"Princess! Come on. You have to take it so we can go home" she frowns at me.

"Daddy I don't want this. Non mi piace. E ' amaro" she says

"Caitlin, I know you don't like it, and it's bitter, but if you eat it, I'll give you chocolate" Gia says to her.

"Okay Angel" I frown at her as she takes the medicine

"Okay Angel? I'm your dad. You have to listen to me" I say at her.

"Daddy you jealous?" She tilts her head to me slightly

"No. It's your birthday tomorrow. What do you want?" She motions me to come closer to her.

I move my ear closer to her.

"I want a mommy" she whispers

I sigh.

"Anything else?" I ask and she shakes her head

"No daddy. I only want that." She smiles at me.

I nod.

"I'm going out to get you some food." I mumble walking out of the room.

"Seth" Gia follows me, grabbing my arm.

She turns me around looking at me confused.

"What's wrong?" She asks softly.

"I need to get married" I frown

She looks at me confused, biting her lip to stop laughing.

"What? She wants you to get married?" She smiles and I groan

"No Gia. She wants a mom. It's been a couple of weeks, and she been hinting that she wants a mom. We watch movies, and she says, that daddy? Why doesn't everyone have a mommy?" I sit down on the chair.

"She wants a mom?" Gia mumbles

"Yeah. I asked the doctor if I could take her out yesterday, when you were with Adam, and I took her to the mall. It's her birthday, and I wanted her to pick something out. She goes she doesn't want anything. I even said she can buy lipstick! She didn't want lipstick as well. Now I know why she didn't want anything. She wants a mom." I run a hand through my hair.

I should be enough. I do everything a mom does. I read to her at night. I wake up if she has a nightmare. I help her have a bath. I even get her changed every day. I take her to school and make her breakfast. What else does a mom do?

Okay I can't do all the hairstyles things, but I'm learning. I can do those braids. Kara showed me.

"Don't worry about it. Just buy her something else" she sits down next to me, holding my hand.

I kiss her a lot. We spend most of the time in the hospital. It's our little secret.
What I don't like is that she doesn't kiss me. I mean she doesn't make the first move. But I don't mind too much.

"Gia? What does a mom do that dad doesn't?" I ask confused

"Well there's the girl shopping-"

"I take her shopping for new clothes" she shakes her head

"Do you talk to her about the clothes? If she likes them or not? Do you make her try them on? Do you buy her shoes? Jewellery?" She asks

"I ask her if she likes them, and she says yes. So I buy it. Done, and we walk out of the shop" she giggles

"That's the thing. You men like to get everything and over with. You do everything you can Seth, but a daughter always needs mom. She needs someone who she can talk too" I nod covering my face with my hands

"She has Kara. She has you." I mumble

"But she doesn't have a mom. Look, get her a chocolate cake tomorrow, take her to the new house, take her shopping, spend time with her. She'll forget about wanting a mom" I nod looking at her.

I lean closer to her, but she stands up.

"Kara" she smiles behind  me.

I look behind me to see Kara and Dimitri.

Dimitri knows about Kara being pregnant. He was a little upset that I knew before him, and every time I see him I smirk at him. I knew before him.

"Seth. How is she?" Kara asks

"She's good. We're coming home now. How are you?" I smirk at Dimitri, who glares at me.

"I'm good. Stop it now Seth. You don't understand what he does. He doesn't even let me cuddle with him" she frowns

Gia laughs a little.

"And I still wake up with you wrapped around me" Dimitri smirks at her as she blushes.

Okay. We're still here.

I walk back inside the room to see Caitlin, looking at the ceiling. She smiles when she sees me.

"Daddy. Are we going home?" She asks and I nod.

"I'll get you food after we get you home" I walk closer to her.

They've taken the cast away from her leg, saying it's healed, but she should still rest.

"Daddy, where we going to go tomorrow?" She asks as I pick her up slowly.

"Shopping, to the park, to the beach, anywhere you want to go" I say

"Can we have a party?" She whispers into my ear

"You want a party?" I ask looking at her

She nods.

"Okay then. Who shall we invite?" I ask as I grab her bag, and walk out of the room.

"Angel. Auntie Kara, uncle Dimitri" she says as Dimitri takes the bag off me.

"And who else?" I ask as we walk out of the hospital. I already signed the papers for her to leave.

"Ryan- oh. Daddy you no tell Ryan I have new boyfriend" I freeze.

"What?" I ask looking up at her.

"I have a boyfriend. In school though. He's very nice to me" I shake my head

"You're not having a boyfriend yet. You're too young" she pouts at me.

"But daddy he loves me. He said he loves me more than you do" I frown

"He's an asshole. You're  going to go to school, and you're going to break up with him." She frowns

"Daddy he loves me" she whispers

"He doesn't. He's just using you. Done. I haven't even seen him" I say as we walk towards the car.

"Daddy he wants to meet you. He wants to marry me. He give me a candy ring as well." She says

Oh fuck no.

"Nope. You're never meeting that boy ever" she starts crying.

"Se-" I shake my head at Kara. I place Caitlin inside the car.

"Can you believe this? The guy had the nerve to give her a ring. Oh fuck no" I turn to them.

Gia's biting her lip to stop laughing and so is Kara. Dimitri's nodding at me.

"You should make her stop seeing that kid. You should move her into a different school" I nod

"Daddy I don't like you." Caitlin wipes her face, sniffing slightly.

"Caitlin, I'm just saying this so you don't cry. You're too young. You're 4 years old. End of discussion" I say. 

"I already crying." She pulls the door closed.

"She's a kid Seth. She doesn't understand. It doesn't mean anything to her when a guy asks her to marry her." Gia says opening the door and sitting in the car. She closes the door.  I see her pick Caitlin up, and wipes her face.

"She has a point. Forget it now. Just bring her home, we ordered pizza. The boys must be finishing it now" Kara shakes her head, and they both walk to a different car.

I walk around the car and sit in my seat. I close the door and start the car.

I didn't say anything bad right? I'm just protecting her. I don't want her to come home crying one day, saying a stupid asshole broke up with her.

"Angel? Posso venire con te per favore?" She whispers to Gia

"You can't come with me Caitlin. You have to go with your dad" Gia says

"Non mi piace papà" she whispers

"Caitlin. You shouldn't say that." Gia says to her

It was definitely something about me. Papa means dad. I know that much.

I park the car outside our house.

"Gia you go inside. Caitlin come here" I say opening my arms for her. She gets up and climbs towards me, over the gear box.

She sits on my lap, as Gia gets out of the car.

"How did it start? Do you love him?" I ask

"Yes daddy. He said he loves me so I said I love him too. He said he love me more than my daddy and mommy. I said I have no mommy. He said I love you more than his mommy. He said he's mommy and daddy fight all the time, and he wants to love me. I said okay he can love me. He said--He said he want to marry me. I said okay. I forgot about Ryan. You upset because of that daddy? I love Ryan as well, but I marry Gabe" she smiles at me slowly.

"He better be crazy about you" I sigh and she gasps

"He is daddy! He's proper crazy. He fight two boys for me. They pull my hair, and he punch them, and they all fall to the floor" I smile

"He's approved in one thing. Are you happy now? You love me more right?" She nods

"I love you more than anyone daddy. He love me more than his mommy and daddy, but I don't. I love you more" she kisses my cheek and I smile

She's not really getting married. Not on my watch.
She's happy about it. That's the main thing.

"I love you more than my parents too" she nods

"Daddy? You no tell Ryan?" She pouts at me.

"Nope. We have to break his heart?" I nod and she nods slowly.

"I break it with hammer" I chuckle getting out of the car.

She's my daughter after all.
