(Matthews Pov)

I was finishing getting ready when mom knocked on the door.

"I'm coming please wait." I finished putting on my shirt and went and opened the door for mom. She hugged me tightly and smiled.

"I'm going to be driving you to school today Matthew. Apparently the school has a special classroom for child prodigys like yourself."

I smiled shyly and tried to hide my smile. Mom was the type of parent to always look after her children. And she doesn't think that it's embarrassing to always show your child affection. No matter where it was.

"Mom you know I like Matt better than Matthew. And what about Daniel , how is he going to get to school mom?"

Mom smiled. "He's taking his bike to school Matt. You are up earlier than Daniel is. So how about we go and have some breakfast before you have to go to school."

I smiled at mom. "That sounds like a good idea mom. I love you."

-a few minutes later-

Mom and I were finishing breakfast when Daniel came out of the room. He had his sun glasses on and knowing mom she would want to see his eyes before he left. Daniel was almost out the door when mom stopped him. I just stood there and waited for the scene to unfold.

"Daniel take your glasses off I want to see those baby browns."

"Mom I can't I'm going to be late for school."

"Daniel take them off."

"Mom I-."

"Now." Mom slapped her hands on the table causing me to stop and stare at the unfolding scene infront of me. Daniel slowly took his sunglasses off revealing his black eye.

Mom got up from the table and went to Daniel.

"My goodness Daniel, did a fight happen at the beach?"

"No mom I fell off my bike that was it."

"Daniel sweety you know can tell me anything."

"Nothing happened to me mom. I fell off my bike that's it. I'm going to be late for school."

Daniel left leaving me alone with mom who was upset. I got up from the table and hugged mom. She hugged me back and smiled sadly at me. She wiped her tears and smiled at me.

"Let's get you to school so you can meet the teacher that teaches child prodigys like yourself."

"Okay mom let's go."

-1 hour later-

Mom pulled up to the school and there was a man that looked like he was waiting for someone. Me and mom got out of the car and walked towards the man. When the man noticed us he smiled.

"Hello you must be Mrs.Larusso and you must be Matthew Larusso."

Mom smiled at the man. "Yes that is us. And he actually prefers to be called Matt."

"No problem I will respect that. Oh and my name is Mr.Sanders."

I smiled at the man. I feel like I can trust him. Mr.Sanders then turned and faced mom.

"Okay I will take Matt the classroom and introduce him to everyone else."

I looked at Mr.Sanders. "There are other students with high IQs Mr.Sanders?"

Mr.Sanders smiled at me.

"Of course Matt. There are ten students in the classroom. Eleven now that you are here. Apparently there are not a lot of child prodigys around here. That is why the class for young children with extremely high IQs is so small. But now we have another boy joining us and making our classroom family bigger."

I smiled at Mr.Sanders. I could tell that I can trust him. He seems really friendly. I turned around and faced mom. I hugged her and smiled. She returned the smile and hug.

"I have to go to work now Matt. I will pick you up after i'm done my shift. I can't wait to see how your first day goes. I love you so much Matthew."

"I love you to mom. I will see you after school is over."

I hugged mom one more time before she left to go to her job. I'm going to miss her a whole lot. But I know I will get through this and have a fun first day of school. I turned and looked at my teacher.

"Okay Matt let's go introduce you to the rest of the class before we get started."

I followed him to the school and couldn't wait too experience my very first time in highschool.
