Title (5/5):

The title suits the theme of the book, and doesn't need to be changed.

Cover (4/5):

Since this is a one shot book, the cover is completely fine. But, I think it could be changed up a little. For example, the background could be a solid color, but he title could be written in some kind of a crazy font. It will make the book more eye catchy. Of course, this is just a suggestion.

Blurb (4/5):

The blurb is great! It completely sums up the fact that the book will include only one shots, and also mentions the type of one shots that the reader will receive. However, I think it can still be made better. Excluding the excerpts, I have given an example below.

Want to read about the memories of some people? Important ones, sad ones, or even happy ones? Well, you're in the right place. This is a collection of the happy, sad or important memories of people that are etched into their minds, completely embedded into their skulls. Go on and read the story, and fill yourself with knowledge of what's going on in the life of others.

✪✪✪✪✪✪✪✪✪

Of course, it's the authors choice of whether she wants to use these or not.

Genre (5/5):

This doesn't even need to be said, but this is completely a one shot book. No changes need to be made here.

Originality (10/10):

All of the one shots seem extremely original, and I love the fact that some of them are based off of the authors thoughts and views in real life. The originality of each one shot makes their plots interesting, and acts as a hooking factor, urging the reader to go on. I was impressed with the stories in each one shot, and found myself feeling excited as each characters story unfolded little by little. A "Great job!" to the author on that one!

Description (10/10):

The descriptions were also great. The one shots were described perfectly where they needed to be, and I enjoyed the fact that the amount of description and action in each one was balanced. Enough description was given to provide the reader with a visual image, but not too much that it took away from the main plot of each story. I feel that it is hard to balance between action and the amount of description sometimes, so I really commend the author on this.

Character development (10/10):

The character development was not exactly an important part of this book, since it contained one shots, but I saw it coming where it needed to happen. I also found the characters developing subconsciously, and could tell the difference if I looked at the beginning, and then at the end of the one shot. This is great, and fits the book completely.

Plot (10/10):

Each one shots plot was unique, and simply amazing. I felt myself diving into different worlds every five minutes, and how the author made it seem so natural is beyond me. I'm truly impressed by how each one shot contained a little of the characters past, and went on to develop it right to the scene that was currently happing in the characters life. It also seemed very natural, as if the character was just lost in his/her thoughts, before he/she snapped back to reality, in a slow, but steady form. I really enjoyed the plot of each one of the one shots, and also liked the ones which didn't exactly have a plot, and were just a bunch of thoughts and viewpoints compiled into a perfectly executed one shot.

Grammar (14/15):

The grammar was almost completely perfect. The use of punctuation was great, but I found a few slip ups when it came to the commas and periods. Some places had periods instead of commas, and others had commas instead of periods. However, I think that this problem can easily be fixed if the book is edited. If the author is not confident with her English and grammatical skills, she can send it over to an editing center. Other than this little problem, the grammar was great.

Structure (5/5):

The structure was also perfect. All of the paragraphs were structured correctly, and so was the page layout. The dialogue was also correctly placed, and I didn't find any problems in the structure whatsoever.

Vocabulary/Spelling (10/10):

The vocabulary and spelling were both completely correct. I didn't spot any typos, and can see that descriptive and imaginative vocabulary has been used. The author has a unique writing style, which makes the usually ordinary vocabulary even more interesting and intriguing. A really, really big "Awesome job!" to the author for that!

Overall Enjoyment (10/10):

I really, really enjoyed these emotional one shots. As I've mentioned before, I love the fact that they are based off of the authors views and beliefs, and feel that this is an excellent way to portray them. I found myself lost in each characters story, and was completely hooked the entire time that I was reading this book.

For the author: Your work is amazing, and I absolutely love it! Once the few mistakes are fixed, I am sure that this book will reach great levels of success. Keep doing the great work! Thank you for choosing me!
