I was standing near a hotel entrance where my target was supposed to be. I saw my target an hid in the darkness, embracing it in my heart.

The only thing that was still visible was the weak reflection of the knife. I wait for him to pass by, preparing for the kill. He was on his phone and from what he said I could tell that it was his wife.

I wondered if he had kids and a good life. I thought about the expression on his wifes face when she hears the news. I imagined his kids, growing up without a father, with pure hatred,with guilt and sorrow in their hearts. They might even crave vengeance and seek danger.

I stared at his back and I could already see the blood stains on his jacket. Blood dripping down his fingertips and his open eyes, blankly staring in the sky. That shocked expression on his face, every feature of his face filled with sorrow and fear.

I step out of the darkness and follow him down his path. I analized my surroundings. He will be in Alleyway 17 in 5 seconds.

My grip around the knife tightens and I turn to the alley. It was a small path with no one there exept him and me. It was really dark too. Perfect spot for assassination, I guess.

I smile and start walking towards him.

Ken Magney (target) p.o.v

I was walking down my usual path when I heard loud footsteps fastly approaching. I turn around to see an innocent little girl running towards me.

"Please wait mister, I need your help with something reeeaaaaly important", she yelled out. I stopped walking and waited for her. "What is it?" "I'm lost could you tell me how to get to Kunugigaoka high school." "Sure, you just have to walk straight ahead and turn left at the end of the alley. Turn right twice after that and younshould be able to see the building."

"Thanks mister!", she thankfully said and started walking past me. "You're welcome!" I smiled and was about to start walking again when I saw her stop. She walked towards me again and said:"Oh my, I almost forgot." She stopped in front of me.

I was about to ask her about it but I was cut off by an unimaginable pain in my stomach area. I looked down to see a knife. She twisted it and blood spattered on her face... my blood. I looked at her trying to figure out who she was. She slowly pulled out the knife making me almost scream out.

Then I felt the knife at my neck. "By the way, mr. Magney, you forgot to mention that I have to turn left again after turning right twice. Goodbye.." she slashed the knife, cutting open my throat.

The last thing I saw before everything went black was her, wiping my blood from her face and waving goodbye.

Well damnit! I didn't want to get his blood on my face. I should have gone for the neck at the beginning but I couldn't help myself.

I walked home, hiding the knife in my jacket. I changed into something more comfortable and wrote an email. "Mission accomplished." I also sent information on how the assassination went.

I got on my bed and turned on the tv. "I wonder why they wanted him dead? They even gave special orders to use a knife.. not like it's my business or anything." After watching tv for some time I turned it off and went to bed.
