"Mommy..." Your daughter (d/n) called.

"Yes dear?" You said and looked at your daughter.

"When will daddy take his day off?" She asked.

"I don't know sweetie." You said and kissed her head and move a strand of her hair behind her ear. "I'll ask him later when he comes home." You said.

"OK." She said.

"Why are you asking me about his day off?" You asked.

"Well... I wanted to spend time together. I miss spending time together and daddy is always busy." (D/n) said.

You kinda feel guilty or sorry for her. The last time the three of you had a family outing was since last year. And that last year, 'Kaneki' was 'Sasaki' during that time. You gave (d/n) a small smile.

"Don't worry. I'm sure daddy would have time to spend time together as a family." You said trying to get her out of her little blues.

"Yeah... Daddy keeps breaking his promises." She said and that confused you.

"Promises?" You asked.

"I also asked daddy of he can take day off at a Saturday but he's always at work and he said he promised but he didn't." She said and had sad expression her face.

You felt mad at Kaneki but in the same time worried at (d/n) because maybe Kaneki said something bad to her when she kept asking him. But you also understand Kaneki's situation.

"Daddy is just very busy (d/n). I know that daddy wanted to spend time with you. Im sure that he'll get a day off soon." You said and lied about the second part cause you don't really know if he wanted to or not.

---Time skip to a Friday night---

Your POV

Kaneki is now doing paperwork. I was cleaning the dishes. I didn't noticed that (d/n) went out of her room and went to the living room where Kaneki is doing his paperwork. (D/n) sat next to Kaneki and hugged him. Kaneki looked pissed but kept it cool and hugged her back and smiled. That also made me smile and it looks cute.

"Are you going to be busy tomorrow?" (D/n) said. My smile faded when she asked him that. Kaneki is always busy an don't want to here him say that he can't.

Kaneki just kept smiling and cares (d/n) cheek. Again it looks so cute like I wanna pinch Kaneki's cheek. Hehe that is if I can.

"No. I'm not busy tomorrow." Kaneki said.

Me and (d/n) was shock. "So does this mean that we can spend tone together?" (D/n) asked with excitement.

Kaneki looked at me and I smiled at him. He smiled back and looked back to (d/n).

"Yes" he said.

"Yay!" (D/n) said and hugged Kaneki and again its so adorable!

I sat next to (d/n). "So where do you want to go tomorrow?" I asked.

"The park!" She squealed.

Me and Kaneki chuckled. "Alright. You better sleep now (d/n). Its getting late." I said.

She nodded and went to her room. Once (d/n) was out of sight, I looked at Kaneki. I gave him a small smile.

"Finally have your day off?" I asked.

He sighed and continued with his paperwork. "Yeah... I'll be in bed soon. I'm almost done with my paperwork." He said.

"OK." I said and kissed his cheek. "I'll he waiting for you." I said and smiled and went to our bedroom.

Before I wen to my room, I checked (d/n) to make sure she's sleeping. At least she's sleeping. I went over her and gave her a kiss on the forehead.

"Sweet dreams my little angel" I said softly and left her room quietly, wen to my room and changed.

Kaneki's POV

I'm done with my paperwork. Finally! I went to (d/n)'s room to check on her. I always do this every night but (y/n) doesn't know that I do that. I opened (d/n)'s door and I can see her sleeping peacefully.

Sleep well (d/n)... I love you (d/n) and it hurts me to see you sad. I'll make it up to you tomorrow. Sleep well.

I said in my thoughts and closed the door quietly.

I hope Akira won't disturb my day off.

I went to my room. The first thing u saw when I entered was (y/n) newly putting her night gown or a short night dress or whatever you girls call it (😂😂😂). I just smirked.

"Don't wear your night dress." I said.

(Y/n) flinched and looked back. "K-kaneki! I-i d-dint kn-know you were-nevermind." She stuttered.

I closed the door behind me and sighed. I went over (y/n) and hugged her and kissed her neck.

"I mean it. Don't wear your night dress." I mumbled at her neck.

"Then what do you want me to wear?" She asked.

I smirked and whispered at her ear. "Nothing. Just leaving you with your bra and panty." I let go of her.

Her eyes widened and she slapped my shoulder. "Sh-shut up." She said in a blushing mess.

I chuckled. "I love you." I said and licked her cheek.

"Gaaah! Kaneki!" She said still blushing and lie down in bed.

I changed and joined her. I put an arm around her.

"I love you too, Kaneki" she said then we kissed and slept.

Its already Saturday. You, (d/n) and Kaneki are now at the park. (D/n) is playing at a sand box at the park. That reminded you of Kaneki when he was still little. Yes, both of you are also childhood friends. It was 3 pm and the three of you are going to :re for some snacks and something to drink.

Kaneki got a call from Akira and told him to go to the CCG now for something important.

"I gotta go." Kaneki said

"To where?" You asked.

"CCG. I have something important to do. I'll see you later at our apartment." Kaneki said and left.

You looked down at (d/n) who looked sad and is about to cry. But she's trying her best not to cry. She just have teary eyes. You also felt sad for her again.

(D/n)'s POV

We were so close! Why can't dad have his full day off! Uuugh! I just wanted to spend time as a whole family. I knew this was coming. I knew that dad would break his promise... Again!

Kaneki's POV

I mentally groaned when Akira called me. I know that (d/n) is upset of me. I promised to make it up to her. How could I if all these stupid ghouls gets in the way. Uuugh! I wish they never exist in the first place.

---Time skip---

I finally got home. I was tired and pissed. I sat on the couch and massaged my forehead.

"I'm very dissapointed at you." (Y/n) said behind me as she crossed her arms.

"I'm just very busy." I said bluntly not facing her.

"You or we promised our daughter that we would spend time together... As a family." (Y/n) said.

I groaned. "Just shut up already!" I spat or hissed.

Now I'm having a head ache. Great.

"Don't you CCG workers have a day off for once?" She said.

No one's POV

You asked Kaneki a question. You and Kaneki didn't know that (d/n) was there watching silently. Her eyes are a little red because she was crying. Kaneki was really pissed off because of work and now this.

"Would you just shut up for once!? I'm sick of this! I'm sick of this whole stupid damn family stuff!" Kaneki yelled at you pissed.

"Keep your voice down! (D/n) is sleeping." You scold him.

He stood up. "Fuck this shit I'm out!" Kaneki said as he went out of he door and slammed it.

(D/n) went back to her room crying again. You quickly turned back when you heard someone sobbed. You felt sorry again. You didn't want (d/n) to hear all of this.

I'm so sorry (d/n). You said in your mind.

(D/n) cried at her pillow.

Daddy doesn't love us anymore? Was all those promises a lie? He never loved me? Was daddy pissed all the time when I ask him? Did he ever loved me? All those questions flooded in (d/n) mind. She couldn't stop crying. She felt heart broken.

You opened your daughters room slowly. "(D/n)?" You called her softly. (D/n) sniffed. You sent towards her bed and comforted her. "I'm so sorry sweetie. I never wanted you to hear all of that. I never even wanted to see you like this." You said softly.

(D/n) sniffed and looked up at you. "Did daddy ever love us?" She asked.

"Yes, daddy love us... He's just stressed because of work." You said to her softly. She burried herself in your arms and you hummed her a song that your mother used to hum for you when you were still little.

Kaneki left your apartment. He needed some time alone and relieve all his stress. He walked around Tokyo. He walked pass the park as good memories of you and (d/n) flooded in his mind. He somehow regretted leaving. So he went back to the apartment.

He entered the apartment quietly. He went to (d/n)'s room to check on her. (D/n) was sleeping peacefully. He gave sleeping (d/n) a small smile and closed the door. He went to your room. You were already sleeping. Kaneki changed and joined you in bed.

"I want to hear an apology to our daughter tomorrow." You told Kaneki.

Kaneki sighed. "I know." He said.

"And also to apologize to her what you said." You said.

Kaneki was a bit confuse and he asked you what you meant. You told him that (d/n) heard both of your small conversation. Kaneki felt like he is behind bars of guilt.

Morning...

You were making breakfast for your family. Kaneki was reading a book and drinking his coffee. (D/n) woke up and went to the dinning room. She was avoiding eye contact with Kaneki. Kaneki didn't noticed that (d/n) was there infront of him. You then coughed trying to get his attention. He stopped reading and looked up at you. You didn't look at him. He looked in front of him and was (d/n). He felt guilty again and sighed.

"(D/n)" Kaneki called (d/n). She just hummed. "Did you hear me and your mom's conversation last night?" He asked.

You felt like you wanna hit his head with a turner/spatula you are holding or a frying pan.

(D/n) nodded being honest to her father. Kaneki sighed again. "I'm sorry... I didn't want you to hear all of that... I was just stressed." Kaneki said.

"I-its OK dad. I accept our apology." (D/n) said and gave a small smile.

Kaneki stood up and gave (d/n) a hug. (D/n) hugged back. You smiled at the both of them. You sighed.

"That's better." You said as the both of them break their hug. "I guess your a big softie after all." you teased like you use to before.

He just rolled his eyes at you. "Don't give me that eye roll Kaneki." You said and (d/n) chuckled.

"What ever Mrs. Kaneki." He said and you blushed.

Then the three of you chuckled and enjoyed the day.
