It has been a relaxing afternoon so far at the Naval Observatory!

Doug is currently out running errands while Kamala, Jill, Ivy, Devi and Jacob are all hanging out together!

Devi and Jacob have been playing together and watching episodes of Sesame Street or Mickey Mouse Clubhouse while Jill and Kamala are sitting in the dining room planning the boys' first birthday party - which is next weekend!

For the past few days, Jill and Jacob have been staying with Kamala and Doug because Joe tested positive for Covid once again, a rebound case.

Luckily, Joe doesn't have any symptoms this time around but he wants to make sure Jill and Jacob stay safe.

Jill and Jacob both really miss being home with Joe, Major, Willow and Commander but they are enjoying spending lots of one on one time with Doug, Kamala, Devi and baby Ivy.

Kamala finds an episode of Sesame Street for the boys to listen to while they play and get sleepy for their nap, which is very soon.

"Look Devi! Look, Jakey! There's Elmo and Big Bird!" Kamala says in a babyfied voice at the boys and they giggle loudly.

Ivy is in Jill's arms finishing up her afternoon bottle.

"Hi, Ivy. Hi, sweet girl. Nana loves you so much." Jill says as she kisses Ivy on the forehead.

"She looks so content with you, Jill." Kamala says to her with a smile.

"I know. She's such a good baby. Reminding me of Ashley's baby days all over again." Jill says while thinking about her daughter.

"You're gonna have two one year old twin granddaughters over a month from today. How do you feel?" Kamala asks Jill.

"I can't believe how fast time has gone. Devi and Jacob are almost one, Bonny and Eugenia are about to be one, Naomi is getting married soon. A lot of happy things are happening for our family that's for sure." Jill says with a big grin as she gently burps Ivy on her shoulder.

"Doug and I both want to help Cole and Greenley with their wedding. It's going to be fun!" Kamala says as she takes her portable breast pump off.

"Aww, I'm so happy for them. I know you two and Kirsten are going to make their wedding so wonderful and perfect for them." Jill says to Kamala.

"My goodness! Look at all of that breastmilk! Ivy is a lucky girl." Jill says as she continues to pat Ivy's back causing her to finally burp. 

"Tell me about it! I swear, I feel like I'm a cow that constantly needs milked. I feel like I didn't pump this much when Devi was born." Kamala says with a chuckle as she places the breastmilk in a bag before putting it in the freezer.

"Sit down and relax, you have been up and moving around all morning long, you need to rest. You had a baby ten days ago." Jill says motherly to Kamala.

"I get it. My mom would probably say that I'm too stubborn for my own good." Kamala says, causing both her and Jill to giggle.

"Oh my mom said the same thing too about me. But I want you to rest up whenever you can, especially with Jakey and I here. I'm here to help." Jill says as Kamala smiles.

"Aw, Jill. I really appreciate it. The help with Devi has been so helpful ever since Maya went home. Devi loves his Nana and Jakey so much. And I am really enjoying spending this one on one time with you." Kamala says to Jill.

"And I'm enjoying every moment with all of you.  I love being with two of my grandbabies plus my own baby. I miss Joe so much but he will be negative from covid any day now!" Jill says as Ivy yawns as she snuggles in her arms.

"I'm sure Joe is going crazy. I did near the end of my quarantine." Kamala says with a chuckle.

"He said he's doing fine, busy reading and watching movies." Jill says with a giggle.

Kamala and Jill then both look into the living room and see that Jacob and Devi have fallen asleep on the floor with Sesame Street playing on the television.

"I knew they were getting sleepy. They look so cute sleeping next to together." Jill says with a smile.

"Babies can sleep anywhere, can they? Should we move them?" Kamala asks Jill.

"Oh they can! And no, let them be. They are on a flat surface and comfortable so that's all that matters. It's a safe sleeping space." Jill says as Kamala nods.

"You're right. I still can't stop admiring Ivy's outfit. It's so cute!" Kamala says happily while looking at her daughter.

"Right? It's perfect for a warm day like this. Who got it for her again?" Jill asks Kamala as she fixes Ivy's little bonnet.

"Sienna Gore, Al and Tipper Gore's youngest daughter. It was one of her outfits that she wore as a baby and felt content with passing it on." Kamala says with a smile.

"She showed us pictures of her wearing it at two months old. Looking just like her mama." Jill answers back.

"I know. I can't wait to see them at the party next weekend. Especially seeing her parents together." Kamala says with a grin.

"I agree. Look at Ivy. I think someone is getting sleepy too." Jill says in a singsong voice while Ivy yawns.

"Big yawn. I swear, baby yawns are the cutest." Kamala says back in a happy tone of voice.

"Oh they sure are. I'm afraid to move her to her bassinet but I'm afraid she'll wake up." Jill says with a chuckle.

"She's spoiled and loves to be held, thanks to Doug." Kamala says as Jill chuckles.

"Well, I'll just hold her then. They aren't little like this forever." Jill says as she looks down at Ivy and Ivy is now fast asleep.

"Okay, let's get this party planning started. Well, we don't have to plan much, just looking at the guest list and other things." Kamala chuckles as she looks through the paperwork.

"I made the menu for the birthday party and sent it to the White House chefs, mostly kid friendly foods! And I showed you the boys smash cakes right?" Jill asks Kamala and Kamala nods.

"Yes! They are so cute! I love how simple they are. Perfect since the boys are going to devour them anyway." Kamala says with a grin.

"Well their big birthday cake is huge and complex so their smash cakes I figured make them simple." Jill says as she puts her glasses on with one hand, still holding Ivy.

"Looks like everyone RSVP'ed just about. Cindy McCain isn't on here though." Kamala says to Jill.

"Oh I have to call her! I told her the party might be moved due to Joe's covid diagnosis but we should be good now! If the party was moved she said she couldn't come because of it being John's death anniversary and she wanted to stay in Arizona for that." Jill says writing down a note to call Cindy.

"Gabby and Mark are bringing more people?" Kamala asks, seeing the note a staffer of Jill's wrote down.

"Yes, both of Mark's daughters and their granddaughter Sage are coming too. And Mark and Gabby are bringing Scott's twins as well because Scott and his wife are going on a vacation together. We have the room so why not bring more people to celebrate." Jill says happily.

"Four kids that are eight years old? Oh boy!" Kamala says as she chuckles.

"They will have their hands full, that's why Claudia and Claire is coming too!" Jill says with a chuckle as Kamala nods in agreement.

"Aww, Hillary and Bill are bringing the grandkids! I haven't seen them since February." Kamala says and Jill nods.

"Yes! And Huma's son Jordan is coming with them too. Huma is on a business trip and Jordan has been with Hillary and Bill." Jill says to Kamala.

"I'm sure Anthony's having a fit about that." Kamala says and Jill rolls her eyes.

"Well, you can't have a fit if you don't even wanna step up and be a dad. Jordan clearly doesn't like being with him but only goes because the court says so. I told Huma to have Jordan tell the court what he wants. He's old enough." Jill says and Kamala nods.

"You know Anthony will say Hillary and Bill are brainwashing Jordan." Kamala says to Jill.

"Oh I'm sure, but they love that boy just like he is their own, just like they do with Huma. Henry and Mia are coming too." Jill says as she writes something down.

"Thank you for reminding me, I gotta get an outfit for their wedding! And Ivy too. But I'm sure Ivy has something pretty enough for a wedding in her humungous wardrobe." Kamala says as chuckles.

"All of those dresses Ivy got? I'm sure one can work for a wedding! I need to get my outfit too. I just got Jacob a new little suit." Jill says as Kamala smiles.

"Devi got a nice little suit from Kerstin so he'll probably wear that. It's soooo cute." Kamala says to Jill.

"Mika and Joe are coming too! Speaking of them, we gotta get that baby shower moving along! Mika won't be able to travel much longer!" Jill says to Kamala.

"Oh, she's home from the hospital?" Kamala asks Jill as she gets a snack out of the fridge.

"Yes, thank goodness! No baby yet! They were able to stop the contractions and gave Mika lots of fluids. Joe was a wreck." Jill says to Kamala.

"And who can blame him? Mika lost her mother on July 22nd and it's been difficult her and Joe's families since. That's what led to her health scare. Elijah has been taking Bamba's loss especially hard. Joe said that Elijah's worried that when Kate goes off to college, she won't come back like Bamba didn't." Kamala says with a sad look on her face.

"Poor baby. He's not even two yet, and has gone through so much. That's why I have an idea." Jill says.

"What is it?" Kamala asks curiously

"How about we get small cakes for all the guests who's birthdays are in August? With all that happened in the Supreme Court back in June, I think this will bring some joy to everyone. Especially Elijah!" Jill says with a big smile.

"That's a great idea! Who's birthdays are all in August that are coming?" Kamala asks her.

"Here's the list of them all other than Devi and Jacob." Jill says as she shows her the list in the notes app on her iPhone:

"Wait a minute.....Bill and Tipper share a birthday? I guess I wasn't paying attention." Kamala says with a smile.

"Yup! He's just two years older than her. Whenever they could, Bill said that he and Tipper try to celebrate their birthdays together." Jill explains.

"So many cakes we need to get! And are you and Joe going to Penelope and Gus' birthday party?" Kamala says to Jill.

"Jakey and I will. Joe has a lot to catch up on due to his covid quarantines. But Jakey and I are definitely going!" Jill says to Kamala.

Doug and Devi will probably go since it's in Michigan and I'm not cleared to fly yet. Ivy and I will spend some girly time at home. But I want to be facetimed during presents and cake! Those babies have been through a lot and look at them now, happy and healthy." Kamala says as Jill nods.

Kamala's iPhone dings and it is a video from Mika and Elijah. Elijah is holding a teddy bear and has a few toys around him.

Mika: "Elijah, what do you say to Vice President Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff?"

Elijah: "Tank you!"

Mika: "We just got your big box in the mail full of Elijah's birthday presents! Thank you both so much! We can't wait to see you at Devi and Jacob's birthday party!"

"Kamala, you two are just too kind!" Jill says happily.

"Doug and I wanted to make Elijah happy after losing his grandmother. So with a little help from our Secret Service Agents, they're the best, we were able to put this together for him! It's what my mother would've done if she was here." Kamala says with a smile.

"He has gotten so big! My goodness, he's going to be taller than Mika by the time he's ten!" Jill says as she and Kamala look through the pictures Mika sent.

"That's what Mika said! He's 99% in everything." Kamala says with a chuckle.

Ivy begins to suck her thumb in her sleep causing Kamala to awe.

"Jill, I think we have a thumb sucker. She only really does it when she sleeps." Kamala says as she takes a picture.

"Aww, that's really cute. Jakey hasn't sucked his thumb in a while, thank goodness. But he still has a pacifier. I'm sure the media will say he's too old for one. He's still a baby!" Jill says as she admires Ivy and kisses her forehead.

"The media really pisses me off. Over analyzing everything. They still say we hate and despise each other." Kamala says to Jill.

"Oh you hate me so much that you are letting Jakey and I stay here while Joe quarantines! I know we had our spats in the past but I can honestly say you are like family to both Joe and I. We love you no matter what." Jill says as she rubs Kamala's arm and smiles.

"I know. I love you too. The entire Biden family. I'm happy to have a mother figure like you since my mom is gone. And I wouldn't wanna even imagine what she'd say to the media if she found out about these stories about our families hating each other....when we don't." Kamala says as she starts to rub Ivy's cheek with her finger.

"Based on what you told me and Joe about her, she didn't play around when it came to family." Jill says with a smile.

"Oh, she didn't! She was a fighter and fought for everyone she loved." Kamala says as she looks through the birthday party papers again.

"The media can talk about me and Joe all they want, we are fair game. But not my children. I'm so sick of everyone talking about Hunter, especially Republicans. They don't want to talk about Trump and have nothing on Joe, so Hunter is their target. Hunter is sober and so happy. I'm so proud of Hunter. And I'm getting close to suing these "news" places who think it's okay to talk about Jacob. Saying he's delayed, too small, this and that. Everybody wants to act like a pediatrician. Jacob's pediatrician has said Jacob is right on track with everything and he's just a smaller baby, just like Ashley was. It's frustrating. I know I'm an older mom, a way older mom, but that doesn't mean something is wrong with Jacob. I've worried about Jacob ever since I knew he existed. I probably over analyzed Jacob's development this past year of his life because I  didn't know I was pregnant with him and I did things I shouldn't have while pregnant. And the media loves to remind me of that." Jill says as she sighs.

"I understand. They love talking about Doug and I as well as Devi and Ivy. At the end of the day, you are still a mom to four beautiful kids. Including Beau, even though he's no longer here. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if he would've sued them himself for saying and publishing those false stories about Jacob and your family so you and Joe wouldn't have to." Kamala says to Jill.

"I truly think he would have. And a lot of the American people have come to our defense all over social media. Saying how happy Jacob has made the whole country since his surprise arrival last year." Jill explains.

"I think both of our boys and Miss Ivy have made everyone in this country very happy." Kamala says as she smiles and Jill smiles and nods in agreement

"Our miracle babies. They are such a joy." Jill says as she continues to rock and hold a sleeping Ivy in her arms.

"Oh, they sure are. I love being Devi and Ivy's mom. I didn't think I would ever want to be a mom but ever since being Cole and Ella's Momala I loved every minute of it and I kinda felt sad that I couldn't have my own children. But I was wrong, I had these two miracles back to back!" Kamala says as she kisses Ivy's head before looking in the living room where the boys are still fast asleep on the living room floor.

"So here's what we have planned for the party other than the food. We already got the theme set. It's a Hawaiian themed Disney Luau!" Jill says happily, showing Kamala the birthday party paper work.

"I cried when you told me the theme back in July since that's where Doug and I will be going for our birthday, anniversary and family vacation in October." Kamala says with a smile on her face.

"Exactly. I'm giving my grandbabies a preview of what's to come. Hawaii is a beautiful place and our family has traveled there several times. I know there is usually isn't a dress code for kids birthday parties, but we really want this to be special. All the partygoers are gonna be wearing Hawaiian clothes. Shirts, dresses, everything!" Jill answers back

"I love it. I'm just hoping the boys don't mess up their birthday outfits when they smash their cakes." Kamala says nervously.

"Well, they're gonna take pictures with their birthday cakes as we sing happy birthday to them. And then we'll take the shirts off so they don't get covered in cake and frosting." Jill says, making the two of them laugh.

"Maya found Ivy an adorable little outfit for the birthday party! I hope it fits her. Ivy is itty bitty so it might be a little too big!" Kamala says in a babyfied voice at Ivy.

"She's already looks so much bigger to me! I just can't believe she is almost two weeks old. And if it's too big, we can make it work." Jill says as she smiles down at Ivy.

"Me either! It doesn't feel that long ago she was still in my belly." Kamala says Jill.

"All of my grandchildren will be at the boys' birthday! I'm so excited for that because it's hard to get everyone together! We definitely need to get a group picture! All of my sisters will be there as well as Joe's sister and brothers. I don't think all of our nieces and nephews will be able to come sadly but that's okay, there's always next time." Jill says as Kamala nods.

"My uncle and aunts from India are coming! Sharada texted me last night their flight information to tell Secret Service. Doug's parents, brother and sister are coming as well!" Kamala says happily.

"Aw, how exciting! I know Doug's family doesn't get to come to Washington often and the same with your family in India. This is going to be a special day! A full house of people who love our boys!" Jill says with a big grin.

"A full house for sure! I'm sure Republicans are going to have a fit because they will make it political. Ugh!" Kamala says on some annoyance about Republicans.

"Screw them. With Republicans, I just don't get it. Causing a bunch of culture wars based on nonsense." Jill says with an annoyed look on her face.

"Seriously, they ruin all of the fun!" Kamala says to Jill.

"It'll also be the first time in years that all the living Presidents, VP's, and their spouses will be at the same place!" Jill says excitingly.

"Wait. All of them?" Kamala asks curiously

"Yup! Here's the list of current and former first and second couples who are coming. Not including us." Jill says as she shows her on the notes app on her iPhone again.

Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter, Dan and Marilyn Quayle, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Al and Tipper Gore, George and Laura Bush, Dick and Lynne Cheney and Barack and Michelle Obama.

"Wow! We're gonna have to take a few group picture of all of us, that's for sure. Are George and Laura bringing their grandkids?" Kamala asks Jill.

"Yes! Mila, Poppy, little Hal, and baby Cora. She'll be a year old in September and Jenna, Barbara and their husbands, Henry and Craig, are getting a much needed break." Jill answers back with a smile on her face

"Another baby friend for Devi and Jacob to meet! Keeping up with all these kids is gonna be a challenge." Kamala says with a chuckle.

"Yes it will. But we'll all help each other out. That's what Americans do." Jill says with determination.

"Right. I also saw that you invited Dick and Lynne's Cheney's daughter Liz along with Adam Kinzinger, his wife Sofia, and their baby boy Christian. Adam and Liz have been through a lot the past year and a half. Both of them had been getting lots of threats because of them voting to impeach the former guy and serving on the Jan. 6 committee." Kamala says to Jill.

"Yup! With Liz's primary election coming up on the 16th, I figured she could use this as a chance to wind down, have some fun, and just be herself before going into the home stretch. As for Adam, I want them to be here in a safe space where the three of them know that they are loved. Especially with all the threats they've gotten." Jill says.

"I've also seen pictures of Christian on Twitter and Instagram. He's so cute! Also, I don't agree with Liz's views on a lot of things, but I hope she does win her primary because the Republican Party has gone absolutely crazy! The fact that Adam isn't running for re-election is a great shame, but he's putting his family first and I admire him for that." Kamala says smiling, causing the two ladies to giggle.

"We need to get some Republicans on our side but it's hard now a days. But I hope after the midterms they figure out that supporting him isn't a good decision." Jill says and Kamala and Kamala nods. 

"Ugh, tell me about it. The senate votes are so tiring having to break all of them." Kamala says as she drinks some orange juice.

"Can I have some orange juice too?" Jill asks Kamala and Kamala nods in agreement.

"Of course! I know your hands are tied due to a cute reason." Kamala says as Jill smiles.

"Thank you so much. Ivy sleeps through anything!" Jill says, kissing Ivy's head again.

"Oh, she does! Devi did too!" Kamala says, handing Jill her orange juice.

"Jakey did for the most part but sometimes the dogs barking woke him up." Jill says as she drinks her orange juice.

Devi and Jacob begin to wiggle around in their sleep.

"I think they are waking up." Kamala says with a big smile.

"Aww, one year old sleep regression is coming our way!" Jill says with a chuckle.

"Don't remind me." Kamala says playfully as the boys finally begin to wake up from their short nap.

Devi and Jacob both begin to sit up on the living room floor and rub their eyes, trying to wake up.

"Mama. Mama." Devi says sleepily as he reaches for his mom.

Kamala smiles at Devi as she walks over to him and Jacob.

"Hi, baby! Hi, sweet boy! Did you take a nice nap? It was a short nap, huh?" Kamala asks Devi as she picks him up and cuddles him close to her.

Devi hugs Kamala back and lays his head on her shoulder while Kamala rubs his back.

Jill smiles at Devi and Kamala together, thinking the sight is beautiful.

"Aww, he loves his Mama." Jill says as Kamala smiles and nods proudly.

"I think he's a Mama's boy." Kamala says with a chuckle and a big smile.

Just then, Jacob begins to crawls over to the kitchen over to Jill.

"Hey, buddy! Hey! How was your sleep? Do you see Ivy?" Jill asks her almost one year old.

"Aaaa! Ma Ma!" Jacob says with a big smile.

"Yeah! I'm your Mama! Do you wanna see Ivy?" Jill says to Jacob in a babyfied voice as she wrangles Jacob and sits him in her lap while she holds Ivy.

"You are a pro, Jill! I need to learn how to hold Devi and Ivy at once!" Kamala says with a grin.

"You'll learn! I learned this skill when my twin sisters were born!" Jill says with a chuckle.

"Ma Ma." Jacob says as he hugs Jill and holds onto her Beau necklace.

"Yes, sweet boy. Are you still sleepy? I know, sleep regression is hard. But you will sleep good tonight." Jill says, kissing Jacob's head.

"Ma ma, eeee." Jacob says as he touches Ivy's little foot.

"Yes, that's Ivy! Be gentle, okay? She's sleeping, shhh." Jill says softly to Jacob.

"Eeeeeveee!" Devi says as Kamala smiles.

"Devi! Inside voice, sweety. Your baby sissy is sleeping. We don't wanna wake her up." Kamala says softly to Devi while shushing him.

"Oooo." Devi says while covering his mouth with his hands.

Ivy then yawns and finally wakes up, wondering what the heck is going on around her.

"Hi, Ivy. Did you have a good nap?" Jill asks as she kisses her on the forehead.

After a minute, she ultimately opens her eyes, staring at her brother and mother.

"Look, Devi. Ivy is staring at you. Can you say hi?" Kamala asks her son.

"Hi, Eeevee." Devi says softly as as he holds his sisters' hand.

Just then, Ivy squeaks and scares herself, causing her to cry and Devi to frown over his sister being sad.

"Awwww, Ivy. Did you scare yourself? You're okay baby. Shhhhh shh shhh." Jill says as she bounces Ivy in her left arm.

After about a minute, Ivy does calm down.

"There you go, baby girl. You're okay." Kamala says as she holds her finger out and Ivy grabs it, causing Kamala to smile and kiss her sweet daughter.

After a couple diaper changes after nap time, Jill and Kamala decide to call Joe to see how he's doing and so the boys and Ivy can see him.

"Do you boys want an afternoon snack?" Jill asks the boys.

"Aaaaa!" Jacob says with a smile.

"Ba Baa!" Devi says, clapping his hands.

"Here Mama, you can hold Ivy now. I'm a baby hog, I know." Jill says with a chuckle as she hands Ivy back to Kamala.

"Aw, it's totally fine! You need your baby cuddles too!" Kamala says with a grin.

Kamala smiles at Ivy and begins to feed Ivy a bottle. Kamala hasn't been breastfeeding often due to her beast hurting from her milk coming in fast.

Jill begins to pour some goldfish into little baby cups for the boys and Jill's iPhone begins to ring. It's Joe wanting to FaceTime Jill.

"Look, Devi! It's Pop! Look, Jakey, it's your Daddy!" Kamala says as she swipes up to answer the call.

"DA DA!" Jacob says as he gets excited.

"POP!" Devi says as he shakes his snack cup happily.

"Hey boys! Hey! I miss you two sooo much! Where's your Mommies and Ivy?" Joe asks Jacob and Devi.

"She's being fed a bottle right now by me. You wanna see her?" Kamala asks him.

"Yes, please. I wanna see the little princess." Joe answers back with a smile on his face.

Kamala turns the iPhone near her so Joe can see Ivy who is sitting in Kamala's arms, drinking her bottle.

"Hi, princess. Look at you wide awake and trying to hold your bottle! Sweet girl, you were hungry, huh?" Joe says as he watches Ivy in awe.

"She is a hungry girl! Jill has held her all day while I did some work and cleaning. Best Nana." Kamala says with a proud big smile.

"Da da!" Jacob says with goldfish in his mouth and on his face.

"Yes, Jakey! I see you! Are you having fun? Daddy, Commander, Willow and Major miss you and Mommy so much." Joe says to Jacob and Jacob smiles.

"Pop!" Devi says as he tries to grab the iPhone but Kamala stops him.

"Hi, Devi! Are you and Jakey eating some goldfish? Mmmm!" Joe says with a smile.

Jill then walks over and smiles at Joe and Joe's face lights up in happiness.

"Hi, Joe!" Jill says while waving at the camera.

"Hi, Jilly! How are you two holding up over there. Not causing any trouble, right?" Joe asks playfully.

"We are good and not causing any trouble!" Jill says with a giggle.

"She has been such a huge help! I'm going to miss Jill and Jakey when they go back home." Kamala says as she kisses Ivy's head.

"Well, I test tomorrow so hopefully I'm negative again. I don't have any symptoms." Joe says to Kamala with a grin.

"Jakey and I just miss you, Willow, Major and Commander." Jill says to Joe.

"And all four of us miss you two very very much." Joe says to Jill.

Jacob and Devi both begin to babble loudly causing Joe to chuckle.

"Looks like most of the goldfish are on the table or on the floor." Joe laughs with a smile.

Jill and Kamala both chuckle and try to clean up all of the goldfish that the boys haven't eaten.

"Figures. Toddlers are messy! Did everyone who we sent an invitation to RSVP?" Joe asked Jill.

"For the most part, Yes. But just to be sure, we are giving everyone until this Tuesday so we can get a good head count. Speaking of which, I have to call Cindy McCain." Jill says to Joe.

"No need to. I'm one step ahead of you Jilly. I called her earlier today and she's a yes! She'll be at the party and already booked a flight. The same one Mark Kelly's family will be on actually!" Joe says happily

"Joe, you are the best. I know August is a rough one for Cindy and her family with John's birthday and the anniversary of his death at the end of the month." Jill says with a frown on her face.

"Right. I figured since she's home right now, this is her chance to see everyone that she didn't get the chance to see before leaving for her US ambassadorship abroad." Joe says while smiling at the camera.

"I agree! Hey Joe? Did you call all the people who are going to be dressed up as the Disney characters?" Kamala asks Joe.

"I did. And there's a bunch of games and activities for the kids the four of us discussed earlier in the week. It's gonna be fun and I also have a another game idea: Tug of war!" Joe says with a smirk on his face.

"You just love competition, right Joe? What the heck are you plotting?" Kamala asks curiously as Ivy finishes her bottle.

"Anyone will be able to join. But I was also thinking about a challenge. Since we have all the Preisdents, VP's and their spouses coming, I was thinking us Male Presidents and VP's vs. You and all the first and second ladies. Except for Jimmy and Rosalynn. What do ya say ladies?" Joe says with an mischievous smile across his face.

"Oh, it's on!" Kamala says with a chuckle.

"Joe, we need to get a picture of all of the grandkids together! I know we'll probably get one during our vacation but this group picture will have Cole, Ella, Amara, Leela, Devi and Ivy." Jill says to Joe.

"We will, baby. We will. I just can't believe our boys are going to be one. Time goes by so fast." Joe says as Devi and Jacob babble to each other.

"You don't have a secret baby in you now Jill do you?" Kamala asks playfully.

"No! Thank goodness! There is zero chance of that ever happening again. One secret baby is enough. I'm just so thankful he is healthy and happy." Jill says as she smiles down at Jacob.

"Ma Ma!" Jacob says with a big smile.

"Yes, sweet boy. I'm your Mama." Jill says as she smiles at Jacob.

"Ma Ma!" Devi says to Kamala, tugging on her arm.

"Hi, baby. Are you copying Jakey? Mama loves you so much." Kamala says to Devi and Devi smiles.

"He smiles just like Doug. I love it!" Joe says with a smile.

All of a sudden, they hear someone knocking at the door so Kamala goes to check it out while holding Ivy.

"Who is it?" Kamala asks playfully.

"It's the Second Gentleman of the United States. Also known as your husband and Devi and Ivy's dad." Doug playfully answers back.

"Hi, honey! You are home." Kamala says happily to Doug, kissing him twice.

"I am home! I did all of our errands like a good husband." Doug says playfully and Kamala smiles.

Ivy begins to coo in Kamala's arms and Doug smiles at Ivy.

"Hi, baby girl. Daddy missed you while I was out." Doug says in a babyfied voice at Ivy and Ivy looks up at her Daddy, cooing some more.

"Do you want Daddy to hold you? I'm sure you do." Kamala says, handing Ivy over to Doug.

"Well, isn't that cute?" Jill says as she uses Kamala's phone to take a picture of Doug and Ivy.

"Well, what did you do and get while running all those errands honey?" Kamala asks her husband.

"Just got some food and a few other household things we need." Doug says to Kamala, kissing her again.

"Dada!" Devi yells loudly.

"Hi, buddy! Hey! Are you, Nana and Jakey having fun?" Doug asks Devi and Devi giggles.

"Hello!" Joe says to Doug through the phone.

"Hey, Joe! How are you?" Doug says as he sits where Kamala was sitting with Ivy and Kamala sits between the boys and Jill.

"Bored out of mind!" Joe says chuckling.

"You poor thing. Those rebound cases are not fun." Doug says with a frown on his face.

"You're right. They're not. I'm just glad that I don't have any symptoms like I did when I first tested positive before Ivy was born." Joe says with a sigh.

"Exactly. Oh, and I did buy some more things for party decorations. I'd rather have too much than not enough." Doug says as he shows what he got.

One by one, Doug holds up each other with his free hand and explains why he bought it.

Devi, Jacob, Kamala, Jill and Joe all watch on happily.

And lastly, he shows some cute outfits for Ivy that he just had to buy!

"Looks like Ivy is a princess with all of these outfits!" Joe says with a big smile.

"You were the same way with Ashley!" Jill says playfully to Joe and Joe smiles.

"I forgot how fun little baby girl clothes are. Baby boy clothes are fun too for Devi. Ella is making Devi and Ivy some outfits by the way." Doug says to everyone.

"She's so creative! To think that she already has her own clothing line and it probably won't be long until she has one for baby clothes. Just take my money!" Kamala says happily, causing everyone to laugh.

Ivy then starts to coo over hearing her big sisters' name.

"Are you cooing about your big sister? She is busy making you and Devi clothes and she loves you both sooo much." Doug says to Ivy.

"Ellwa!" Devi says as he claps his hands.

"Aaaa!" Jacob says happily.

"It seems that the boys are also excited. Ella and Cole are coming to your birthday party! Yeah! So are Ashley and Hunter!" Jill says excitingly.

"Beau, Joey, Melissa, Eugenia, Bonny, Howard and so many others!" Joe says happily.

"Have you talked to Mika's Joe? You two were suppose to do this baby shower for Mika! Don't make me take over the planning!" Jill says playfully.

"We haven't forgotten! Joe and I also got some extra sets of hands. Melanie, Susan, and Tipper are also on the planning committee! The former two are Joe's ex-wives. And they say that exes can't get along." Joe says with a big smile on his face.

"Oooo, that's exciting! And yes, that's totally true. If there's anything I learned from Tipper and I being friends over the years, she loves to plan and throw great parties for anyone!" Jill says to Joe.

"A few of Mika's friends are helping too! It's going to be fun! I just hope she can travel for it. We are planning sometime in September. We need to make up some event that the news media wants to attend and that's how we will get Mika and Joe in Washington." Joe says with a chuckle.

"We will figure something out. And she should be fine to travel up until the end of September unless her doctor says other wise." Jill says to Joe with a grin.

"Right. I think she'll be ok to travel. It'll also be fun for Elijah because this'll be a celebration for his baby sister! I think he'll be a good big brother." Kamala says while looking at Ivy before giving her a kiss.

"I agree. He got along with all the kids at our baby shower for Ivy. He'll be just fine. Based on the pictures Joe and Mika post on social media, he loves his sister already." Doug says with a smile.

"He has great big brothers and sisters to teach him too! I'm just excited to plan another party, I've become a party planner since being in the White House it seems!" Jill says with a chuckle.

"Aaaaa!" Jacob yells as he smiles ear to ear.

"Yes? Are we not giving you enough attention, Jakey?" Joe says playfully to Jacob.

Devi and Jacob giggle at each other as they hug each other.

"Those two are definitely best friends!" Kamala says as she takes a picture of the two boys.

"You're planning more parties now than you did as Second Lady." Doug says to Jill.

"Oh for sure! Planning baby showers, weddings and now a birthday party!" Jill says as she kisses Jacob and Devi's heads.

"Hey, Jakey! Are you ready for our family vacation to South Carolina next week?" Joe asks his son with a smile.

"Aaaaaaaa!" Jacob screams happily!

"You're gonna turn a year old during the our vacation! Yeah!" Jill says in a babyfied voice while tickling her son.

"Do you guys need babysitters for the pets?" Doug asks Jill and Joe.

"No, all of them are coming with us! But thank you for asking, we appreciate it." Jill says with a grin.

"Aaaaa!" Devi screams happily.

"What silly boy?" Kamala says as she tickles Devi.

"I think he just wants some attention. You wanna see your sister, Devi? Huh?" Doug asks his son.

"Eeeveee!" Devi says as he points at his sister.

"That's right. It's Ivy!" Kamala says happily as Ivy opens her eyes, looking at her brother.

Kamala decides to take a picture of the cute moment.

"Joe? Are you already packed for our family vacation. Thankfully, I decided to pack Jacob's bags and mine once we were home after your negative test before we went to Delaware again for a few days after your rebound case." Jill asks her husband.

"Yup! During this time I've been isolating, I've been packing so I wouldn't put it off until the last minute. Like your students do with their assignments sometimes." Joe answers back playfully, causing Kamala and Doug to giggle.

"I'm excited to have Hunt, Melissa, Ashley, Howard, the kids, Hallie and all of the kids together. Hallie is bringing her boyfriend and his three kids too. I'm not she if Kathleen is able to come!" Jill says to Joe. 

"I talked to Finn and Maisy about that. Kathleen is coming. Especially since the boys' party is right after our family vacation. She's not missing either of these!" Joe says with a smile

"Yay!" Jacob says while clapping is hands.

"Yay! You love Kathleen don't you? You love Kathleen, Hallie and Melissa soooo much!" Jill says with a grin.

"Mama!" Jacob says happily as he reaches his arms out. Wanting a hug from his mama.

"Come here, sweety." Jill says as she picks her son up without question. Giving him a big Lois on his cheeks

"As if I couldn't love Jilly any more than I do." Joe says with a smile.

"I love you too!" Jill says as she blows a kiss to her phone

Kamala then gets a text message from niece, Meena. It's video of Amara and Leela wearing outfits and holding two teddy bears Kamala bought for them.

Meena: "You two look so cute in your outfits! What do you say to Auntie?"

Amara and Leela: "Thank you!"

Kamala's text message response: "You're welcome. Can't wait to see you all next weekend for the party! 🥳"

Meena "Yes! See you then! 😘"

"Gosh, I love my nieces!" Kamala says with a smile

"And so do I. Based on what she told me, her, Nik, and the girls can't wait to meet Ivy face to face." Doug says while looking down at his daughter.

"Aww, I'm sure they are excited to have a new friend! I love they love and adore Jacob and Devi." Joe says with a smile.

"They sure do! They love these boys!" Kamala says as she bounces Devi in her arms and Devi giggles.

Jacob smiles at Jill as he plays with Jill's necklaces.

"Beau!" Jacob says as he points at Jill's Beau necklace.

Jacob has finally learned how to say Beau causing Jill to smile and tear up.

Joe also tears up but he keeps it together.

"Yes, this is Mommy's necklace for your big brother Beau. He loves you." Jill says, kissing Jacob's cheek and Jacob babbles.

"Sometimes I see him and Devi crawling towards something or looking in a certain direction and no one's in front of them. I wonder if it's Beau and and my mom's spirit playing with them?" Kamala asks with a questionable look on her face.

"I think Jacob sees Naomi and Beau, I really do. Jacob looks next to him like someone is sitting next to him playing and I feel that could be Naomi playing with him. And then when Jacob looks up and smiles and giggles I think it's Beau." Joe says with a grin.

"They always say babies and young children see the dead. Ella did and it scared Kerstin and I to death! Someone must have died in our home and she kept telling us about the person." Doug says as Ivy coos. 

"Hi, Ivy? Do you see Nani? She loves you and your brother so much!" Kamala calmly says as she takes Ivy's bonnet off and rubs her head full of hair.

"Well, I'm gonna let you all go and just get some more rest before our vacation next week. Jacob? Stay out of trouble and be a good boy for mama. Okay?" Joe says to his son.

"Aaaaa Dada!" Jacob says to Joe as he waves at Joe.

"Ba ba ba Pop!" Devi says to Joe happily.

"Bye Joe! Talk to you tomorrow for the briefing!" Kamala says with a big grin.

"Bye Joe! Say bye bye to Pop, Ivy!" Doug says as he waves Ivy's little hand.

"Bye, sweety. I love you. I'll call you later." Jill says as she blows a few kisses to Joe.

"I love you too, baby." Joe says with a smirk.

And with that, the FaceTime call comes to an end.

"Now what do you wanna do? Doug asks the two ladies.

"How about we all head outside? It's a gorgeous day and maybe at dinner time, we can have a picnic!" Jill suggests.

"Yayyyyy!" Devi and Jacob say happily.

Ivy decides to yawn again, totally not interested in what's happening around her.

For the rest of the day, Jill, Jacob, Kamala, Devi, Doug and Ivy all spend it together!

Jill, Kamala, and Doug head outside and enjoy the rest of their Saturday together. And after Joe tests negative for COVID the next day, the Biden's are able to travel to South Carolina. Officially starting their big family vacation! :)
