When you were 7 years old...

I am a new student in Yamii University. I was scared and nervous because maybe the students there won't like me.

"Okay class, meet your new classmate, (L/N) (Y/N)." My so called teacher said. "Say hello to your new classmate." She said.

"Hi (L/N)" The whole class said.

I know that some ate not interested to know me.

"Uhmm... You can just call me (Y/N)." I said very shy and I almost stuttered.

"You may take a seat, (Y/N)." the teacher said.

There was a seat at the back behind a black haired boy. I took my seat and prepared my self for class.

1st day of school is over. I was waiting for my dad at the school gate. I was bored waiting so I just read a book. Later on, one of my classmates greeted me. He has orange hair and he seems to be always happy. The black haired boy wad also with him.

"Hey there. Your (Y/N) right?" The orange haired boy asked.

"Ya I am. What's your name?" I asked.

"My name is Hide Nagachika but you can just call me Hide. And this is my best friend Kaneki Ken." He said.

"H-hey." Kaneki said. I think he's shy.

"You wanna hang out with us?" Hide asked.

"Uh maybe next time." I said.

"Oh come on please." He begged and did his puppy eyes.

I giggled at his expression. "Those puppy eyes won't work on me." I said feeling a bit proud.

"Aww. Fine. Then we'll just keep you on company then." He said and they both sat down with me.

"Are you waiting for your parents?" Kaneki asked.

"Hm? Oh yeah I am." I said.

"Do you like books because this nerd does." Hide said and pointed at Kaneki.

"Hide!" Kaneki said and punch him.

I giggled. They're both fun. They're such good friends. Hide laughed at Kaneki.

"You know that your punches are weak right?" Hide teased Kaneki a little.

Kaneki rolled his eyes. We talked a lot and had fun.

"I'm glad that you made friends already on your first day." My dad said.

"Oh dad your here." I said.

"Ready to go home?" He asked.

"Y-yeah." I said and stood up. "Bye Hide. Bye Kaneki." I said and waved at them.

---time skip---

"Who were those two boys?" Dad asked.

"Well they're my classmates." I said.

"What's their name?" Mom asked

"Hide and Kaneki." I said.

"Are they good boys?" Mom asked.

"Of course. They're fun and funny. They wanted me to hang out with them." I said.

"OK let us know them when they have time. Okay?" Dad said

"Yes dad." I said and continued eating my dinner.

Months passed and me, Kaneki and Hide became good friends. Well I think not good friends. I prefer best friends. We always hang out. Its also funny when Kaneki leaves Hide and Hide has to run towards Kaneki and he would shake him back and forth.

9 years later...

Me, Kaneki and Hide are hanging out. We're at the park walking and seeing little kids playing.

"Hey guys remember when Kaneki fell over that swing!" Hide said and pointed at a swing.

Me and Kaneki looked at the direction of where Hide pointed.

"Oh yeah I remember." I said and chuckled.

I can feel Kaneki rolling his eyes.

"Don't be such a kill-joy, Kaneki." Hide pouted a little.

"Kill-joy!? I'm not a kill-joy! I'm fun!" Kaneki said.

"Pft. Is reading books part of it?" Hide asked.

"Y-yeah." Kaneki said.

Hide sighed. "OK nerd in love." Hide said and smirked.

Kaneki has a crush on someone?

"HIDE!!" Kaneki yelled at Hide

"Hahaha. Good luck man. You better not mess up. I'll be back in a while." Hide said patting Kaneki's shoulder and walked away.

"Hide! Come back here!" Kaneki demanded.

"Don't waste your chance Kaneki!" Hide shouted because he was far away.

Kaneki groaned.

"So who'd the special girl. Ken?" I asked.

I have a feeling that it was me because I don't see any girl in front of us or something.

Nah don't think like that. Wait.
Do I like Kaneki?
Why do I feel a bit disappointed inside of me.
Meh I don't care.

"So... (Y/N)" Kaneki said.

I snapped out of my thoughts.

"Hm?"

"We've been friends for a long time. A-and I've been cru-crushing on you s-since we were 7" he confessed

I blushed.

"I-i don't know i-if you feel the same." Kaneki said.

I don't know what to say. So I just kissed his cheek. He kinda blushed though.

"I also kinda like you too." I said and smiled.

He smiled back. "Well I actually love you more than a like."

I was shock and blushed more. We had an awkward silence for a while.

He loves me.
I've never felt this way before.

"Sorry that I made our friendship a bit awkward now-" Kaneki was cut off.

I kissed him at the lips. I can feel his face heating up. I broke the kiss to make him calm down.

"I also love you too Kaneki." I said and hugged him.

He was shocked but hugged me back.

Months passed and me and Kaneki are girlfriend and boyfriend now. We're dating now. I'm also sad because I'll be leaving. It breaks my heart to leave my friends and my boyfriend. I'll be at the Philippines for 2 years.

"Kaneki."

"Yes (Y/N)." Kaneki said and looked at me.

I held Kaneki's hand tighter and look down at my feet. "I-i don't re-really want to say this."

Kaneki looked at me with worried eyes. "What is it." He said as he cares my cheek.

Tears run down to my face. "I-Im-"
