Epilogue

Not everything went back to normal after the war. It was extremely rare for Zoras to actually participate, but it was even more unheard of that Skull Kids came out of the forest.

Hyrule eventually recovered, but the scars will always remain as a symbol of our courage and strength, and our martyrdom.

30 Sheikah were counted for as being dead, and 183 were injured; in a village of 327.

All the remaining Skull Kids disappeared into the forest, but almost all of them were dead anyways. I think I heard that none of the Zoras died, but there were some critical cases.

All that's left is the other two girls.

Hope was actually taken back to the Zora's Domain, where they buried her. They buried her in the same casket as Ralis, with both of them still holding hands. Sheik and I attended the funeral, and they both looked lively despite the fact that their souls had retreated. I gave them each one last kiss, and then they were buried.

Apparently, the Zoras thought of her as a war hero. She told them about the attack a week before it happened, but the date was removed to the next day. The Zoras joined her in the attack against Ganondorf, and she was given great respect. All of the Zoras mourned for their prince and would-be princess war hero, and they were buried in a great shrine.

I've heard that people come and pray for them every day, in their beautiful water spring shrine.

A separate graveyard was built for the Sheikahns, one for all the people that died in this revolution. All thirty people were buried, along with one extra.

Sheik and I took Luck, and buried her in the Sheikahn graveyard. I made sure to arrive at the mass funeral for them all, and kissed Luck goodbye. When she was buried, I made sure of one thing.

Her tombstone reads, "Good Luck."

The most tragic death in the whole village was Rhia's parents. They were both killed, trying to protect her.

Of course, Rhia was distraught, but her parents told her not to be said, so she wasn't. At the age of four or five, I don't think she understands the concept of death, but she knows they're gone.

So, Sheik and I took in Rhia. We're one broken, mismatched family, with a Sheikah, and orphan, and yours truly, but we all love each other.

Sheik and I made renovations to his house as well. We expanded, so now there's three beds, and more living space overall.

Rhia seems to be happy with her new parents, and her doll. I love to braid her long, thick, chestnut hair, and her chocolate eyes sparkle when she's excited.

Sheik and I... Well, we decided to stay together. There was nowhere else for me to go, so I figured to stay here.

The elders and the village did forgive me, after I told them my side of the story. I did have quite a bit to repent for, though... heh.

Sheik and I sit in the forest, next to the river like our picnic before. Rhia is busy spending time in her new room that we built.

"So... Where were we before?" Sheik asks, his hand holding mine as we lay on the blanket spread across the grass.

"Hm... I don't know, where were we?" I give him a joking smile.

"Well, I think I was saying something about love..." He trails off, and I laugh. "Oh, right, I never even told you."

"Told me what?" I turn onto my side to face him, and his crimson eyes flash, making my cheeks heat up.

"I never told you, that I love you, Karma," he says.

"I love you too," I giggle, and he kisses my forehead, wrapping his arms around my waist to pull me closer to him.

"I'm happy you came here. All my life, I've been doing good things. Finally, I was rewarded," he says.

"With what?" I laugh.

"You." He pecks my forehead. "Hey, Karma," he says into my hair. "Are you going to stay here? You never really answered last time."

"Well..." I say, pretending to be unsure, and he leans back, baffled. I laugh at his expression, thinking that I would leave.

"I'm kidding. I have to stay."

"Why?" He asks, and pulls me closer to him.

"Because your karma still needs to catch up with you."
