It had been a year now that Scar was defeated and the pride lands came back to life. According to Sarabi and Nala, when Simba left so did the rain. The pride lands became a barren waste land, lacking the beauty it once held when Mufasa was king. The animals left to kept themselves alive and away from the tyrant king.
But now everything was as it should be. Animals flooded to the green plains and water glistened in pools. Kamaria found it all beautiful, different from the Oasis' beauty, but nonetheless it was still breathtaking.
"Are you ready?" Kamaria found Rafiki, a mandrill that was close friends with the pride, waiting in front of her. She was so lost in thought she missed Rafiki approaching her.
"Yes, so is she." Kamaria smiled down towards the tiny lioness in her paws. Her name was Kiara and she was the beautiful daughter to Kamaria and Simba. She took after her father in fur color, but she had her mother's blue eyes. She also was very curious about the world around her, Simba often losing his mind trying to keep her safe.
Rafiki nodded and gently took hold of the cub, he slowly walked to the edge of pride rock, the parents following. Simba and Kamaria stood behind as they watched their daughter be presented to the animals below.
"Is this what yours was like?" Kamaria whispered to her mate. Simba smiled back and rubbed his head against hers affectionately.
"The exact same." Kamaria nodded as she focused back on her daughter. She was now held above Rafiki's head, the wind blowing around her. It almost seemed to examine her before moving on.
The animals below cheered as Kiara just looked around confused. Kamaria smiled as Rafiki brought Kiara down from the sky, turning to hand her back. Kamaria sent a smile to the old monkey as Kiara was placed in front of her parents. She was looking up to them with her big blue eyes.
"Well done Kiara." Simba spoke as he nudged Kiara's body. Kamaria nodded in agreement and lightly bit her neck scruff. She carefully brought Kiara back into the cave that was carved into pride rock. It was where all the lions slept and watched their young.
"The cutest cub around, don't you think Simba?" Simba nodded to his mate as he stayed close by the two most important females in his life.
"She'll be lonely, you know. Won't have anyone to play with." Simba sent his mate a confused look. He would play with his daughter and he knew Kamaria would too.
Seeing the confused look on Simba's face, Kamaria rolled her eyes before setting their daughter down. She turned and sent Simba a look before licking the side of his face. Simba blushed at the action before a lightbulb went off in his head.
"Oh. Oh! Yea, yea I think you're right. Don't want Kiara to get bored." Kamaria sent him a sly smirk before focusing back on her daughter, Simba having a giddy smile on his face as he stared off into nothingness.

Not too long after Kiara came Kion, son to Simba and Kamaria. He had a paled shade of fur than his sister but had the eyes of his father. He also, apparently, was meant to be the leader of the pride lands lion guard. Kamaria and Simba listened to Rafiki as he told them the story.
It was made up of lions meant to protect the pride lands from danger. Kion, as second born, would be the leader of this group. He had a few years yet though before he became leader. For now, Kamaria and Simba just wanted him to be a lion cub.
———
It was a sunny day in the pride lands. Simba and Kamaria sat at pride rock, Kion rolling around between them. They both had smiles on their face at their son's happiness and youth. They wished neither of their children would lose that happiness as their father did.
"You talk to him!"
"No you!"
"He's going to kill you!"
"You lost her!" Simba and Kamaria looked to each other in confusion. It was Timon and Pumbaa arguing but both lions were confused. Weren't they meant to be watching Kiara in the pride lands? Did they come home early? But then where's Kiara?
"Pumbaa? Timon? Where's Kiara?" Simba quickly stood at seeing the warthog and meerkat with no lion cub with them. Kamaria got a bad feeling as the two nervously shuffled around.
"Nala! Watch Kion please." Kamaria called the lioness. Nala nodded before grabbing Kion and bringing him inside for safety.
Nala was happy for Simba and Kamaria and apologized for what she did back in the Oasis to Kamaria. Nala was one of the prides best trackers and she was a valued lion.
Kamaria trusted no other as much as Nala when it came to watching her kids. Pumbaa and Timon were okay, but as they just displayed, they often lost track of who they were meant to watch.
"Zazu!" Simba called a hornbill down from the skies. Zazu was captain of Sarabi's guard and he stayed to help Simba's rule. He had blue feathers covering his body expect his chest, which were white. He also had an extremely bright orange beak.
"Find Kiara!" Zazu agreed and flew into the air, looking around for the cub.
"Sire! She's next to the river, another cub with her!" Simba and Kamaria instantly ran behind Zazu. Worry gnawing at their insides at Kiara potentially being in danger. A couple of the lionesses raced behind their king and queen going to offer extra protection, if needed.
"Kiara!" Kamaria yelled as she broke through the tall grass. She instantly grabbed Kiara's scruff and pulled her closer to her. Simba let out a growl at the other cub, scaring the poor thing.
Kamaria looked to Simba in confusion, why was he acting like this towards a cub? She soon got her answer as a thin lioness jumped out and towered above the cub.
It was Zira, a lioness that believed Scar was the true king of the pride lands. Simba exiled her along with some other lionesses that looked different from them.
It was one of Simba and Kamaria's big disagreements, she thought the lionesses should've been allowed to stay while Simba argued they weren't lions, not like them. Kamaria took days before she could look Simba in the eye again. Simba had to beg for her forgiveness.
"Simba." Zira snarled.
"Zira." Simba snarled back.
"Kamaria." Said lioness sent a glare as she placed her paw in front of Kiara. Simba, not liking Zira focusing on his mate and daughter, stepped in front of her.
"Timon. Pumbaa. Now that we have that out of the way. Get out of our pride lands!" Timon yelled atop Pumbaa. They must have followed to make up for losing Kiara.
"Your pride lands? These are Scars!" Zira sneered to the meerkat, causing Timon to hide behind Pumbaa's hair.
"Scar was defeated. You know the rules, you aren't allowed here." Zira growled before she abruptly stopped. A sly smirk came over her face as she nudged the cub forward.
"I understand and if you must take your pound of flesh..." Simba sent a disgusted look to Zira at offering up a cub. Kamaria could see how scared the boy was, he was shivering as he looked up at Simba.
"Simba..." Kamaria whispered in disagreement. She would not stand here and watch Simba harm a cub no older than their own.
Simba snarled at being caught by Zira, he would harm the cub.
"Take him. Leave and never come back." Zira smiled and nodded. She grabbed the cub and left the pride lands heading back to her home in the outlands.
"Come Kiara." Simba said looking to his daughter in between his mates legs. Kiara looked to the cub in Zira's mouth and whispered a soft goodbye.
Kamaria bent down and grabbed Kiara and together the two separate prides and leaders went back to their own homes. One to scold his daughter for talking and playing with an outsider and the other to praise her son for coming up with a plan to kill the king.
