Duryodhan Against Dwarka
Kritavarma, Satyaki and Dau furiously picked up their weapons while Kanha stood there smiling at their hasty movements as the four of them proceeded in two different directions. Satyaki and Kritvarma at the main entrance of Dwarka, occupied by Hastinapur's army, while Dau and Kanha towards the other frontier where Dushasan will be arriving shortly.
"Krishn, I would appreciate if you would atleast take a sword in your hand." Dau looked at Kanha.
"She has taken the weapon of my share as well." Kanha smiled as they neared the area.
"Who?" Dau asked.
"Today is an awful day for Bhrata Duryodhan." Kanha said freezing in his position as he saw the figure of Dhriti, furiously standing with a sword in one, while bow in her other hand.
"How have you been Dushasan? Never thought we would have a reunion like this." Dhriti shouted on the top of her lungs as Dushasan motioned his soldiers to stop while he himself got down his chariot, walking towards Dhriti.
"Pranam Didi." Dushasan smirked as he held the harness of the ritual horse in on of his hand.
"You must have already heard about Bhrata Duryodhan's Ashvamedh Yagya." He added.
"Ofcourse ofcourse. So where is he and Mamashree Shakuni hiding?" Dhriti spoke in a stern voice.
"Uh....Okay. Not the best time to go and stop her." Dau spoke as the two men moved aside, letting Dhriti have her way.
"They aren't hiding anywhere! They'll be arriving shortly. And what are you doing?" Dushasan raised his voice.
"Ah ah, lower your voice Rajkumar. You don't wanna talk to me in this manner. Also, I'm not letting you enter the territory like this.
Afterall, you're my cousin. You should have a grand welcome to Dwarka.
So now tell me, what made you make this grand appearance on the outskirts of Dwarka with a few soldiers, without any prior notice?" Dhriti spoke, trying to keep calm.
"Keep your weapons down and tell me where is Balaram Dau or Kritavarma.
I would rather talk to the Senapati and Army chiefs rather than wasting my time with you." Dushasan mocked as anger started building up in Dhriti's eyes.
"Look Dushasan, I'm not letting you enter the city and let you prove your superiority by letting this horse roam across the streets." Dhriti spoke, taking a deep breath.
"That's exactly what's on our mind, Yadavkumari." Dhriti heard the voice of Duryodhan as she glared at Dushasan before moving aside.
"So, now Kritavarma and Krishn have sent you instead of facing us by themselves? Indeed, Yadavs are very brave." Duryodhan tired to ridicule as her breath hitched.
"Yuvraj! I made it clear. Its against Dharma to attack on a state with whom you share matrimonial alliance." Dhriti spoke shooting a band of arrows in front of their chariots.
"Alright, she's no less than Arjun. Like brother like sister." Dau spoke making Kanha chuckle.
"WHERE IS KRISHN, BALRAM DAU OR KRITAVARMA? ASK THEM TO COME FORWARD AND STOP ME IF THEY CAN." Duryodhan shouted as he was insulted with the fact that Dhriti singlehandedly managed to handle the four of them.
"YEAH THE THREE OF THEM DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME TO DEAL WITH YOUR CHILDISH, AND PUERILE BEHAVIOR." Dhriti spoke as Angraj released his arrow, making the band of arrows, instantly vanish away.
"You still want to challenge us?" Karna spoke getting down from his chariot.
"Oh please! I had just made a band of arrows which you managed to clear out. I know you're an extremely skilled archer, and I respect that, does not mean you'll let pride consume you." Dhriti spoke walking forward as she motioned her soldiers to give cover on the sides where Duryodhan's army was occupying their positions.
"Don't tell me she's going to fight with the four of them all alone. Let me go Krishn. I'll send Duryodhan back to Hastinapur with broken joints." Dau fumed as Kanha stopped him.
"Dau, are you counting Mamashree Shakuni? Come on, he'll drop down his weapon and pride on a single call from Dhriti. And broken joints are not enough for Bhrata Duryodhan." Kanha assured
"Is this a show time? We're hiding like cowards here." Dau spoke lightly hitting Kanha.
"We're not hiding here Dau. We're just waiting for Priya to show everyone what she is. Also, your favourite student and his best friend need a lesson from none other than their younger sister." Kanha explained, lighlty mumbling his last line.
"Dhriti! Be in your limits!" Duryodhan warned, getting down with his sword.
"For the last time, I must remind you, you're not my master, so don't try to control me.
Drop your weapons and apologize Pitashree for attacking Dwarka and I won't raise my weapons. Rest is your wish." Dhriti warned, without removing her sword, as she silently stood there with a straight face.
"This horse will freely roam in Dwarka and none of you can stop us. Just like your brothers are under Hastinapur, in the same way your Dwarka would be under Hastinapur." Duryodhan said, keeping his naked sword on Dhriti's shoulder as the four of them started giving out an evil laugh.
"Nobody's a family in the battlefield. You're just a warrior." Samudra Raj's words ringed in Dhriti's mind as sudden energy rushed into her. Her fierce sight pierced into Duryodhan's eyes, surely giving him a burning sensation.
"Narayan! Vitality is intensifying inside her body." Mahadev's concerned voice echoed in Kanha's ears.
"Let her give it out Mahadev. If this time, she supresses it, that energy will put her in vigorous pain." Kanha assured him as he trusted Dhriti in that sense.
"Why are you silent Dhriti? Is the sword frightening you. What happened now?" Shakuni mocked as Dau had no limits to his anger on the way the four of them talked to her.
"Nothing happened, but lot will happen now......" She spoke knocking Duryodhan down with her fist as she proceeded towards Shakuni.
"You cannot attack me. I don't have any weapon in my hand. That's against the rule."Shakuni tired to run but in vain.
"Attacking on Dwarka was against the rule as well."Dhriti shot arrows, locking him down as Dushasan called her for a duel conflict.
Karna once again positioned his bow to free Shakuni from her arrows but the intensified energy from her arrows passed through Shakuni's body, giving him major shocks as he whined in pain.
Karna frustatingly ran a hand through hai hair as he walked towards Duryodhan still lying on the ground.
"Come on get up Mitra Duryodhan. She just punched you and you're still lying here." Karna spoke, giving Duryodhan a hand.
"That was not just a punch. My body is burning Mitra." Duryodhan complained, getting up.
"You would have not been in this situation of plight if you would have allowed Dau and Bhrata Krishn to face us and let the horse roam in the city." Dushasan spoke as his sword clashed with Dhriti's, making a loud sound enough to silence people, miles apart.
Dushasan fought with complete confusion. At all times, Dhriti has always been the one answering to all his insults with a comeback but today Dhriti did not even open her mouth to answer Dushasan's single question. It was like her eyes talking and tearing Dushasan's soul apart.
Poor child Dushasan did not even have the slightest idea, the energy can burn him into ashes.
"Krishn, I'm worried. She isn't Dhriti anymore." Dau said looking over at Kanha.
"Don't worry Dau. I'll be there on the right time. But right now, even touching Priya would be the worst descision anyone could ever take." Kanha assured as he felt the same sensations as Dhriti, flowing inside his body.
"Get away- Ahhhh!!" Dushasan cried in pain as he attempted to push Dhriti away, but his slightest touch to her body, nearly blazed Dushasan's fingers.
"Don't.touch.me. I'm not the same Dhriti you pushed away during Kala Pradarshan." She warned in a slow yet dominating voice as Dushasan was limitlessly afraid.
"Enough is Enough Mitra. She has been overpowering Dushasan for a long time without giving him a chance to counter back. Captivate her!" Duryodhan ordered Karna as the latter gave him a look to confirm what he's saying.
"Are you sure?" Karna still asked with a straight face.
"I'm sure. Captivate her! We're not freeing her until Dwarkadheesh grants permission to let this ashwa roam through their streets." Duryodhan wickedly grinned.
Karna nodded as he shot one single arrow, to notify her about his attack, keeping the rules of a warrior in his mind.
The two men thought that Dhriti would stop her duel with Dushasan and turn around but girl held the streamlined arrow in her fist without even looking behind, stopping it from hitting her as she continued clashing with Dushasan with her other hand.
"Tell him to stop doing whatever he's about to do otherwise....." Dhriti spoke with gritted teeth, holding the larger part of the sword on Dushasan's throat.
"Bacche Duryodhan! She'll kill him." Shakuni shouted from his position making Kanha and Dau chuckle.
"Dhriti! Stop it! Leave Dushasan." Karna spoke shooting high barriers of arrows circling her making her unable to move.
"I'm sorry Dhriti! I tricked you to stop your attacks. Its wholly wrong to attack on a warrior already dueling with someone else. I've failed my gurus for my friend." Karna thought, guilt covering as Kanha observed his helpless face.
Dhriti had still not spoken a word for what Angraj had done. Her flaming eyes kept observing the way those arrows had tried to captivate her.
"Erhm, so as I said, since neither Balram Dau, nor Krishn oh and not even Kritavarma have arrived for your rescue, Dhriti, you are captivated until Dwarkadheesh allows me to complete my remaining rituals.
Dushasan! Free Mamashree and take the horse.
Do you have anything to speak Dhriti?" Duryodhan asked smirking at Dhriti, who had kept her eyes closed for a while as Dushasan snatched away her sword and bow.
"All I want to say is, if you love your dear life, stay away from me." Her voice made chills run down Duryodhan's and Dushasan's spine while Angraj gulped, moving towards her in some concern.
"Dhriti..... You-you're not okay." Karna spoke looking at her face as she opened her eyes and the very next second, the three of them had their bodies touched to the ground as the explosive energy blew up, breaking the barrier around her as Kanha and Dau shot up in shock.
She picked up her bow and walked towards Duryodhan lying down with Karna and Dushasan on his sides and Shakuni on the other hand, still stuck in the same position where Dhriti had pinned him earlier.
"I don't need anyone to rescue me." She let out aiming an arrow towards them when Kanha stopped her.
"Priya....." He calmly spoke, keeping a hand on her shoulder as all his affection and peace passed into Dhriti's body, calming her down while she slowly lowered her bow.
"Look at me Priye." Kanha spoke turning her around as the burning rage from her eyes gradually lowered and was replaced by tears.
"Kanha...... This....." She spoke hugging him tightly as Kanha kept quiet, lovingly embracing her back.
"Dau! Rajkumari! Are all of you okay?" Kritavarma said approaching along with Satyaki.
"Yes we are. Now Satyaki, take their weapons in our custody and Kritavarma, Pitashree must be waiting for our 'dear' guests in the Sabha. Escort them over there." Dau ordered as the two men walked towards them.
"My Warrior, seems that you found your answers after staying awake all night yesterday." Kanha chuckled looking at her tired face.
"You're better at acting like you were asleep Kanha.
Anyways, Pitaji gave me his darshan this morning. He's the one who helped me arrive at a single descision. Also, he has sent his greetings to you." Dhriti smiled back.
"I know. I'm glad you both met, after a long long time." Kanha grinned as Dhriti walked towards the horse, beautifully decorated with ornaments and flowers, with a note, of Hastinapur's royal administration stuck on his forehead.
"As I said earlier, this horse won't be going back to Hastinapur." Dhriti smiled removing the note and heavy ornaments from his body as she gently caressed him while Kritavarma and Satyaki escorted the other four with due respect keeping in mind the relations they share.
"Yuvraj! You all can ride on our chariots. No need to walk all the way towards the palace. You are Rajkumari Dhriti's cousin even after all this." Satyaki gave a small smile as all their chariots took a leave, while Kanha and Dhriti stood watching the sun slowly set with the horse's harness tied around her wrist.
"Hm.... you've realized your inner virtues and the ability to find your own answers. Shri finally did it." Kanha grinned at her.
"You should actually stop eavesdropping me." Dhriti giggled as they slowly paced.
"I was not eavesdropping, that's called keeping an eye. Because Kanha is absolutely caring towards his Priya." He chuckled putting a hand around her shoulder.
"Then I guess you were 'keeping an eye' on your Priya this whole time as well." She laughed.
"Yes yes ofcourse. And not to mention, I am so impressed with my Chanchala." Kanha praised her.
"She's Gauri's Sakhi afterall." They heard Parvati's voice, gently smiling.
"Oh there you are! Haven't heard from you since two days. What kept my sister busy?"Kanha continued their battle of taking credits.
" I have to look after Ganesha and Nandi's pranks and havocs na.
You'll understand how hard it is to look after mischievous little ones soon Bhratashree." Parvati giggled, making Dhriti's cheeks turn red.
"But but, my Shri is fabulous with kids. I don't think she'll be in any extra pain of handling kids." Parvati continued as Dhriti kept denying the fact that they still call her a kid.
"Narayan! Narayan! Prabhu, Maate, Devi Shakti my apologies for intervening your 'strong discussion' , but I have something important to inform." Narad spoke as he appeared before Kanha and Dhriti.
"What is that Devarshi?" Kanha asked.
"Hastinapur Naresh Dhritarashtra." Narad spoke.
"What happened to him? Is he alright?" Dhriti asked in spontaneous worry.
"He's alright Maate, but upon knowing the news of you raising your weapons against Yuvraj, he is furious and has asked you to apologize.
Even Jyesht Yudhishthir has decided to write a letter asking you to apologize." Narad spoke as Dhriti looked down in sorrow and anger.
"Oh!"! Dhriti sarcastically gave out a laugh.
"A Kshatriya protecting their state is not an act requiring any apologies. No worries.
Now just watch how destiny transposes the situation.
Don't even worry a bit Priye, Kanha won't let anyone force you into apologizing for something where you did no wrong." Kanha lifted up Dhriti's fallen face as Narad took their leave and they proceeded towards the Palace.
