This is an episode I think you're going to like or hate, but I'm on the side of enjoying it, but I get the criticisms.

First, I'm just glad they got Kajiki and the others finding out that Tsurugi is Hijiri's brother out of the way. But just imagine how weird this scenario.

You find out your crush or date is hugging someone after you're hitting it off. Then you find out, "oh that's they're sibling." Then you find out they're a criminal ARSONIST. Like how those mix up and lead from one into another is just a bizarre set of circumstances that can only happen in a franchise like this!

But thank goodness this romance didn't end in a tragedy. I know certain people have complained this season is too lighter and softer than most seasons, but keep in mind the last season, the season everyone compares it too, and this season.

Geats ended with two high school students in the penultimate episode forced to become End Riders, falling in love, and then being ordered to get executed by a sociopathic audience in the future that's obsessed with murder and violence being the only for of entertainment and getting BLOWN UP!

Fourze had three love confessions that ended with a lifeform being turned to temporarily dead slime, Taurus attempting to betray and leave the Horoscopes, Tomoko being separated from Ryusei, and any incel who used his powers to kidnap EVERY women who rejected him, trap them onto a school bus, and almost succeed in throwing them off a building.

Good on Hasegawa, Kazuki Nakashima, and Riku Sanjo from being ahead of the curb in acknowledging and presenting that type of behavior, but given Hasegawa is working on this exact same show, they could've ended this the same way.

But instead, they got creative with how to approach this.
