*Kamala, Doug and Devi all head to California to help Gavin Newsom during the recall election! Enjoy! Also, thank you to my best friend joebidenloving for helping me write this!*

September 8th, 2021

Right now, Kamala is packing Devi's diaper bag with extra outfits, extra diapers, extra wipes and extra bottles because she, Devi and Doug are heading to California to go to a rally to help out their close friend, California governor Gavin Newsom!

Gavin Newsom is currently in a recall election because republicans gathered enough signatures to trigger the recall process!

Kamala and Doug both sent in their mail-in ballots a few days ago since they are still California residents even though they live in DC right now!

After Kamala packs up Devi's diaper bag, jamming it full, she walks upstairs to get dressed and ready because the trio have to get to Air Force 2 in an hour!

Doug just gave Devi a nice and warm bath and he is now getting Devi dressed and ready to go!

Doug puts baby powder on Devi before he puts a diaper on Devi and then his outfit for the day which is a white onesie that says Vote with dark blue sweatpants!

"If all the raindrops were lemon drops and gumdrops, so what a rain that would be! Standing outside with my mouth open wide! Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah! If all the raindrops were lemon drops and gumdrops, oh what a rain that would be!" Doug says to Devi in a babyfied voice causing Devi to coo up at him.

Kamala walks into the room, dressed and ready for the rally!

"There are my two cute boys!" Kamala says in a babyfied voice at Devi and Doug with a cheeky smile.

"Hi, Mama!" Doug says as he picks up Devi and holds him, before he kisses Kamala twice.

"Hi, Daddy! You look very handsome today." Kamala says as she rubs Doug's face.

"And you look hot as always Mama." Doug says making Kamala blush and smile.

"Thank you. This will be my first big public appearance since having Devi. I'm a little self conscious." Kamala says softly as Doug hands Devi to her. 

"Don't be self conscious, love. You are beautiful to me, always have been and always will be." Doug says as Kamala smiles.

"Aww, thank you, Dougie." Kamala says as she holds Devi and smiles.

Devi coos at Kamala and Kamala smiles at her baby boy who is officially one month old today!

"Hi, baby! Hi! You look so adorable today! Yes, you do!" Kamala says as she kisses Devi's cheek softly.

Kamala, Doug and Devi slowly walk down the steps together with Kamala holding an awake Devi close to her chest.

"I gotta go get Devi's car seat. Secret Service always takes it out of the car." Doug says as he walks over to the back room where Devi's car seat is sitting and cleans it off even though it isn't dirty.

"Daddy is going to get your car seat, baby! Yes, he is! You are going on a big trip with Daddy and Mama today! Your first plane ride ever! Your first plane ride on Air Force 2!" Kamala says as Devi coos.

"Are you excited to go on your first ever plane ride? Are you? Are you?" Kamala says in a babyfied voice at Devi as she holds him up, looking him in his light brown eyes.

Devi coos again and looks at Kamala, causing Kamala to smile ear to ear at her baby boy.

"Yay! You are going to meet Gavin, Jennifer, Montana, Hunter, Brooklyn and Dutch! They all can't wait to meet you, baby boy!" Kamala says, kissing Devi's cheek.

Doug walks over to Kamala with Devi's car seat and Kamala hands Devi to him. Doug carefully buckles Devi into his car seat and Devi coos.

"Hi, buddy! Are you ready to go bye byes?" Doug asks Devi and Devi coos again.

"He is so alert now. I can't believe he is one month old!" Kamala says as she admires Devi.

"I know, he is growing up so fast." Doug says as he smiles up at Kamala and kisses her.

Kamala then looks outside and sees a SUV outside with Secret Service waiting for the trio to come outside.

"Looks like our Secret Service SUV is here. Let's her going!" Kamala says as she, Doug and Devi all go outside.

Doug holds Devi in his car seat with one hand and holds Kamala's hand with his other hand.

Kamala, Doug and Devi all get in the SUV and they head to the airport where Air Force 2 is!

Devi happily sits in his car seat, covered up with his gray blanket with polar beats on it and is getting a little sleepy.

"Someone is ready for a nap." Doug says as he covers up Devi's feet with the blanket so he doesn't get cold with the air condition being on in the SUV.

"Aww, he is. I really hope the time changes don't ruin his sleep schedule." Kamala says to Doug, worried that their wonderful sleeping newborn will have problems sleeping after traveling to DC to Cali and then Cali to DC.

"It will be alright, honey. This will be a quick trip to California and back to DC. We will be home soon and he will be able to get back to his schedule if he breaks it." Doug says to Kamala and caresses her knee lovingly.

"I am so excited to show him California for the very first time!" Kamala says and smiles at her baby boy who is on his way to falling asleep.

"It will be special, he gets to come home for the first time." Doug says, admiring Devi.

Devi's eyes buckle under to the tiredness and flutter close. Kamala and Doug both awe as Devi snores a light snore.

After a ten minute drive, Doug, Kamala and Devi have arrived to the airport where Air Force 2 is!

Kamala, Doug and Devi get out of the SUV together and Doug carries a sleeping Devi in his car seat.

Reporters happily take pictures of Doug and Kamala leaving the SUV and walking up to Air Force 2!

"Can we see Devi, Kamala and Doug?" A reporter asks with a cheeky smile.

"He is sleeping right now but he is doing great! Today he is one month old!" Kamala says with a proud smile at the reporter.

"All of you will see Devi at the rally for Gavin Newsom in a few hours! And Californians, be sure you vote! Mail in your ballots!" Doug says with a cheeky smile at the reporters before he, Devi and Kamala all walk up the steps and into Air Force 2!

"Now we are on the plane, little guy. Yes, we are." Kamala whispers to Devi, who still asleep as Doug fastens the car seat into a plane seat base.

"I hope his ears won't pop too much for him." Doug says, brushing his thumb over Devi's little cheek, before he sits down next to Kamala.

"He has his favorite pacifier and I'll nurse him if he wakes up. It will be alright honey." Kamala says as she smiles up at Doug.

Kamala loves how loving and caring Doug is with their son. He is the best father and husband ever in her opinion.

"Get ready for lift off." The pilot says over the speakers and Kamala and Doug buckle themselves in next to Devi.

Kamala takes Devi's little hand with her right hand and Doug's hand with her left.

"Let's do this." Doug says smiling at Kamala and Kamala smiles back.

"Our first flight with our baby boy." Doug adds and smiles at both Kamala and Devi.

"Let's go!" Kamala says smiling back at Doug happily.

"To infinity and beyond." Kamala jokes and Doug chuckles at her as they move off of the tarmac.

After Air Force 2 takes off and is in the air for a while, Kamala and Doug can unbuckle their seat belts.

"Devi is still asleep, that's good." Kamala says as she breathes a sigh of relief that Devi is taking the flight well.

"I told you he was going to be just fine. You can tell bow big he has gotten in his car seat. Look at his chubby cheeks." Doug says as he moves Devi's blanket from Devi's face.

Devi loves to have his blanket near his face which can be a scary thing with a baby.

"I know! At his one month appointment yesterday, he weighed nine pounds and is almost twenty one inches long! He also did very well when he got his shots. He will need to get some more when he is two months old." Kamala says and Doug nods, seeing how dedicated of a mom Kamala is.

"I wish I could have went in with you too." Doug says with a frown and Kamala frowns too.

"I know. I'm sorry about the rules but I'm glad I was able to FaceTime you during the appointment." Kamala says and Doug nods before Doug kisses her a few times.

"It's fine, love. I know we have to keep the other babies and kids at the pediatricians office safe." Doug says and Kamala nods.

"I'm hungry. We should eat a little something before we get to California." Kamala says and Doug nods.

"Me too. But we are getting In-N-Out too, right?" Doug asks and Kamala laughs.

"Duh! You know how bad I wanted In-N-Out when I was pregnant?" Kamala says playfully, making Doug laugh.

"If I could have gotten it for you, I would have got it for you, baby." Doug says with a cheeky grin

"Aw, I know you would have, honey. You can't fly with food so that's why Maya or Meena didn't bring me some. Which really sucks." Kamala says as Doug giggles.

"You will be able to make up for that now! And Devi will have his first taste too!" Doug says excitedly and Kamala laughs.

"You can't feed fast food to a one month old, silly." Kamala says and slaps Doug on the arm playfully

"I know that too, baby. I meant the milk. He'll at least get a happy Mama giving him the feeling and smells of In-N-Out." Doug says, chuckling at the thought of feeding Devi his own little burger and fries.

"You are a mess, Dougie!" Kamala says as she laughs and smiles at Doug.

"I'll go look and see if there are any sandwiches or salads or anything else to eat, honey" Doug says and kisses Kamala's hand.

"Okay, babe! Sounds good!" She smiles up at him

"Look and see if they have anything with chicken in it since we will eat beef later."  Kamala adds as Doug makes his way over to the flight attendant area.

A few minutes later, Doug brings over two chicken salad sandwiches over with some chips and waters.

"Mmm, that looks yummy! Thank you, Dougie." Kamala says softly to Doug as he kisses him.

"You're welcome! I love you." Doug says, sitting  across with Kamala.

"I love you too!" Kamala says with a smile.

Kamala and Doug both begin to eat their lunch together while Devi slept.

"Jennifer texted me and told me that Montana, Hunter, Brooklyn and Dutch are so excited to meet Devi." Kamala says causing Doug to awe.

"Aw, that's so cute! I'm glad we get to see them for a little bit! I wish we could stay longer then a few hours." Doug says to Kamala.

"I know! But hopefully if Covid isn't so bad we can be with family either in DC or California." Kamala says to Doug with a smile.

"Hopefully your aunts and uncle from India can come visit soon. I know you really want them to bond with Devi." Doug says as he opens the packaging around his sandwich and Kamala looks at him with soft eyes

"I know, I want Devi to feel connected to all parts of his heritage." Kamala says and looks over at Devi.

Devi is still peacefully asleep in his car seat. Something that pleases both Kamala and Doug. Doug can't remember plane flights with Cole and Ella as babies being this easy.

"He is a trooper! He is already used to all of the buzz and fuzz." Doug says, taking Devi's foot in his hand.

"He will have so many stories to tell his children and grandchildren about this time in his life" Doug adds and Kamala smiles.

"He sure will and so will the grandkids we will hopefully come our way." Kamala says and squeezes Doug's hand on the table.

"I'm sure Cole and Greenley will have a baby someday. They have to get married first! They have been dating longer than we have been married." Doug says with a chuckle at Kamala.

"Aw, Dougie! They will get married when they are ready! They don't want to rush into anything which is good!" Kamala says with a smile.

"And I don't know if Ella wants any kids. If she doesn't that's fine, that's her choice and I respect it." Doug says and Kamala nods in agreement.

"As do I. I didn't think I would have a baby and now look at me! Vice President of the United States and a mom!" Kamala says with some sass and Doug smiles.

"And your killing it, baby." Doug says snapping his fingers in rhythm with his words and Kamala chuckles at him.

"I'm not doing it alone." Kamala responds to him as she finishes her sandwich with a smile.

"How about we get some sleep in too while Devi sleeps?" Kamala asks Doug and Doug nods in agreement.

"That'll be good, if he continues like this he will be up all night, so it's probably for the best." Doug says and they both stand up and unfasten Devi's car seat and they all go to their bedroom area.

"Let's get some sleep in." Kamala says as she lays down on the bed and Doug lays down beside her. 

Doug holds her at her waist as they both drift off to sleep. With a schedule like theirs and a little baby, it's hard to get as much sleep as needed into their daily routine.

After a few hours of flying, Doug, Kamala and Devi are now in California!

Kamala is currently in the rocking chair and she is breastfeeding Devi before the event!

"Are we in California yet, baby?" Doug says softly as he gets up out of bed.

"Mhm! We are getting ready to land. You slept for a long time. Someone was sleepy." Kamala says as she smiles at Doug before smiling down at Devi who is now finished nursing.

Kamala puts Devi on her shoulder and she begins to burp him.

"This boy is definitely going through a growth spurt! He nursed for thirty minutes." Kamala says to Doug as she continues to softly burp Devi.

"That's good baby, I want you to grow up to be Daddy's big, strong boy!" Doug says and smiles at Devi.

"But not too fast! No baby, you'll be mama's little baby for a long time, yes you will!" Kamala says in a babyfied voice as Devi burps on her shoulder calling him a good boy and softly rubs his back.

Kamala, Doug and Devi all walk out of Air Force 2 and onto the tarmac where they meet with local leaders who have come to welcome them home to California.

Kamala, Doug and Devi all load up in another SUV and the Vice President motorcade, heading to the event for Gavin Newsom.

"We haven't seen Gavin since when? Before Devi was even made?" Doug asks playfully and Kamala laughs.

"Yeah! I saw him in October of last year, right before the election. We looked at wild fire damage." Kamala says as Devi wiggles his little feet in his car seat.

"We should have gotten some cute converse on him!" Doug says with a grin.

"They don't make them that small I don't think." Kamala says, frowning a little.

"Once his feet are big enough we will definitely get him a pair!" Doug says as Kamala smiles ear to ear.

"Do you have headphones for him? It's going to be loud at the rally." Kamala says and Doug nods, holding up a pair of headphones they are almost bigger than Devi's head.

"They're so big, there wasn't a baby edition?" Kamala asks Doug, wondering how they will be able to have the headphones stay on Devi's head.

"No, baby. Most one month olds aren't being on stage at a major political rallies, you know." Doug says and chuckles a bit.

"I know, baby. I'm just worried they will fall off, that's all." Kamala says as their car starts to drive towards the event.

"It will be fine. I'll hold him and his headphones in place while we are up on stage." Doug says, brushing his hand across Kamala's on the seat.

Their motorcade pulls up at the event, a large crowd has gathered and they are already fired up.

Devi looks up at his Mama and coos, almost as if he knows what's about to happen. He's the product of a night with a rally like this after all.

Once the motorcade is parked, Kamala, Devi and Doug all get out of the car and walk over to a tent that is close by to the podium where Gavin is talking with Jennifer by his side.

"Are you excited, baby? Are you excited to see some fans?" Kamala asks Devi in a babyfied voice making Devi coo.

Doug smiles and wraps his hands protectively around both Kamala and Devi.

One by one, Kamala, Devi and Doug all listen to each of the speakers speak about Gavin!

Jennifer, Gavin's wife goes up to the podium and talks about Kamala! Jennifer is happy that there is FINALLY a female Vice President and that two of her girls have a role model to look too!

Jennifer also says that Kamala is a wonderful friend! Devi coos happily, causing Kamala and Doug to smile.

"Jennifer is talking about Mama! Yes, she is!" Doug says in a babyfied voice at Devi as Devi looks up at Kamala and Doug.

A few more speakers come up to talk about Gavin before Gavin goes on stage to speak to the crowd.

Gavin begins to talk about his values and what he wants to accomplish after the recall, as well as talking about republicans bullcrap.

"You have to go with Daddy, okay? I have to go on the stage and talk about Gavin." Kamala says softly to Devi as she hands Devi to Doug.

Doug holds Devi close and places the green headphones on Devi's ears before the crowd gets loud.

"California! This race matters! I am proud now to introduce to you, my friend, your friend, someone you all know well, your home town hero, the Vice President of the United States of America, Kamala Harris!" Gavin says as everybody cheers as Kamala walks over to him!

The crowd cheers loudly as Gavin and Kamala hug each other tightly on stage and wave to the crowd.

Kamala then walks up to the podium and she waves at the crowd before she starts her speech.

"It's so good to be home! I was flying in, landed in Oakland, flying over the bay! My area! It is so good to be home and to have my son be here for the very first time!" Kamala says as Doug walks on stage with Devi in his arms.

The crowd roars loudly as they see Doug and Devi together. Doug waves at everyone and also waves Devi's little hand. Devi looks at the crowd in confusion but remains happy in his Daddy's arms.

"So Doug, Devi and I landed in Californiaa short time ago and I'm here for one purpose, I came home for one purpose. I always want to come home, especially being a mom now and having lots of family out here. But it was really important for Doug and myself to come home today. To stand and speak in support of my dear friend, my long standing friend, a great California leader, a great American leader Governor Gavin Newsom!" Kamala says as the crowd cheers loudly.

"I want to make sure that all of California understands how important this election is. It's important for the climate, to be able to prevent further destruction we need Gavin Newsom in charge! It's important for democracy, if we want a stable democracy, where every vote is counted we need Gavin Newsom in charge! And most importantly, it's important for our children, if we want our children to be able to grow up with a leadership that considers their needs, we need Gavin Newsom in charge!" Kamala continues, looking at Devi when she speaks about the children.

The crowd goes wild, chanting "Devi! Devi! Devi!" As Doug and Kamala smile bright.

"Do you hear that, little guy? They already love you!" Doug says to Devi, even though he knows his son can't hear them due to him wearing big bright green headphones to protect his ears.

Kamala keeps looking at Doug with Devi in his arms. If someone would have told her this fifteen years ago she wouldn't have believed them.

"We have one job California! And that is to vote NO on the recall and keep my friend Gavin Newsom as our governor! Thank you!" Kamala says, finishing her speech and looks to Doug, who is using Devi's little hands to applaud his mama.

Gavin and Kamala hug each other again and they wave at the crowd some before they all leave the stage.

"Look, Devi! There is Mama!" Doug says in a babyfied voice as he takes the headphones off of his ears.

Devi coos happily as Doug hands Devi to Kamala.

"Hi, baby! Hi! Did you have fun at your first rally?" Kamala asks Devi and he coos.

"This is Uncle Gavin! Yay!" Kamala says in a babyfied voice at Devi. 

"Hi, buddy! Oh my goodness he is the perfect mixture of you both!" Gavin says as he smiles at Devi and Devi stares at him, confused on who this new person is.

"He is his Daddy's twin! Yes, you are!" Kamala says to Devi in a babyfied voice as he coos.

Kamala hands Devi to Gavin to hold for a little bit! Devi looks at Gavin and Gavin smiles at Devi!

"Hi, squirt! Hi! You have four friends and an Aunt who want to meet you!" Gavin says as Devi coos.

Doug and Kamala smile at how happy Gavin is with Devi! Gavin always said Doug and Kamala would be great parents and now they are!

"Jennifer and the kids have been really wanting to meet him! That's one reason why the kids came to the rally!" Gavin says, causing Doug and Kamala to both chuckle. 

"Now they can!" Kamala says with a cheeky smile.

"I'm sorry we couldn't fly in to visit sooner!" Gavin says as he continues to hold Devi.

"It's no problem! You guys are busy!" Kamala says to Gavin and Doug nods in agreement.

Kamala, Doug, Gavin and Devi all walk over to where Jennifer, Montana, Hunter, Brooklyn and Dutch are standing!

"Oh, hi baby boy! Hiiii!" Jennifer says, bending down to look Devi in the eye.

"Sorry Kamala and Doug! Hi to you guys too!" Jennifer says apologetically when she greets Devi.

"It's fine, we know Devi is the big star now!" Kamala says and lays her arm around Doug's waist, Doug nods in agreement.

"Devi always gets greeted before us and that's totally fine!" Doug says with a giggle.

Gavin continues to happily hold Devi and Devi looks around at all of the new people.

"Come here kids, Devi wants to meet you all!" Kamala says to the children and motions for them to come forward.

"Devi has been secretly telling me he wants to meet you all week" Kamala whispers, still loud enough for everyone to hear and giggle.

"Hi, Auntie Kamala and Uncle Doug!" Montana, Hunter, Brooklyn and Dutch all say in unison to Kamala and Doug.

"Hey!" Kamala and Doug both say in unison with big smiles as they hug Montana, Hunter, Brooklyn and Dutch.

"We have a new friend who wants to meet you guys!" Gavin says as Devi coos and stares at the kids.

"Hi, Devi!" Montana, Hunter and Brooklyn all say in unison with big smiles at the one month old.

"HIIIIII!" Dutch yells loudly as he gets excited to see baby Devi.

"Inside voice, Dutch! We don't want to scare Devi." Jennifer says to her youngest child.

"He is soooo cute!" Montana says happily.

"Yes! Soooo cute!" Brooklyn says with a giggle.

"Devi so cute." Dutch says with admiring eyes as Gavin bends down to be at the same level as his youngest son.

"Yeah, he is very cute and a perfect little baby." Gavin says to Dutch with a smile.

Kamala and Doug awe as as Dutch carefully strokes Devi's hair.

"Good buddy, be careful" Jennifer says and strokes her son's hair.

"Can we hold him?" Montana asks Kamala and Doug and they both nod.

"Of course you can! But maybe you should sit down. Devi can get a little heavy to hold if he squirms around." Kamala says, looking around the room for somewhere to sit down.

"Over there, maybe." Doug says and points to two sofas in the corner of the room.

Montana and Brooklyn happily run over to the sofas to sit down and Jennifer joins them.

Gavin, Devi, Kamala and Doug all walk over and sit down on the other couch.

Hunter and Dutch happily watch on, smiling at the small baby in their dad's arms.

Gavin first hands Devi to Montana to hold since she was the first one to ask.

"Just keep his head up, there you go." Gavin says softly and Montana smiles ear to ear.

"He is so tiny!" Montana says giggling.

"He sure is! He is growing though! He is nine pounds!" Kamala says with a smile.

"Wow! He gained some weight! Chunky baby!" Jennifer says in a babyfied voice at Devi.

After Montana holds him for a few minutes, it's Brooklyn's turn!

"He soooo soft." Brooklyn says, feeling Devi's cheek against her arm.

"I know!" Montana says as she smiles.

"Look, he is opening his eyes." Jennifer says and all the girls awe at Devi's cute browneyes.

"Come over here boys and look at Devi." Gavin says to his sons with a grin.

Dutch and Hunter both walk over to the sofas and stand beside their sister Brooklyn, who is holding Devi.

"He's so tiny and cute." Hunter says and reaches his hand out to touch Devi's hair.

"He sure is, Kamala did a great job." Doug says, caressing Kamala's arms as he stands behind her with his head on her shoulder.

"I'm not the only one who deserves credit." Kamala says and turns around to kiss Doug on the cheek.

"You're too kind, baby." Doug says and gives Kamala a quick peck on the cheek before they both return their attention to Devi.

"I'm so glad you both came today!" Jennifer says, hugging Doug and Kamala.

"I know I wasn't suppose to come but I  didn't want Kamala traveling alone. Plus Devi is too little to be away from Kamala." Doug says to Jennifer.

"I know, I couldn't leave any of my kids until they were a few months old so I understand! He is just a little baby!" Jennifer says to Kamala and Doug.

"He is one month as of today!" Kamala says with a grin as Gavin hands Devi to Hunter next.

"How is Jill and Joe's baby doing?" Gavin asks Kamala and Doug.

"He is doing great! We just saw him yesterday! He is still small but he is growing and eating a lot so that's good." Kamala says with a grin.

"Devi and Jacob already had two play dates, but they slept the whole time." Doug says with a chuckle.

"It seems like they will be best of friends!" Kamala says and smiles at her baby laying in Hunter's arms.

"They sure will." Doug says, equally mesmerized with the beauty of his baby son.

"Do you want to hold Devi?" Gavin asks Dutch and he nods shyly.

"Don't be scared, buddy. I'll help you hold him." Jennifer says and pats for Dutch to sit down next to her.

Jennifer takes Devi from Hunter and places him in Dutch's lap, carefully holding up his neck and head.

"Look buddy, he's smiling at you." Jennifer says to Dutch as Devi smiles a little smile.

"He hasn't smiled much since he is learning! The first person he smiles for was Joe, then Doug and I, then Jill and now you Dutch!" Kamala says happily.

"Kamala and I came to California to help you Gavin but to get some In-N-Out!" Doug says making everybody laugh.

"I have been wanting it ever since I was pregnant with this little one and I still want it now!" Kamala says as she laughs.

"Well, you better get going then! The closest one from here closes in an hour and a half." Gavin says to Kamala and Doug.

"Of course you'd know! You little hamburger lover" Kamala jokes with Gavin and laughs.

"How could you blame me?" Gavin laughs at her comment and giggles.

"No one can! I love it just as much as you two!" Doug says with a big smile.

Jennifer moves Devi into her lap for a last hug before they have to go. Devi fusses a little and let's put a little cry.

"It seems like someone misses his Mama and Daddy" Jennifer says and stands up to hand Devi to Doug.

"Shh shh shh. It's okay, buddy. It's okay. Daddy is here." Doug says as he rocks Devi in his arms and Devi calms down instantly.

"It was so good seeing you all! Maybe you guys can fly to DC and visit!" Kamala says happily to Brooklyn, Dutch, Montana and Hunter.

"We will try to fly out! Maybe after the election!" Jennifer says with a cheeky grin.

"Joe is suppose to come in a few days. Is Jill and Jacob coming with him?" Gavin asks picking up Dutch.

"I don't think Jill wants to fly yet. She is still healing. And she doesn't want Jacob to get sick since he is a small little guy." Kamala says to Gavin.

"That makes sense! I know she had a big surgery to keep her and Jacob safe. She looks great and Jacob is a cutie!" Jennifer says as she hugs Hunter, Brooklyn and Montana.

"She really bounced back quick!" Kamala says as she strokes Devi's head as Doug hands him to her. 

"So did you! Look at you, Kamala! As beautiful as ever" Jennifer says, causing Kamala to blush.

"Thank you!" Kamala smiles at her good friend.

"Okay kids, it time for us to go now! Say goodbye to Aunt Kamala and Uncle Doug now!" Gavin says as they all stand up to leave.

"By Aunt Kamala, Uncle Doug and Devi!" Montana, Hunter, Brooklyn and Dutch all say in unison as they hug Doug and Kamala and wave a sleeping Devi goodbye.

"Bye, cuties! It was so good to see you all!" Kamala says giving the kids each a kiss.

"Bye! Thank you for being such good friends to Devi!" Doug says happily.

"You're welcome!" Montana, Hunter, Brooklyn and Dutch all say in unison.

Kamala and Doug both hug Jennifer and Gavin one more time before the trio gets back in the SUV to head to In-N-Out before leaving California!

Kamala, Doug and Devi all had a great time in California!
