Personality
Branwen is a calm, collected individual that has impeccable manners and is incredibly polite. She has a quiet kind of strength and is a very modest, humble person. She's well known for her kindness and being one of the few genuine politicians that call Nicosia home, dedicated to making sure that the people that live in Nicosia and other districts in general can safely benefit from the law and feel safe in their communities. She isn't nearly as much of a showboat or as loud as her political peers, and rather than relying on showmanship, she prefers to let the facts speak for themselves (but she can always present them in a way that makes it impossible for anyone to argue with her). She never makes a promise she can't keep, and while she is a peacemaker at heart she isn't afraid to go toe-to-toe in debates and meetings, fighting for the common citizen and revealing a fierceness that only adds to her beloved image. Branwen rarely gets flustered and powers through potential issues because she has the reassurance that she is fighting for a good cause. She has built up many alliances and loyalties and the people of Nicosia tend to rally up around her and support her. In private, Brandy's personality doesn't change much. She's as dedicated as ever, working on documents, meeting with local leaders of the community and showing up at local events, volunteering at and donating to charities, and drafting bills to help address any issues that may be plaguing the community she currently resides in. When around loved ones, she displays a light playfulness, often teasing them at times. While she detests the loud arrogance of her peers, she enjoys being surrounded by fellow passionate people, even welcoming it when they get animated as she feels like it livens up the atmosphere. It is also only at the behest of her loved ones that she ever really takes a break as she tends to get too focused on her duties. She especially tends to get scolded when she falls asleep at her desk after working all night and often has to be kicked out of her office in order to get some proper rest. The only person she truly lights up around is with her lover, becoming more affectionate and loving with them and only them. Brandy is incredibly loyal to her loved ones and the ideals she holds, rarely making any sort of exceptions unless her hands are tied.
Backstory
Brandy is the only daughter of the Ambassador of Nicosia Ambrosia Freidrich and her husband Steven Carolis. She doesn't remember much of her childhood due to her being sick for most of it, the earliest she can think back to was when she was ten years old, but even after she got better she still wasn't much of an outdoorsy or active child. She grew up learning all about the political world and saw all the good her mother was doing, and so she decided to follow in her footsteps. She dedicated herself to learning all there was to know about law and politics while spending a lot of her free time volunteering and helping charities. When she was at college, she ended up meeting and falling in love with (Y/N). The two would spend a lot of time together, whether it was real dates or simply studying in the same room with each other because no matter what they were doing, Branwen was just happy to be with them. When the two graduated, however, they would end up breaking things off due to how (Y/N)'s job would take them out of Nicosia and Brandy's career would make it difficult for her to leave with them (a long with other factors that would influence your oc's decision). Brandy would go immediately back to purely dedicating herself to her duties, becoming a senator.
Powers/Abilities
Brandy has healing magic and can heal herself and others no matter the severity of the injuries (though using too much of this ability will cause her to faint). She seems to manifest a lot of good luck wherever she goes as the people she works with find great success in their personal and private ventures. She also possesses photokinesis, which is the ability to control and manifest light at will, and portal creation, in which she can manifest portals to take people safely to other locations so long as she's been to said locations before.
Weapons
She doesn't have any weapons, for the pen is mightier than the sword, as they say.
Strengths
She is morally incorruptible and is great to have around during emergencies, as not only does her leadership skills lend themselves to such a situation, but her ability to create portals makes it easy for her to be able to evacuate innocent civilians.
Weaknesses
She is allergic to cheap metals as well as iron and steel, so she doesn't wear a lot of jewelry. Despite how well-loved she is, Branwen doesn't really feel worthy of affection. She's always believed that there's something wrong with her, that there's something missing that would complete her and make her a whole person. The closest she has felt being complete is with the one she fell in love with, but even then it feels like she's still missing something...
Other
Branwen's father is a famous cook known for winning numerous competitions and even hosting several cooking shows. As such, she actually knows quite a lot about cooking, and while she does have staff that cook for her, she likes to occasionally cook herself to either help relieve stress or to just take a break from all of her other work. She occasionally bakes as well, though she's better at baking bread and other things like it rather than cookies, cakes, etc.
~SCENARIOS~
It's been a while since you were last in the District of Nicosia. Your career prospects had taken you out of the district that you had called home at one point, however the only reason why you thought of it that way was because of one person: Branwen Freidrich. She was someone you had met in college in one of the general requirement classes freshman year, and ever since you first saw her, you had a crush on her. You eventually built up the courage to ask her out and she said yes. Long story short, the two of you were practically inseparable throughout you college years and you were even planning on proposing to her... until the both of you realized that things weren't going to work out, mainly because of how your careers would take you away from from each other. The two of you talked about maybe having a long-distance relationship... but with how long you would be away, you didn't want to keep Brandy waiting for you. As much as it pained you, you wanted her to be able to have someone who would be by her side, even if that person wasn't you. The two of you decided on breaking up, and you left Nicosia while she stayed. And now you were back.

And now you were back. You were having a lot of success in your career and you finally got to the point where you could have enough free time to travel around. You decided to go back to Nicosia, see all the old and new sights and reminisce about your college years... however, it was hard not to wonder about what Branwen was up to. You'd basically forced yourself to not look up how she was doing, as a part of you feared that you'd see her with someone else and you didn't know how you would react. After all these years, you'd never dated anyone else; you just couldn't without thinking about her. While your thoughts were wandering, you hadn't realized that you'd walked over to one of your old date spots: a cute cafe that Brandy had fallen in love with. You opened the door just in time when someone was walking out, holding a cup and a little bag with some confections with you narrowly avoiding bumping into them. "Oh, sorry about that." The person spoke as she stepped out of the doorway with you suddenly freezing at the sound of her voice. "Thank you for opening the... door..." her voice trailed off as she glanced up and caught sight of you, her breath catching as her familiar soft, lilac purple eyes met yours. It felt as though time was standing still as the two of you gazed at each other before Brandy's surprised expression melted into the same warm, loving look she always gave you. "(Y/N), I had no idea you were back in town. How have you been?" She asked as she tilted her head slightly, a smile on her lips as she just took you in while waiting for your response.
You...?

And now you were back, though it wasn't for the best of reasons. Something had gone wrong, terribly wrong, and now you were on the run (for whatever reason makes sense with your oc). You remembered that you'd had an apartment that would act as a sort of safe house in Nicosia; in truth it was the one you once shared with Brandy, but you figured she probably moved out of it when you went away, especially since you knew how much of a success she'd become and you just kept paying for the apartment in case you ever needed it. You were glad that she was doing well... though you couldn't help but want to see her again in person. You shook your head to clear it; you couldn't start thinking about her right now, you needed to get somewhere safe. Not to mention that anywhere you went wouldn't stay safe for long and you couldn't reach out to her because you wanted to keep her safe... and technically you were supposed to be dead too.
You eventually reached the apartment, and though you forgot where the key to the front door was you remembered that one of the windows had a weird latch that you could force open. Making sure to not make any noise to alert any neighbors, you sneak in. You'd just finished closing the window, the apartment dark before you heard the front door open, causing you to freeze as your mind was racing. Who could it be? Were you found already? were among the first thoughts you were having, your body tense as the person flipped on the light... and suddenly you didn't know what to think. It was none other than Branwen herself, the one and only woman that's been on your mind through everything you've gone through. You watched as she closed the door behind her, placing her keys on the side table before looking up, her eyes landing on you. A myriad of emotions flickered over her already tired expression as you could tell it'd been some time since she had a proper night's rest; a mixture of shock, disbelief, surprise, and confusion. "(Y-Y/N)...?" She whispered before she shook her head, not believing this was happening "... I-I must be more exhausted than I thought." She murmured to herself, rubbing her eyes as she thought you must be some kind of hallucination.
You..?
