Aftermath

(This is based off of the Las Nevadas Season Finale! You should probably go watch that before reading this ^-^)

"This is bullshit– fUck him!" Quackity boomed, marching his way out of Kinoko angrily. SapNap had orange tears that glistened in his eyes, hurrying after his fiancé. "Quackity, please," SapNap begged. This wasn't how he imagined Quackity's visit would end. "No– I'm sorry SapNap, but no," Quackity replied, turning to face the fear-faced male. "I appreciate it SapNap, I do. I appreciate you trying to help, but it's not going to work," Quackity continued, tears beginning to stream down his face. He was crying due to his anger, as well as the pain that ached in his chest. It was like he could hear Karl's shrieks ringing in his ears. Murderer.
"You're welcome back to Las Nevadas, but I don't want Karl anywhere near me. Goodbye," he finished, saying it much harsher than he intended. He turned on his heel, beginning to walk away from the crying SapNap. SapNap bit his lip, clenching his fists as he stand there. He watched Quackity, his mind shouting at him to call Quackity.  "Quackity!" He called, giving in to his desire to tell Quackity what needed to be said. Luckily, it sounded urgent enough for Quackity to stop and look over his shoulder at SapNap. The half-demon bit his lip as he locked eyes with Quackity one last time, before finally speaking.
"I love you," he said softly, buy loud enough for Quackity to hear. "I love you so much...okay?" He continued, his glowing tears finally rolling down his tanned face. Quackity felt a jolt in his chest, almost making him forget about the pain that lingered. Alas, he was met with the pain again. But it didn't hurt as much as before. He could feel his lips curl into the tiniest smile he could manage, slowly blinking at the male he loved dearly. "I love you too," he said in a raspy, quiet voice. He then continued to walk away.

It had been a couple of weeks since Quackity's argument with Karl. The whole time, he had been cooped up in his library. Books were stacked next to the couch he sit in, one being in his lap. His eyes scanned over the words, biting his lip harshly as he impatiently tapped his fingers on the armrest. He was so deep into the information about slimes, he hadn't noticed the footsteps growing near.
"Quackity?" A voice called from the hall, causing the male to jump and look up quickly. The voice belonged to none other than SapNap, who had walked into the room that Quackity sat in. Quackity blinked a few times, quickly sitting up and shutting the book he was reading. "SapNap– hey," he breathed, setting his book down on the stack. His eyes locked with SapNap's, heart nearly skipping a beat as he watched him smile sweetly. "Hey. I'm not interrupting anything, am I?" SapNap asked, eyes scanning over the room for a moment. "No, no. Not at all," Quackity quickly replied, eyes locking with SapNap's again. "Here. Sit," Quackity spoke before patting the spot on the couch next to him. SapNap nodded slightly before doing so, looking over at Quackity. Quackity fumbled with his hands slightly, biting his lip once more. "So...what brings you here?" He asked, looking up at the slightly taller male. SapNap felt himself tense slightly, unsure of how to answer without mentioning Karl. "I..wanted to check on you," he admitted, locking his eyes with Quackity again. "That and I really missed you." Quackity simply nodded, the last sentence making him smile. "I missed you, too," he replied.
Silence filled the room after that, the two just staring into each other's eyes. SapNap grinned, raising a hand to cup Quackity's cheek. Quackity flinched slightly, unsure of what SapNap was trying to do. He watched as SapNap's hand drew back slightly before he finally cupped Quackity's cheek. Quackity blinked a few times, having forgotten what it was like to have this form of affection. He felt his face heat up slightly, heart beginning to thump against his chest as SapNap rubbed his thum gently against Quackity's cheek. "You're still so beautiful," he spoke, pulling his hand away. Quackity quickly grabbed SapNap's wrist, however, pressing it back against his face. SapNap blinked, soon giggling slightly as Quackity nuzzled into SapNap's touch. Quackity hesitated before pulling SapNap's hand away, clearing his throat. "Sorry," he said quietly, awkwardly looking away.
"It's okay," SapNap assured, rubbing the back of his neck. It went quiet again, say for their breathing and slight shifting on the couch. Quackity sighed, shaking his head slightly. "I'm sorry, I know this is awkward," he spoke, glancing at the ground before him.
"It's not awkward," SapNap replied, hesitantly resting his hand on top of Quackity's. Quackity looked up at SapNap, seeing the comforting smile on his face. They stared at each other for a moment, before SapNap broke the silence. "Can I kiss you?"
Quackity froze for a second, blushing at the question. It was unexpected, catching him off guard. "U–Uhm– yeah sure," he replied, sitting up a bit. SapNap couldn't help but smile, gently cupping Quackity's face. "You still get flustered so easily," he hummed, leaning in slowly. As he did so, Quackity's heart was practically pounding against his cchest. Why am I so nervous? He thought to himself. I've kissed so many times before. It doesn't make sense.
Quackity's eyes fluttered shut just as SapNap pressed his lips against his. Lifting his hands, he rested them against SapNap's chest. The kiss was gentle and short, SapNap pressing his forehead against Quackity's. Their noses touched, SapNap opening his eyes. "Holy SHIT, your face is red," he laughed, Quackity's eyes opening at his sentence. It was true, for Quackity's face was practically a tomato at this point. He grumbled, muttering a "shut up" as he pulled SapNap's headband over his eyes. SapNap giggled, pulling it back up as Quackity softly smiled.
