"Woh... woh main. "
Naina stuttered in fear... fear of being caught.

She turned slowly and sighed in relief seeing Pralay standing their.
"Pralay... tum."

She was coming closer to Pralay but he showed her, his hand to stop her from coming closer.

"Pehle aap bataiye... aap kis se baat kar rahi thi?"
He asked seriously.

Naina pursed her lips and nervously plays with her dupatta.
"Pralay woh main... woh main...apni ek friend ko phone kar rahi thi. Woh main aaj school nahi gayi... kal bhi nahi ja paungi toh bss kya kam hua... ya hoga woh sab bata de."

Pralay pouted and said, "Aap mujhse bhi jhuth bologe, Naina didi. Mujhe laga main aapka best bhai... aur best friend bhi hu. "

Naina came closer and goes down to his level.
"Woh toh aap ho hi. Magar aapko kyu lagta hai ki aapki Naina didi jhuth bol rahi hai?"

"Aap jab jhuth bolte ho toh apne dupatte se khelti ho...aur main yeh bhi jaanta hu school mein aapka koi aisa friend nahi hai jiska number aapke pass ho... aur aisa konsi friend hai jiske baarein mein aapne mujhe kabhi nahi bataya. "
Pralay said cutely.

She smiled and said, "Woh... meri friend abhi bani hai."

"Meri new friend...ya mera new friend."
He teased her.

Naina stood up and  looked at him shockingly. Pralay giggled seeing his sister like this.
He signalled her to come down. She again came down to his level.

"Naina didi, maine filmo mein dekha hai...hero aur heroine kaise phone par chupke-chupke baat karte hai. Aaj aap dono bhi bilkul waise hi baat kar rahe the."
He said innocently.

Naina again stood up and shyly looked here and there.
"Pralay, Tai ji ko bolna padega... ki... ki tumhe aisi filme na dikhaya kare...pata nahi...pata nahi kya, kya sochte rehte ho? Chalo sone chale."

She started walking back to the room but Pralay stood in front of her, blocking her way.
"Kamre mein nahi...chalo na didi chatt par sote hai."

"Chatt par nahi. Gaon mein raat ko thand badh jayegi...tumhe zukam hogaya toh Tai ji mere kaan pakad lengi."
Naina denied.

"Please, Naina didi. Chaliye na, aaj main aapke sath sounga...aap mujhe story suna na...please...please."
He said pleadingly.

She sighed, unable to say 'No' to his cute pleading.
"Aacha tum jao... main kambal lekar aati hu."

Pralay nodded excitedly and goes away. Naina goes inside the room and saw Tai ji sleeping... snoring loudly.

She slowly goes towards her and thought,
"Naina sambhal kar...aaram se puchna...nahi toh, yeh raat teri zindagi ki aakhri raat ho jayegi."

Taking a deep breath, she tried to woke Tai ji, "Tai ji! Tai ji!"

Tai ji snores loudly, making Naina scared.

She again tried and this time Tai ji woke up a little.
"Kya hai, Naina? Raat ko bhi chain nahi hai."

"Woh Pralay ko yaha machar kat rahe the...chatt par sona hai use... waha hawa aachi chal rahi hai. Aap chinta mat kijiye main uske sath chatt par hi hu...bss aapko batane aayi thi. Shubh ratri."
She said in a go and went outside.

Tai ji got confused, "Kya? Pralay? Machar?"
She didn't get what Naina said? But shrugged and again lied down.

Naina came to the terrace with a blanket. She saw Pralay already lying down on the mat.

She goes towards him and lies down with him, covering them with the blanket.

Pralay giggled excitedly. Naina playfully glared at him.
"Chup karke so jao. Gaon mein sab subah jaldi uth jaate hai."

He again giggled, "Fir toh mummy ko bohat pareshani hogi."

Naina laughed softly. He again said, "Pata hai Naina didi, maine yaha upar chatt par sone ki zidd kyu ki?"

She smiled and asked, "kahani sunn ne ke liye."

"Ha woh toh hai, par ek aur karan hai...aapne toh neeche dekha hi hoga...mummy kitni teez kharate le rahi hai. Aaj toh woh kumbhkaran ko bhi competition de de."
Pralay said and laughed. Naina too joined him.

"Chup...aise nahi bolte. Aapki mummy hai...aur woh thoda thak gayi hai isliye thode teez kharate le rahi hai. Aise mazak nahi udate."
She said trying to control her laughter.

He nodded and smirked, "Aacha toh theek hai fir hum aapke uss new dost ki baat karte hai."

She blushed lightly and kept her hand on his head.
"Chup...so jao. Chalo koi baat nahi karni...aankh band aur soo jao."

He remover her hand and again asked, "Batao na...batao na, Naina didi. Kaun tha woh jisse aap baat kar rahi thi? "

She shushed him, "Arre dheere bolo...kisi ne sunn liya toh. Kya sochega? "

Pralay nodded obediently but still stared at her curiously. Naina rolled her eyes and decided to tell him a little.
"Accha theek hai. Batao kya jaan na hai?"

He beamed at her and asked, "Naam kya hai?"

She smirked and said, "Naam? Uska naam hai Salman Khan."

Pralay widened his eyes, "Aapke pass Salman khan ka number hai...aap unse baat kar rahi thi."

She shooked her head and said, " Arre nahi buddhu...asal ka Salman khan nahi magar woh dikhta bilkul Salman Khan jaisa hi hai."

"Magar asli naam toh batao."

"Next question."
She said and Pralay pouted but still asked his next question.
"Accha toh aap aur woh Salman khan kab dost bane? Kaise bane? Maine aapke uss dost ko dekha hai kya?"

Naina smiled recalling her and Sameer's moments.
"School mein hi dost bane, tumne nahi dekha hai use...kaise aur kab dost bane? Iska jawab toh main bhi sahi se nahi bata sakti...shayad uss din hum acche dost bane,  jiss din humne jana ki ek ladka aur ek ladki... ka rishta sirf bhai-behen ka nahi... ek aache dost ka bhi ho sakta hai...jo bhi ho woh mera ek bohat aacha aur khaas dost ban gaya hai. "

Pralay was looking at him with confusion... it was a little difficult for him to understand the deep meaning hidden in her words. But still he smiled widely.

"Naina didi, main bohat happy hu. Aapko pata hai mujhe aur Arjun bhaiya ko bilkul accha nahi lagta tha ki aapka school mein koi friend nahi hai. Ab main unko bhi bata dunga ki aapko ek new friend mil gaya hai."
He said happily.

Naina widened his eyes, "Arre nahi, Arjun bhaiya ko nahi batana hai."

"Kyu?"

She don't know how to tell him. But she can't take the risk of telling everything about Sameer to Arjun bhaiya. He probably would get angry.

"Woh... woh. Pralay tum bhi na...tumhi toh puchte the ki Arjun bhaiya aur tum mein se kaun hai mera best bhai, haina."

He nodded and said proudly, "Aur aap hamesha kehti ho...ki main hi hu best bhai."

She smiled, "Haa isliye yeh mere new friend ka secret aapko Arjun bhaiya se chupa kar rakhna hoga. Yeh special secret sirf hum dono ka hi hona chahiye...Arjun bhaiya ko bataoge toh yeh secret special nahi rahega."

Pralay nodded in understanding... he was happy that he knows a secret of his sister that Arjun bhaiya, his competitor didn't know.

She smiled and patted his head.
"Chalo so jao. Nahi toh subah jaldi uth nahi paoge."

Naina hummed a little lullaby. After an few minutes, she thought he was asleep and  lies down her head on the pillow.
Suddenly, Pralay peeked a little and said,
"Naina didi, aap uss Salman khan ko pasand karte hona."

She immediately opened her eyes and got up.
"Tum...tum."

He giggled and said, " Toh aap mujhe mere jeeja ji se kab milwa rahi ho."

Naina again widened his eyes, "Pralay, tum."

Pralay immediately hide his face under blanket to save himself from her scolding.

She took a deep breath to stop the butterflies party in her stomach.
Blushing furiously, she said, "Ab tumne kuch bola na toh...toh dekh lena fir. Main neeche chali jaungi...yaha akele sona fir. Waise bhi aisa kuch...kuch nahi hai."

Pralay giggled, "aap fir se jhuth bol rahi hai...aapka chehra dekha hai aapne. Naina didi, aap hi toh kehti thi jhuth bolne se naak lambi ho jaati hai."

Naina instantly checked her nose. He laughed seeing his sister checking her nose.
"Arjun bhaiya sahi kehte the... yeh plan hamesha kam karta hai agar jaan na ho ki aap jhuth bol rahe ho ya sach. Ab jaise aapne naak check ki... ki kahi woh lambi toh nahi hogi...iska matlab aap jhuth bol rahi thi."

She was stunned to hear his trick...not his but Arjun bhaiya's trick.
"Woh...woh bss main aise hi naak par hath rakha tha. Aur main jhuth nahi bol rahi... dekho naak waise hi hai."

Pralay chuckled and hugged her sister.
"Naina didi, aap jaldi se jeeja ji ko bolo ki aapko yaha se le jaaye."

Naina was hurt with his statement. Does his brother didn't want her to live with him? Like Preeti. Does he hate her? Was she bothering him? Was she again going to be homeless?

"Kya hua, Pralay?  Tumhara mera tumhare ghar par rehna pasand nahi...maine kuch galti ki hai."
She asked hesitantly.

Pralay unhugged her sister. She was having tears and fear in her eyes. He innocently said, "Meri Naina didi kabhi kuch galat nahi kar sakti. Aur baat rehne ki nahi hai didi...aapko pata hai Arjun bhaiya aur main bss ek hi baat par kabhi nahi ladte."

"Kaunsi baat par?"

"Yahi ki aapko mere ghar se bahar bhejna hai."

"Huh? Main kuch samaj nhi pa rahi."
She asked with confusion.

He face palmed himself and said,
"Offo meri buddhu didi. Arjun bhaiya aur main jaante hai ki aap happy nahi ho. Mummy aur papa, dono aap par bohat gussa karte hai...aapko saza dete hai. Mujhe bilkul aacha nahi lagta jab aapko chot lagti hai."

Naina looked at his brother, lovingly.

Pralay continued talking, "Toh mujhe Arjun bhaiya ne bataya ki aap yaha hamesha nahi rahoge...shaadi karke aap jeeja ji ke sath chale jaoge. Fir aapko mummy se daant bhi nahi khani padegi...saza bhi nhi milegi...aur itna saara kam bhi nahi karna padega."

She was overwhelmed with his care and affection. She caressed his face and said,
"Accha, aur tumhe lagta hai jab main shaadi karke jaungi toh waha khush rahungi...agar aisa nahi hua toh."

Pralay smirked proudly, "Iske baarein mein bhi maine socha aur Arjun bahiya ne kaha...ki main Jeeja ji ka test le lunga... unse milkar unhe saaf-saaf bol dunga agar meri Naina didi ko pareshan kiya...toh-"

She asked raising her eyebrows, "Toh?"

"Toh main bhi aapke sath... wahi aakar rahunga aur unhe bohat pareshan karunga."
He said innocently.

Naina chuckled softly.

Looking at her sister expectantly, Pralay asked,
"Toh batao kab mila rahe ho...jeeja ji se. Pehle main milunga Salman khan se fir Arjun bhaiya ko milwa dunga."

She pulled his cheek softly, "Pralay...abhi toh aisa koi nahi hai. Woh Salman khan bss mera accha dost hai. Aur jab bhi aisa koi mujhe milega toh sabse pehle main tumhe bataungi. Okay."

He nods and yawned.
"Promise."

Naina tucked him in the blanket and said, "Promise. Aur abhi tum so jao, shaitan....nahi toh tumhari wajah se Tai ji mujhe daant lagayengi."

Pralay giggled softly and closes his eyes.

She too lies down and stares at his brother.
"Main bhi... kyu sochti hu? Kyu sochti hu ki meri family hi nahi hai...koi pariwar nahi hai. Arjun bhaiya aur Pralay hai mera pariwar...yeh dono ko mera kitna khayal hai. Arjun bhaiya se toh main baad mein baat karungi...waise toh Pralay se ladte rehte hai magar iss mamle mein dono ne bohat planning kar rakhi hai."

Naina turned and was now looking at the sky, full of stars.
"Arjun bhaiya bhi na...Pralay ko yeh Jeeja ji wali baat kyu batayi? Magar jo bhi hai...dono bohat hi cute hai...dono ko kitni fiqar hai meri."

She chuckled remembering Pralay's talk.
"Yeh shaitaan ab roz mujhe tang karega...magar kya sach mein mere chehre se pata chal jata hai ki main Sameer se pyaar karti hu...huh. Aisa nahi ho sakta, nahi toh Sameer ko pata chal jata."

Naina sighed, "Waise dekha jaye toh Sameer chahe dikhne mein kitna bhi hero ho...dimag se bilkul...bilkul bandar hai. Pralay itna chota hai fir bhi mujhe dekhte hi samaj gaya... magar Sameer...use kabhi nahi dikhta. Bandar kahin ka."

She laughed thinking about Sameer's reaction if he got to know about his new name.
"Mera Bandar."

Naina again tried to sleep but the word 'Jeeja Ji' was roaming in her mind.
"Aaj pehli baar Sameer ko Jeeja ji naam mila hai. Ab yeh toh pata nahi ki mere aur Sameer ke raste ek ho bhi payenge ya nahi...par aaj Pralay ka Sameer ko Jeeja ji kehna...aisa laga jaise... jaise sachi mein Sameer aur meri shadi... ufff!!
Chalo yeh accha hai ki maine Pralay ko Sameer ka naam nahi bataya...na hi yeh ki main uski behen ko padhane jaati hu...nahi toh mera dimag kha jaata...milna hai... milna hai. Aur kahi usne Sameer ko jeeja ji kehkar bulaya toh...nahi, nahi...abhi-abhi toh Sameer aur meri dosti ka rang gehra hona shuru hua hai...main koi risk nahi le sakti...yeh dosti bhi nahi rahi toh mera dil kam karna band kar dega."

She sighed and finally falls asleep.
