"No peeking," SapNap demanded, his hands covering Karl's eyes as he led him inside their shared apartment. Karl giggled, replied with "I won't". He had a large grin on his face, excited to see what SapNap had in store. He could smell the scent of meat, so he assumed that SapNap had cooked dinner for the night. "Okayyyy....ready?" SapNap asked as he kicked the front door closed, hands still covering Karl's eyes.
          "I've been ready," Karl said, his grin growing. After a moment, SapNap pulled his hands away. Eyes fluttering open, a gasp left Karl's mouth.
          There were rose petals leading to their dinning room table, which had a white table cloth on it. On top rested a vase in the center, holding big red roses. In front of the seats on the table were plates of dinner. Steak and mashed potatoes with gravy. The lights were dimmed down, two candle sitting on opposite sides of the vase.
          "I know it's not much," SapNap started. "But there's only so much you can do for Valentine's during a quarant–"
          He was cut off by Karl turning around, wrapping his arms tightly around him. "I love it," he said as he locked eyes with SapNap. They were slightly teary, a big smile being on his face. SapNap smiled back as he hugged him, kissing the top of his head.
          The two sat down, Karl still having a look of shock as he looked down at his plate. "You didn't have to do this, really," he said, looking back up at SapNap. "Of course I did," he replied, smiling sweetly.
          "Well..now I kinda feel bad. I haven't been able to find any presents, and you made a fancy dinner for me," Karl said, frowning. It ate at him that he couldn't at least get flowers for SapNap. But all of the flower shops were either closed because of Covid, or the very few that were open had sold out. "Hey, my gift is being able to spend tonight with you," SapNap responded, reaching out and grabbing his fiance's hand. "The gifts you get me are great, but at least I get to still spend every day and night with you. That's the best gift ever."
          Karl teared up again, intertwining their fingers as he smiled softly. "I love you," he spoke softly, placing a kiss on SapNap's hand. SapNap blushed faintly, smiling as he replied with "I love you too, babes."
          They sat and ate dinner, talking about their days and laughing together. They both wore happy smiles on their faces, loving every bit of being able to have a nice dinner and talk. Even after they ate, they sat there at the table and continued to talk, holding each other's hands as they did.
