It was yet another normal day in Gotham with Richard and Jason playing video games at the Arcade. True, they had a much better set at home, courtesy of Wayne Corp, but every once in a while the two would head to the Arcade just to enjoy the actual atmosphere of a gaming zone.

"Aha, got you!" Jason exclaimed as he slammed down Richard's player in the last level.

"Not fair," Richard folded his hands, facing him with a slight frown on his face, "you cheated."

"I did not."

"I have played this a hundred times with Cyborg and still I always won," he reasoned.

Jason shrugged, "guess today's just not your day, mate."

"Every day is my lucky day, Todd," he mumbled.

"Speaking of lucky days... How did it go with Sayuri last night?"

Richard very nearly bumped into the exit door on their way out which made Jason burst out laughing once again at his expense.

"Alright, I guess. She's not taking Tim away from us," he replied soon as he recovered from the shock.

"Suppose you spill a few more details," Jason rose an eyebrow suggestively at him which only earned him a hard shove from Dick.

They had crossed over to the sidewalk and were walking back towards the Manor.

"What details? Like yeah I told her everything about us, promised her that we will protect Tim whatever it takes and assured her that none of us had pressurized him into joining. That's it. These are all the details that you're getting out of me."

Jason looked at him suspiciously, "oh, does that imply that you're purposefully ommitting something?"

"Definitely not," Richard mumbled, feeling quite uneasy under his suspicious gaze.

"Alright then, let me guess," he resumed with an amused spark dancing in his eyes, "you have a crush on her, don't you?"

Richard was startled at the accuracy of the statement but attempted to hide it, "shut up."

"Ah, that's all the confirmation I needed," Jason winked at him, "don't get so flustered, Dick, it's normal to have a crush on such a gorgeous woman."

He turned to look at him, "what?"

"I mean you're not the only one who finds her attractive, y'know," he shrugged, "but rest assured I'm not going to come in between you and your crush, I rather enjoy having her as a friend. I think being friends with her is going to be much more fun than being in love with her. But of course, you wouldn't understand."

"Okay, but what exactly do you mean?"

"She would make the perfect partner in crime; she simply has that flair for daring adventures which I really admire," he remarked, "but I think she's not the girlfriend type, at least not for me. Imagine the troubles that would ensue if we ever got in a row; which happens a lot in couples. Frankly speaking, I don't want to have my shin ruptured and head bashed in like those gangsters she tackled back then. So obviously, she's all yours."

A light amused smile flickered on Richard's face, "good for you, then."

He playfully shoved him, "getting jealous already?"

"I don't know about that but you sure are getting knocked out if you don't shut up."

They were in the living room when they spotted Tim emerging from the study carrying a pile of books. Seeing him Jason enthusiastically waved, "hey Tim guess what, Dick here thinks that..."

However before he could blurt out everything to little Tim, Richard clamped his hand on his mouth forcing it shut, "you absolute idiot!"

Tim looked at them struggling against each other, Jason trying to speak while Richard preventing him to do so, with a confused look on his face. After a few seconds of staring at the almost wrestling duo in bewilderment, he shrugged nonchalantly and headed upstairs to his bedroom.

"What the hell do you think you were doing?" Richard released him, glaring at him intensely, "if you say a word of this to Tim, I swear, Todd, I'll make sure you burn in hell."

"You're not the devil, y'know, so that threat means nothing," Jason was almost laughing by now, "but you should have warned me earlier, mate. Fine, I won't say a word of this to him." Richard looked at him dubiously so he added as an afterthought, "I promise but I can't give you a full guarantee."

Barbara and Stephanie had planned a sleepover night and invited Sayuri to join them as well. The boys weren't aware of it since both had made sure that the sleepover would exclusively be a girl's night.

In order to make it convenient for Sayuri, they had discussed the time with her beforehand and called her on a Saturday night so that she wouldn't have to worry about going to work the next day.

When Sayuri arrived at the Manor, the trio which included of Richard, Jason and Tim had been sent out purposefully by Barbara who had urged them to go to an amusement park and enjoy.

Jason had readily agreed because the roller coasters were his favorite rides. Richard as usual had been quite enthusiastic about the whole prospect of brotherly bonding time while Tim simply had to tag along because the others had left him no choice.

"You're here finally," Stephanie hugged her soon as she saw her, "we have such a lot planned for tonight."

"You do know how to drive, right?" Barbara asked.

"I know how to drive too, y'know, but Barbs won't let me do so since I don't technically have a license. And that leaves you to be the probable choice."

Sayuri shrugged, a little uncertain of why they were asking, "yeah but..."

"Good, we're taking Richard's car," Steph remarked, hurrying to the garage with the key.

"Hey, does he even know about that? I don't know about Grayson but some guys are very possessive about their cars."

Barbara laughed, "yeah you're right. Out of us, Bruce and Jay are the possessive ones."

"Jay claims his bike to be his one true love," Steph quipped which sent an amused smile on Sayuri's face.

Barbara added, "but Richard's fine, I guess. We've borrowed his car without letting him know multiple times now. I'd say he's gotten used to it."

The girls had planned to go on a shopping spree first after which they were going to drop by at the cinema for a movie and then finally retire to the Manor to sleep.

It had been a long while since Sayuri had actually enjoyed herself or spent time with friends so she didn't find the whole idea bad at all and delightfully agreed to whatever the two had planned.

They had a great time together at the mall as well as the cinema. The movie they were watching was a romantic one which made Steph rather emotional, Barbara had been the neutral one while Sayuri was plain annoyed by the cringe worthy cliche moments.

She made the girls laugh a lot by pointing out all the bad parts of the movie and offering a hilarious commentary later on.

They reached back a little before midnight and all of them were quite worn out. Barbara knew the boys must have gone to bed by then for she had received a text from Richard stating that they had come back right after dinner and brought some for the girls as well but couldn't find them. To which she had replied that she and Steph were out on business but would accept the dinner gratefully nevertheless.

So firstly, the three girls headed to the kitchen to reheat whatever dinner the brothers had brought and then took their feast to Barbara's room which was the decided venue of the sleepover.

"This was the best night ever," Steph remarked as she collapsed on the couch, "you're real fun to have around, Sayuri."

"My pleasure," she nodded with a smile, "I enjoyed a lot too."

"I must say they've been rather considerate," Barbara spoke as she cut slices on to the pizza, "I wasn't expecting them to bring some for us as well."

"It must have been Tim's idea," Steph replied taking her piece, "he's the most caring one of the three."

Sayuri smiled a little at hearing that. Of course Tim was the most caring one. He had always been like that even when he had been a mere child. She could easily recall all those times when Tim had proved his caring side back when they both lived together years ago.

"Tell you what, thanks a lot," she looked up, "this is the best sleepover I've ever had."

Barbara smiled, "we should hang out more often. Right, Steph?"

"Absolutely," she agreed, "I mean at first I thought you would be like Tim, completely serious and nerdy. But you turned out to be quite different and I really enjoy having you as a friend."

Barbara shook her head still smiling, "Steph is always the most expressive one. You'll never hear the end of it."

Sayuri laughed, "it's a good thing. I really like that."

To be honest, Sayuri liked all of them. She wasn't as expressive as Stephanie but with time she had learnt that the Waynes had found a special place in her heart. She could deem them as her friends, a title which she hadn't given to anyone in so long. But now that she was in the company of these people who brightened up her usually dull life, she couldn't help but feel grateful for their presence.
