kyoya's weird flame quirk can't crack. Their hang outs usually consists of wresting each other, beating shady people up in the name of Hibari or trying to enforce rules to the other kids in their kindergarten.

Kyoya is weird, all he eats is meat. Katsurou calls him a wuss for giving Katsurou the pickles of his hamburger but it's free pickles so of course Katsurou eats it, his mum told him never to waste food after all.

Yesterday he gave a girl her original ice cream back and now he made another friend. She doesn't seem to have any sort of self preservation as she came over and hugged Kyoya, Kyoya never lets anyone hug him but.

"Get off." Is all he says, the girl, named Nagi, just giggled and hugs Katsurou instead, Katsurou patted her back because that's what his mom does to him.

And so they all became friends, and his mom was very happy about it.

Of course his stupid dad is just looking at Katsurou like he's a weirdo or something, speaking of his dad, he still hasn't forgiven him for last time. Sure, he's spending a week with them now but Katsurou demanded that he stayed with them for a week like a month ago-

"Katchukun, have some snacks?" So her mom thought junk food is okay but ice cream is not? Well it's free food, Katsurou takes some chips off her bag and she smiles bright at him.

"Hm, Carnivores should not eat a herbivore's food."

"It's potato chips Kyo-kun, eat some."

"I refuse."

Katsurou takes a chip and shoves it in Hibari's mouth, making sure that the ravenette got every single chunk swallowed down before he released him.

"There, was it that bad?"

"..." Hibari hits him with a tonfa.

"Hey!"

And then they 'play' again and Nagi cheers for them in awe.

They only stopped when class is back in session again, Katsuki thinks it's stupid, they've been doing 1+1 and 2+2 for awhile now, his mom back at home is already teaching him to multiply and divide and properties and stuff, why does he need to study for this?

"Katchukun, do you know what 7+5 is?"

"It's 12."

"Huh?" Just to make sure, Nagi still counts by herself and she gasps, "Wow! Katchukun is correct!"

"Of course I am!" He puffs up his chest a bit, Nagi smiles at him bright, from that point on, Katsurou decided it upon himself that he should also be the number 1 hero so he can fight Nagi's mum, or dad because her dad situation is probably the same as him, makes big money but never goes home.

You can't hug money for comfort and he's 100% sure that his mom won't stop crying at night when he thinks Katsurou is asleep if his dad just threw money at them, they live comfortably but he's not happy that his stupid douchebag of a father is getting away with not being a father. Which is why Katsurou wants to grow up soon, so he can marry his mum instead and he won't be sad anymore because he'll have a husband who's actually there-

He's cut off his thoughts when a tonfa gently hits him on his head.

"You look mad." Hibari says, "it's a good look but you don't wear it often."

"Shut up and finish your maths."

"I finished mine already."

"I finished mine too."

"...This is the first time I saw your dad, you look a lot like him."

"He looks ugly, compare me to my mum instead."

"You have two dads."

"The one who's color green."

"But you don't look like him."

"...Just say that I look like him-!"

"You look like him." Katsurou sighed in relief.

"Good."

He saw pictures of his dad, then he looks into the mirror, he would bite them but his mum loves the pictures so he doesn't. He looks strikingly like his dad, except his eyes are completely red and he has hard scales and a tail and claws, he's developing horns too. Atleast he knows which part of the family he got most of his soon-to-be quirk on and that's fair enough for him.

They get home after that, Nagi hugs him good bye, Hibari stares when Nagi stretches her arms out for a hug, then Hibari  walks away, Katsurou pats her back if it's any conciliation before he runs back to his mom, grabbing his arm, Izuku smiles at him. He thinks at it for awhile before he outstretches his hand to his father too. The blond looked too happy to hold his hand even though he's trying to hide it.

His mum gets him a hot dog on the way home, extra spicy, then he douses it in hot sauce and eats it, Izuku giggles.

"Kacchan, Katsurou eats just like you!" Katsurou decided from then on that he will not like spice anymore.

Well, until he finishes his hotdog.

Ah but he really likes spice-

"Hey, carry me!" Katsurou asks to his dad, the man happily takes him up, yes move for me, servant.

"Ah Katsurou, do your legs hurt?" Izuku asks, Katsurou nods just so he can have an excuse to keep being carried, this is the bomb although he really would prefer if his mum was the one that did it, but his mum needs to relax, his father will be the one doing all the work while he's here if he has anything to say on the matter.

"Kacchan, I can carry him-"

"No! I uh- I wanna stay with daddy!" He said in the most convincing way possible, Izuku coos.

"Okay okay, Katsurou can stay with daddy." Katsurou does not want to stay with 'daddy', although the old man looked about to cry over it, he's just trying to save some trouble for his mum, Katsurou gets ontop of his shoulder and grips his hair hard, his father only paused for a second before he continued walking, serves you right, old man.

They get home, Katsurou asks for a bath and reaches out for his mum who happily takes him off his father's arms, his father said that he'll be making dinner and Izuku kissed his cheek // and Katsurou's as to not upset the blond // before they left to take a bath.

Katsurou can take a bath on his own but he's a lil kid and he's a lil kid that wants his mum to bath him, plus his tail is hard to reach right now, and his back is also hard to clean so Izuku takes care of that. Sometimes his mum gets into baths himself and Katsurou gets to play splash with him, today was one of those days they've already cleaned up and was now just playing with the bubbles and the water, giggling to themselves.

They stay cozy in the bath for a few more minutes before bath time is over and his mum lifts him out of the bath, taking a towel and handing it to Katsurou because Katsurou knows to dry himself, just not wash, or so his mum thinks. Mum tells him to go before him and Katsurou leaves the bathroom before his mum, wearing his clothes and getting out of the room to his father in the kitchen.

Katsurou climbs unto a chair before Katsuki even notices he was there.

"Oh hi, how was kindergarten?"

"Why are you asking, you were there."

"Ah, well you know, I just wanted to ask."

"..." Katsurou doesn't reply.

"You seem to be making friends."

"His name is Kyo-kun, he's weird, he only eats meat and gives me the vegetables in his food."

"Doesn't seem healthy- where's your mom?"

"Still in the cr, he told me to go before him."

"Ah..." his dad blushes suspiciously, Katsurou squints.

"Why weren't you able to stay a week before?"

"Ah... I was you know, busy with work." He murmurs, "my job is a bit tough you see."

"But you're staying a week now."

"Er, I sneaked off of work-"

"You couldn't do that before?" Katsurou huffs, upset then he hears a door creak and his face returns back to normal, his mum sits next to him, he smells really nice.
