'cause the first part was too long for my liking, and writing sassy Viole was straining my energy.

In the world of love,
there is no right or wrong.
The worst case scenario
was loving someone that
didnʼt love you back.

The next day, Viole woke up late trying to figure out a way on how to live his whole life with missing colors. Aguero's constant appearance in his life made his conviction waver, and it's starting to scare him out of his wits. He once thought about getting away from this ordeal, and from Aguero, but it seems he was meant to be masochistic.

Anyway, what's important is that he knew he was fucked.

"Sorry I'm late!" he yelled, immediately putting on his apron, then started going through today's specials. "Mr. Akraptor, tell Wangnan he's free for the morning. I'll take over."

"You're the best, boss!" he heard the blond shout from the far east table.

Viole first helped Ehwa brew some of the complicated blends, waiting for Wangnan to finish collecting the dishes before he got out of the kitchen and onto the front lines to greet and take orders from customers.

"Jasmine Tea and one set of tuna sandwiches for Table 3, 2 orders of Café Americano and a cup of Earl Grey on Table 5, and a Blueberry Macchiato with Tiramisu on Table 6. Also, one Peppermint Latté to-go."

Viole sat on the counter seat while waiting. Then, he noticed an addition to the glass vase where the Violet from yesterday was. The flower looked like Zinnias, as he saw ones with yellow color. But this one was kind of purple, but with a dash of another unknown color. Maybe it's what they call red? Or maybe he's hallucinating since there was no way he'll ever get to see that color in this lifetime.

"Oh, by the way, Khun dropped by earlier and placed those... What did he call them again, Akraptor?" Ehwa said, popping out of nowhere.

"A Magenta Zinnia. Described it as kind of closer to red, but more on the violet side."

'Magenta, huh?' Viole thought, then got back to work. 'It seems like a pretty color.'

Several shifts later, Aguero, Rak, Shibisu, Hatz, and Endorsi arrived with supplies for their renovation.

"Yo, Bam." Aguero seemed to be enjoying the sound of the name coming out from his mouth, and Viole swears he's dying inside. "I'm thinking of those small windmills, how about colors between blue and magenta?"

"You know those are the only colors I can see. Stop being a know-it-all, Aguero." After he said that, the insatiable man just laughed, swinging his arm on the brunet's shoulders. "And stop being such a stickler, Bam."

Fuck those deep cobalt eyes he always drown on.

"Uh, hello?!" Endorsi screeched from the sidelines which Viole was eternally grateful for the rest of his messed up life. "Single woman here? Can't you please give a bit of respect, and actually stop acting like a married couple?"

Hatz appeared behind her and smacked her head with a roll of decorative foil. "Shut up and help already, woman! And you, earrings! Just get to the point already or I'm selling Bam off to a blind date!"

After Hatz managed to drag Endorsi off to somewhere far, the workflow became stable and soon enough, only a few final touches were left. Viole noticed that the atmosphere inside AXIS became more vibrant, but maybe it was the Placebo Effect acting, or it was the fact that he was doing this shit with Aguero that his heart and mind went haywire.

They were in the middle of cleaning up when Viole noticed an intricately designed envelope fall from untangled aluminum wires.

To: KHUN EDAHN

You are cordially invited to Shinsu Orphanage's 20th Founding Anniversary to be held at Kami no Tou Hostel; 29th of July 20XX, 9:00 in the evening.

, was what he read. He picked it up and lent it to the bluenet, who accepted it sheepishly.

"My good-for-nothing father went off again to somewhere. As the most active son, I am expected to represent him." Aguero sighed, pinching his noseline in annoyance. Must be hard being a son of Khun.

Then, Viole remembered Jinsung handing him the same invitation days ago which he set aside in case he actually thought of showing up. It's just that Shinsu Orphanage was where Jinsung adopted him- after trying to return him once he knew his grand escape- and it brought back things in his past that he preferred to bury deep, deep down.

"I suppose I could go with you."

Viole mentally facepalmed, internally scolding himself for such an obvious giveaway of feelings. Now, he would once again suffer the consequences of succumbing to his inner desires.

"I was meant to go with Jinsung, but he, Hansung, and Hwaryun decided to disappear on me," he shrugged, trying to keep his cool despite his panicked state.

To his relief, Aguero grinned. "That's great then. Should I pick you up, or we'll meet at the entrance?"

"Let's meet at the entrance," he replied.

No matter how tempting it sounds, he would either humiliate himself in front of the young Khun, or spend the time unconsciously fawning over the latter's perfection.

It was the day of the event, and Viole found himself quite nervous, as he was sure he'd somehow find Aguero's muse among the unfamiliar crowd. He thought of that the whole day yesterday, until he fell asleep, so now, his mood felt a bit sour.

When he finally got outside of his car, lending the keys to the valet, the flashing lights inside the main hall almost blinded him, if not for a certain built figure standing in front of him. He probably should attend more of these, or else he would become more antisocial than he seemed.

"Welcome, milady." There stood Aguero, wearing a white tuxedo-pants set, with several blue linings and two types of flowers on his breast pocket and his hand, which reflected a reddish glow, probably from the light. "An orange blossom for a blooming beauty?"

"Asshole." Viole glared at him, despite the awe he was feeling watching him greet like a pure bred gentleman. He accepted the blossom Aguero offered and used it as an ornament on his own breast pocket. He glanced at the other one, then asked. "Finally taking the chance to meet your muse?"

Aguero just chuckled, offering his hand to Viole to which he accepted. "We'll see."

'Might as well cherish this last moment of catharsis. After this, I'm back to my monotonous world, but Aguero will be happy,' he thought, catching up with his soulmate with trails of his red accented black tail coat following after him.

The party was more enjoyable than he thought. He was able to meet the orphanage's director, and mingle with others (more or less business talk). But the limelight wasn't his cup of tea, so he found his way sneaking out of the main hall and into the hotel's infamous garden. He liked the solitude and the view the sanctuary gave him, especially the moment where fireflies started appearing- one of the things he was thankful for having dual sight.

He wondered where Aguero was and what he was doing right now. Maybe he was hogging the dance floor with his muse in his embrace. That was his best bet, and he would be utterly thankful that he was not there to witness it personally. No matter how sincere he was in wishing for his best friend's happiness, the fact that it was not with him left a bitter aftertaste in his mouth. But it's okay, that's love and life. So fucked up.

"I swear you're deliberately making me chase after you every single time, Bam," a familiar baritone voice called out behind him.

The brunet fixed his expression before facing the latter. "Don't you have any other business to do? Like finding the love of your life?"

"Oh Bam," Aguero sighed fondly. "I told you, I already found him. And he's making it harder for me to say that to his face."

He stepped forward, taking advantage of Viole's stupefied state of mind.

"I met him when I was with my sister, visiting this orphanage eight years ago. He was unapproachable, but innocent and attached to a certain yellow haired wench. The moment our eyes met for a split second, he brought color into my life, but was cut short because time was up. I swore to meet him again, but when I returned, all I heard was the news of his escapade."

An inner turmoil was awoken, but Viole still was dumbfounded.

"Years later, we met again in a café run by his foster father. He seemed to recognize me, but kept denying the obvious connection between us. He may have had the wrong idea about my antagonism toward this soulmate thing, so I just obliged, hoping that by doing so he would not slip away from me again." Aguero walked closer, staring intently to Viole's eyes. "I made the ploy of beautifying his sanctuary, to make him accustomed to the hues he had always denied, while indirectly confessing my undying feelings to him.

Blue Violets, the closest to his name, and a promise of faithfulness. Magenta Zinnia, that destined or not, my love for him will never waver. Orange Blossom, a symbol of his innocence, and my eternal affection."

Aguero looked at the blossom on his breast pocket, then held it tenderly, placing it on Viole's palm. "And now, a Red Tulip, for him to believe in my declaration of love. He is my muse, the love of my life, and my soulmate. Jue Viole Grace- the Twenty-fifth Bam."

Viole's lips trembled as he felt the tulip on his hand. "I don't understand. Your eyes-"

"Ever heard of eye contacts?" the bluenet removed it, revealing a golden color similar to his. "You don't need to understand, Bam. Just let me show you how the world looks like rose-colored."

The brunet collapsed into his embrace, as Aguero captured his lips with his own, sharing short, but sweet chaste kiss.

"So, is that a yes?" Aguero clarified, even though he already knew the answer.

"You pining bastard," Viole mumbled, his head buried on the crook of his neck as he felt the other chuckle.

And he witnessed with his own eyes as his whole worldview burst with colors, the hues he could recognize, blending with the surroundings in harmony, and the feeling of having himself whole, as if finding something he had searched for his entire life.

the point is, that Bam is afraid of rejection that's why he couldn't see the rest of the colors even though he already met Khun eye to eye. Khun could see them, because he had acknowledged his feelings and link with Bam. Although, as long as Bam doesn't want to accept their destinies, their eyes will remain dual-colored.

this whole fanfic was Khun making Bam accept his inner feelings in Bam's perspective.

it turned out this way because i have zero talent for love, soulmate aus, and basically writing XD. i kinda liked the first half tho-

i hope you enjoyed the fanfic i called romance!
