It was almost midnight when Sameer and Naina reached their respective home.

Naina was lying down on her bed, thinking about today.
She slowly touched her lips and blushed slightly.
"Aacha hai, Sameer ne nahi dekha... Kya sochta mere baarein mein?"

She then thought about Sameer and his words...how he praised her? She felt so special and beautiful.

Furrowing her eyebrows, she suddenly thought,
"Ab kal se... School. Aur school mein wo chipkali. Ye 2-3 din kitne aache se beete... Sameer ke sath.

On the otherhand, Sameer was trying to sleep but sleep was far away from his eyes. He was suddenly so excited to see Naina, to meet her... to talk to her.

"Kya main kal Naina ko bata du? Main usse... Pyaar karta hu."
He excitedly thought. But suddenly, he got tensed,
"Tu bhi Sameer, pagal hai. Pehle yeh to jaan le ki Naina, tere baarein mein kya sochti hai?"

Sameer closes his eyes, and immediately he saw Naina' smiling face.
And automatically, his lips curved upwards.

Opening his eyes, he ruffled his hair.
"Ab to aankhein band karne pr bhi tum hi dikhti ho... Bss Naina se ek baar, ek ishara hi mil jaaye ki tumhare liye main ek dost se kahin jyada hu. "

Sameer slept peacefully thinking ways to know about Naina' s feelings about him.

Next day, Naina does her daily routine chores, side by side bearing  Taiji's tantrums.

Finally, she was done with serving breakfast to everyone. Naina was glancing at the door waiting for her father and brother.

Pralay came out, to have breakfast. Taiji and Tauji to settled down for breakfast, waiting for Naina to start serving.
But she didn't notice... her eyes were at the door.

Taiji got angry and said, "O Maharani, nashta milega ya nahi... Ya wahi darwaze par aankhein gada kar khadi rahegi."

"Ji Taiji... Wo bss Papa aur Arjun bhaiya ko raah dekh rahi thi."
Naina said and started serving everyone.

Just then, Taijk murmured,"Kaha jayenge... Muft mein khana khane aayenge hi."

But, Naina heard her... Pursing her lips, she goes back to her room.

Taking a deep breath, she tried to ignore... Taiji's taunting words.
Just then, she heard her father's voice.

Naina smiled and went outside, she was more excited to meet Arjun... very well knowing that her father, will not be happy seeing her.

She took her bag and went outside. But, didn't saw Arjun at the table.
Rakesh glared at her and said, "Ab koi yaha nashta bhi parosega."

Naina hurriedly served breakfast to him and then asked nervously,
"Papa, woh... Arjun bhaiya, nahi aaye."

Rakesh didn't answered, Naina called him,
"Papa-"

"Arre, insaan shanti se nashta bhi nahi kar sakta. Aur kya karna hai... Tumhe jankar? Main bata deta hu Naina... Arjun se thoda durr hi raho. Ab uske 2 mahine mein cricket  ka selection test aane wala hai... kahin tumhare aas pass hone se... uski bhi kismat kaali na ho jaaye."
Rakesh angrily said and went away, leaving untouched breakfast plate.

Naina controlled her tears from spilling, and without saying anything she left for school.

"Sahi toh keh rahe the, papa. Arjun bhaiya ke liye ye samay kitna important hai... aur yeh selection agar hogya toh Papa aur  bhaiya dono kitne khush ho jayenge. Aur shayad uss khushi mein woh mujhe bhi apna hi le... par tab tak ke liye Arjun bhaiya se dur rehna hi theek hai... Papa ki baat bhi sahi hai."
Naina thought and tried to console herself.

Suddenly, she saw Preeti going on her bicycle.
And once again, Naina hidden wish of having  bicycle, woke up.

"Aaj pakka koi unlucky day hai... Subah se kuch na kuch aisa ho raha hai jiski wajah se mera mood kharab hota ja raha hai."

Suppressing her desire, and trying to lift her mood. She started thinking about Sameer and just like that, she was smiling widely.

"Ek Sameer hi hai... jiske baarein mein sochkar hi mere chehre par smile aa jaati hai."

Naina reached the school, and hurriedly goes to her classroom.

She excitedly entered the room, to see Sameer. But, like today was really an unlucky day for her.
She saw Sameer and Sunaina sitting together... happily talking to each other.

"Ye toh hona hi tha... Sunaina, Sameer ka peecha thodi na choregi."
Naina thought, sitting down at her seat.
Just then bell rang, Sunaina goes back to her seat.
Sameer, noticed Naina. Pursing his lips, he thought,
"Sunaina ko bhi abhi baat karni thi... Naina se baat karna reh gaya. Chalo lunch time mein aaram se baat karunga."

Just then, class teacher entered and she started teaching the subject.
But Sameer was unable to concentrate, his full concentration was on Naina, he kept staring at her lovingly.

During lunch time, Munna, Pandit, Preeti, Swati, Sunaina... all were going to canteen.

Sameer was still sitting at his seat.

"Kya hua hai? Tu canteen jaane se mana kar raha hai."
Munna said, looking at him weirdly.

Sameer smiled and said, "Nahi, mana nahi kar raha hu. Bss tum jao, main aata hu."

"Sath chalne mein kya hai? Chalo Sameer."
Preeti said and everyone tried to persuade him.

Sameer said a little loudly , "Yaar tum sab jao... Main bss aata hu."

Everyone sighed and goes to canteen.

Sameer smiled and saw Naina, quietly reading a book. He furrowed his eyebrows and slowly goes towards her.

Sitting besides her, he said, "Yeh kya? Lunch time mein bhi padhai."

Naina didn't talked to him, she was still upset after seeing him with Sunaina.

Getting no reply from her, Sameer took the book from her and said,
"Padhai baad mein kar lena... abhi jaldi se luch nikalo... mujhe bhut tezz bhukh lagi hai."

"Toh apne doston ke sath jakar, canteen mein lunch kar aao. Yaha mujhe pareshan kyu kar rahe ho?"
Naina pouted angrily.

Sameer smiled and  murmured, "Haa, magar waha tum nahi hogi na."

"Huh? Kuch kha tumne?"

"Nahi toh... Aree tum jaldi karo na, bhukh lagi hai mujhe."

"Sorry Sameer... Par aaj main lunch nahi laayi."

"Kya? Par kyu? Tumhara koi upwas wagerah hai kya?"

Naina pursed her lips. Taiji's  taunting words, and her father's scolding, she forgot her lunch.

"Kya hua, Naina?", Sameer asked worriedly.

Naina smiled a little and said,
"Kuch nahi... Woh lunch aaj jaldi-jaldi mein lana bhul gayi."

"Padhai karna toh nahi bhulti... Naina, tum bhi na. Apna khayal rakhna chahiye na... nashta bhi nahi kiya hoga. Haina?"

"Nahi... Aisi baat nahi hai. Nashta-"
She was going to say but suddenly her stomach growled.

Naina closes her eyes in embarrassment  , scolding herself. Why every embarrassing thing happens in front of him?

Sameer again said, "Nashta nahi kiya hai... Haina."

He immediately stood up and said, "chalo abhi canteen chalkar kuch kha lo."

"Nahi Sameer... Canteen nahi."
Naina denied.

"Kyu? Kya hua?", He asked.

Lowering her head, she thought about her financial condition,
"Kaise batau Sameer ko... main aisi hi paise nahi kharch kar sakti. Bhut muskkil se thode paise bachaye hai... kuch zaruri saman lene ke liye rakhe hai. Taiji, Tauji, Papa kabhi puchte hi nahi... Naina, tumhe kisi cheez ki zarurat toh nahi. Ek Arjun  bhaiya hai jo, kabhi - kabhi kuch paise de dete hai. Ab unn paison ko main aisi hi kharch nahi kar sakti."

Sameer was looking at her worriedly. He slowly asked,
"Naina, tum theek ho na? Kuch baat hai toh batao?"

"Woh Sameer... Wo main aise hi paise kharch nahi karti. Aur waise bhi main ghar jaakar kahna kha lungi."

Naina said, taking her book and again start reading it.

He looking at her in disbelief. Again, taking her book, he said,
"Naina, tum mujhe apna dost nahi maanti ho. "

"Haa maanti hu... par iska matlab yeh to nahi ki tum-"

Sameer pouted and angrily said, "Accha ab main tumhe Samosa bhi nahi khila sakta... Theek hai, phir toh mujhe tumhara udhar bhi lautana hoga."

"Kaunsa udhar?"

"Kyu, jab se hamari dosti hui hai? Tab se roz tumhare tiffin se khana khata hu... Ab tum ko unn sab tifin ke paise dene padenege ."

Naina passed a small smile and said, "Sameer, tum pagal ho. Mujhe tumhare sath lunch karna pasand  hai... Aacha lagta hai tumhare sath share karke khaana khane mein. Aur dost toh lunch share karte hai."

Sameer sighed and said, "Wahi keh raha hu... Ab chup - chap tum mere sath chalo. Ab jyada zid mat karo na, Naina. Mere pet mein chuhe bhi tumse ladne lag jayenge... Ab jaldi karo. "

Naina laughed and finally agreed. Sameer smiled, looking at her. They both then went to the canteen.

At the Canteen.

Preeti slightly nudged Sunaina and said,
"Aaj kitne dino baad, Sameer wapis aaya hai. Sunaina ka chehra dekho kaise khil gya hai."

"Haa, Sameer ke sath subah baatein bhi ho rahi thi. Kya baat kar rahe the... tum dono?"
Swati asked.

Sunaina slightly blushed and said, "Kuch bhi nahi yaar... bss aise hi."

"Sunaina waise jab bhi tumhe aur Sameer ko sath dekhte hai toh aisa lagta hai... dono ek dusre ke liye hi bane ho."
Swati said dreamingly.

"Jaise hum dono ek dusre ke liye bane hai, Swati."
Munna said with a smirk. Swati blushed at his words.
Everyone laughed looking at them. Sunaina sighed and thought,
"O god, kaha phas gayi? Sameer kaha reh gya? Pata nahi woh inn sabke sath kaise dosti rakh sakta hai."

Just then, Sameer came to them with Naina.

Everyone looked at each other, seeing Naina with Sameer.

"Kya hua? Tum sab aise kyu dekh rahe ho? Ab tum sab jaise mere dost ho... waise Naina bhi hai. Isliye main Naina ko apne sath le aaya."

He sat down and asked Naina to sit with him. She smiled nervously and settled down.

Looking at Munna and Pandit, Sameer asked,
"Chalo sab ke liye... Samosa lekar aate hai."

Boys went from their. Preeti, Swati, Sunaina and Naina... all were sitting silently.

Sunaina breaks the silence and said,
"Aaj subah Sameer aur main, wo party jo cancel nahi ho gayi thi. Maine tum sabko ghar bulaya tha... Par Sameer nahi aa paya tha. Maine iss Sunday ko socha hai, ki phir se... Waise hi party rakhu."

"Haa last time bhut maza aaya tha.", Preeti said happily.

Swati too agreed and said, "Haa, bss woh Deepika ke sath jo hua."

Hearing Deepika's name, Naina abruptly asked,
"Deepika, kya hua use ? "

Sunaina rolled her eyes, and said,
"Dekho, Naina... tum beshaq Sameer ki dost ban gayi ho... Pata nahi kaise usne tumhe apna dost bana liya par yeh mat sochna ki hum tumhe apna dost bana lenge. Toh humse aur hamari baaton se durr raho."

Swati and Preeti too nodded. Naina looked away.

Just then, the boys came back and passed on the Samosa plate to everyone.

Sameer sat down, giving Samosa to Naina. She just passed a small smile and started having it quietly.

Everyone got engaged in their conversation. Naina felt lonely, she looked at Sameer and then at his other friends.

"Sahi toh keh rahi thi Sunaina... Sameer se dosti kar li iska matlab yeh toh nahi ki uske baaki dost bhi, mere dost ban jaayenge."

She ate quietly, Sameer glanced at her.
He thought,
"Naina, aaj kuch jyada hi chup-chup hai."

He then observed that everyone including him was indulged in a conversation. He felt guilty.

"Maine hi Naina ko sab ke sab ke sath lunch karne ke liye lekar aaya... aur main hi usko aise akela feel kara raha hu. "

Looking at her, Sameer smiled affectionately.

" Kya hua, Samosa accha nahi lag raha... ya yaha sab ke sath accha nahi lag rha?
He whispered.

Without thinking, looking at her Samosa, Naina answered,
"Yaha sabke sath-"

She stopped and immediately looked at Sameer.

Raising his eyebrows, he said, "ohh, toh aapko hamara sath aacha nahi lag raha."

"Nahi tumhara nahi... Wo"

Naina again stopped and closes her eyes.
"Kya Naina? Chup nahi reh sakti. Ek toh Sameer tujhe aapne doston ke sath dosti karwana chahta hai. Aur tu... Sameer kya soch raha hoga?"

Sameer slightly nudged her, "Tumhari yahi toh problem hai? "

"Sorry Sameer... Main wapis class mein chali  jaati hu."
Naina stood up from her place and went away.

Everyone got shocked including Sameer, who too stood up, taking her and his Samosa plate in his hand.

"Sameer, kya hua?", Sunaina asked.

"Woh main aur Naina, itne dino se school nahi aaye the na... toh bss usi ke baarein mein hai. Main... Main abhi aata hu."
He said and before anyone can ask anything, he goes away.

Reaching at the classroom, he saw Naina, wiping her tears.

Sameer hurriedly goes towards her and asked,
"Naina, tum ro kyu rahi ho? Kya hua? Naina?"

She sniffed and looked at him. Her tear stricken face hit him hard. Without thinking anything, he touched her face and gently wiped her tears.

Naina gasped softly, feeling his touch on her face.
Sameer backed away immediately, saying "sorry".

They both stood,in front of each other, nervously.

"Ab please batao, tum ro kyu rahi thi?"

She sniffed and looked at him with complaining eyes. Sameer smiled looking at her cute red face.

He passed on his handkerchief to Naina. She smiled slightly, taking his handkerchief.

Naina wiped her tears and said, "Woh maine tumhare doston ke baarein mein kha... aur tumne bhi kha ki meri problem-"

"Toh isme rone wali kya baat hai? Main toh keh raha tha ki tumhari yahi problem hai ki tum jyada sochti ho... Arre agar accha nahi lag raha  tha toh bata deti... koi zabardasti thodi hai. Zaruri thodi na hai ki tumhe mere harr dost se dosti karni hai."
He said softy.

She pouted, but didn't said anything. Sameer stared at her lovingly, he so wanted to hug her. But knowing the limits of their friendship, he controlled his feelings.

Naina saw him smiling and angrily said, "Tum hass kyu rahe ho? Maine koi joke maara? Tumne hi kha yeh meri problem hai... Ab main kya karu... Mujhe waha sabke sath bhi akela feel ho raha tha."

"Aur mere sath abhi?"

Sameer 's question caught her off-guard.

"Abhi?", she asked cautiously.

He hummed in response and gets a little closer. Naina nervously stepped back a little.

"Ha, mere sath kaisa feel hota hai?"
Sameer smirked and  again asked.

She looked at him and shyly said, "Tumhare sath... Tumhare sath bhut aacha lagta hai. Aisa lagta hai ki mujhe tumhare alawa aur kisi dost ki zarurat hi nahi."

He pursed his lips and murmured, "Dost."

Raising her eyes, she asked."Kya hua? Kuch galat kaha maine?"

Sameer shook his head, and said,
"Ab chalo sath mein samosa khatam kare... Bhook lagi hai."

He sat down at her seat. Naina looked at him lovingly and thought,
"Tumhare sath aisa lagta hai, jaise mujhe saara jahan mil gaya. Aur kisi ke zarurat mehsus hi nahi hoti hai, Sameer. Pata nahi main tumhare liye, ek dost se badhkar kuch ban paungi ya nahi. Par tum mere liye kya ho, yeh toh mere dil se pucho. Tum aas pass nahi hote to yeh bechain ho jata hai... Kisi aur ladki ke sath dekh , dil udas ho jaata hai... Tumhare sath hoti hu toh bhut khush ho jaata hai... Aur tumhare kareeb aane se, itni tez dhadkne lag jaata hai."

Sameer whined, "Naina, aao na... bhook lagi hai."

"Mera bhukkad."
Naina murmured to herself and  sat with him.

Gathering some courage, he slowly picked her samosa in his hand and offered to her. She looked at him, raising her eyebrows.

Sameer just smiled. Naina blushed and slowly took a bite.
She, then too picked his samosa and fed him with her hand. He happily ate, both smiled looking at each other.
They happily enjoyed their lunch and their togetherness.

But unknown to them, someone was burning from inside, watching their cute moment. Sunaina wipes her angry tears, seeing them together.
