Saying that Sayuri was merely in a bad mood after discovering the identity of Bruce Wayne's newfound son would be an understatement. A million thoughts were whirring in her head, the most prominent of which was what if Ras Al Ghul had finally found out where she was and sent his grandson to hurt all of them?

She couldn't get rid of the horrible feeling that warned her that if anyone got hurt due to Damian, it would be her fault entirely.

At first she thought of disappearing once again just so the Al Ghuls could leave the Waynes alone. She had even taken out her suitcase to pack but then paused knowing that she wasn't one to flee from crises.

If Damian really was there to hurt her loved ones, she would stay and fight for them. She couldn't leave them to deal with him on their own and definitely not if he was here because of her.

Furthermore, she couldn't bear to leave Tim again.

Her door knocked and she opened it slightly to see Devin, one of Linda's internee nursing staff.

"You've got visitors, Sayuri."

"Tell them I'll be down in a minute," she replied.

He nodded, "you know you are allowed to meet visitors in your own room as well, right? It's just that we've got the cleaning staff in the visiting room and the garden's not free either."

"Oh," she replied politely, "send them here then."

"Sure, have a great day," he smiled as he went back to convey the message.

She quickly threw the suitcase under her bed and piled back her clothes in the closet. Soon after the door knocked again and this time it wasn't Devin but Richard and Tim standing outside.

"How're you doing, Timbers?" a smile spread on Sayuri's face as Tim hugged her and she gently ruffled his head.

She stepped aside to let them in and gestured them to be seated. The three sat down cross legged on the white bed and Sayuri looked at Tim as if waiting for him to answer the question she had asked.

"I'm okay I guess," he replied, noticing her gaze, "I suppose you've heard about Bruce's new masterpiece."

Richard tried to stifle in his laughter as he remarked, "what he means to say is that he's absolutely thrilled to have a younger brother."

Tim rolled his eyes wearily which even made Sayuri crack a small smile. "No thanks. He's more of an irritating little brat as compared to other younger brothers. As if having Bruce around wasn't enough already... Now we've got a mini Bruce who likes to kill."

"Hey," Richard rebuked amid his laughter, "I thought you had no problems with Bruce."

"You thought right," Tim replied, "but I do have a lot of problems with his biological son." He uttered the word biological using his fingers as quotation marks.

Sayuri was simply observing the two, but her mind was far off wondering what on earth Damian was planning to do to them all.

"He's not that bad once you get to know him," Richard stated which was quite expected since he was the sort of person who tended to find out the silver lining in each cloud.

Tim nodded, eyes shifting in irritation, "yeah totally. He's not that bad to you. But as far as I'm concerned, he's a complete demon kid."

Richard chuckled at the remark, playfully ruffling Tim's hair. No wonder he enjoyed seeing him so annoyed as it was rather unearthly for Tim to dislike someone with that intensity.

"Hey are you even listening?" Tim spoke up noticing that Sayuri had zoned out for a whole minute.

His voice startled her as she nodded, "of course I'm listening. And I agree, he is a demon kid."

Richard looked at her slightly confused, "you can't say that, you haven't even met him yet."

She raised an eyebrow skeptically as if saying: you don't know that yet, Grayson. But she kept her thoughts to herself, not voicing it out loud. She was still not sure of Damian's true intentions and she knew it would be foolish to reveal anything without confirming why the demon kid was there in the first place.

So she changed the topic slightly as she asked, "how about you guys tell me exactly how you met this younger brother of yours?"

That was the cue for Richard to dive into a detailed explanation of what exactly happened between Ubu, Damian and Nightwing.

Sayuri listened closely and was a bit surprised to find out that she couldn't connect the dots between the case regarding Deathstroke and Ras Al Ghul sending Damian as a tool to execute vengeance.

"So I called up Bruce who was literally not surprised whatsoever and later we all figured out that he had found about Damian just recently and was working on the case with him and his mother. Apparently Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke had infiltrated the Al Ghul base and killed Ras Al Ghul as well."

"Hold up," Sayuri straightened upon hearing that, "he killed Ras Al Ghul?"

Richard and Tim glanced at each other, surprised to see her immediate reaction. But he continued nevertheless, "yeah so that's why Talia brought Damian over to Bruce so that he can look after him. She thinks Deathstroke will come after them so she wanted to leave her son, I mean her and Bruce's son, in his care."

Sayuri let the words sink in. Her ears were ringing with an inexplicable noise and all she could focus on was the fact that Ras Al Ghul had died and his grandson who she had spared when she had broken out of the base years ago was actually a Wayne by blood.

A couple minutes passed in silence after which she sighed in relief, "oh I see."

A burden seemed to have lifted off her; Damian wasn't there to hurt any of them.

"You heard how Dick met him, now here's my side of the story," Tim remarked.

Sayuri smiled as she turned her attention towards him, encouraging him to continue.

"I woke up early in the morning just like I do usually. I came down for breakfast and there's this kid I've never seen before sitting on the breakfast table already and drinking coffee in my mug." He put emphasis on the last two words at which both Richard and Sayuri smiled knowingly; they knew Tim was quite sensitive about his coffee mug.

"When I politely told him that he had taken my mug and that I wanted it back, he went off exclaiming how he was the rightful heir to the Wayne manor as well as everything in it. I told you once and I'll say that again; he's a demonic brat."

"Too bad Timmy, you can't call a family member demonic," Richard remarked though he was quite on the verge of laughing himself.

Tim rolled his eyes, "I really wish this month gets over soon Sayuri so that I can shift in your apartment. I can't wait to never have to see Damian again."

"You'll still see him, kiddo, on family dinners, sleepovers and such."

"It's alright, Tim, you'll be welcome any time you want," Sayuri told him, "though if the demon kid does anything to you, tell me straight away and I'll put him in his tracks."

"Hey, will you two stop calling him a demon kid?" Richard exclaimed, quite let down at that fact that the two weren't accepting Damian like he had done so.

"And will you stop defending him?" The Drake siblings spoke in unison after which the three of them burst into laughter. This time, Sayuri laughed as well, feeling much better than before.

Ras Al Ghul was dead. And that meant she didn't have to worry about the League of Assassins coming after her ever again. It was truly a great relief for her to be able to finally get rid of that dreadful feeling that Ras would somehow find her and kill all her loved ones. Now that he was dead, there wasn't any reason left for her to fear that.
