Los Angeles, California

Doug, Kamala, Ivy and Devi are in California for the weekend to spend much needed time with their family because due to their busy schedules it can be difficult to get to California to see everyone!

Today is a special day for Doug, Kamala, Ivy and Devi because today they are meeting Cole and Greenley's baby!

Back in August at Devi and Jacob's first birthday party, Cole and Greenley announced they were expecting their first child together! The pregnancy wasn't planned since they just got engaged but everyone was ecstatic.

On February 28th, Cole and Greenley welcomed their first child together, Hudson Cole into the world! Hudson weighed seven pounds and was twenty inches long. Both Hudson and Greenley are happy and healthy!

This will be Kamala's second time meeting Hudson while it will be Doug, Devi and Ivy's very first time.

Last weekend (March 3rd-March 5th), Kamala was in California the for a fundraiser and a couple other events. They all took place on the 3rd and Kamala was in her home state for the rest of that weekend. Meaning she had the chance to meet Hudson while she was there!

Due to the Devi and Ivy being a bit under the weather the week Hudson was born, Kamala did not bring the kids with her and Doug stayed behind in DC with them. Pushing back the trip for Doug, Devi and Ivy to meet them by a week.

Thankfully, the kids were pretty much over their colds by Saturday. However, her and Doug wanted them to rest a little more before traveling to Denver, Colorado on March 6th. And especially wanted Devi and Ivy to be cold-free before they met Hudson.

Right now, Kamala, Doug, Devi and Ivy are in Air Force 2, waiting for everyone to get situated outside so they can leave and head to Cole and Greenley's place which is twenty minutes away.

Ivy is sitting on Doug's lap getting annoyed with he waiting while Devi is happily running around the airplane.

*Devi and Ivy's outfits*

"Did you take a nice nap, baby? Hmm?" Doug asks Ivy as he fixes her hair bow.

Ivy yawns and holds onto Doug, causing him to smile. He reminisces Ella doing the same thing when she was Ivy's age.

"I'm so glad you took a nap! And your ears didn't hurt you! That's good!" Doug says in a babyfied voice causing Ivy to giggle.

"VROOOOOOM! VROOOOOOM!" Devi yells as he runs around, attempting to sound like an airplane but instead sounds like a car.

"Woah! Are you a race car, Devi? Or are you trying to sound like an airplane?" Kamala asks Devi as she bends down, rubbing Devis cheeks before giving him a kiss.

"Pwane!" Devi says as he holds his arms out, acting like an airplane.

"Well, vroom vroom is a car usually! I'm not sure what noise an airplane makes but it's loud!" Kamala says as Devi giggles and smiles.

"Ba ba ba ba." Ivy babbles softly, causing Doug and Kamala to smile at her.

"Are you talking, sweet pea? Did you take a nice nap? I see you are cuddling with Daddy!" Kamala says, kissing Ivy's cheek before kissing Doug.

"She did take a nice long nap! Longer than her brother. And it seems like her ears aren't bother her so that's good!" Doug says, kissing Ivy's cheek.

"I'm so glad! I know the last trip we took was awful with both Devi and Ivy's ears." Kamala says, rubbing Ivy's back.

"Oh, it was! Now we know what to do to hopefully prevent it!" Doug says as Kamala nods.

"Uh oh!" Devi says out loud, causing Doug and Kamala to both look over at the toddler.

"Uh oh? Do you have a wet diaper? Let Mama see."
Kamala says as she checks Devi's diaper by looking on the back to see a blue line and sure enough Devi did go to the bathroom.

"Let's get you changed before we go in the motorcade to Cole and Greenley's house!" Kamala says, picking up Devi with a groan before taking him to the bathroom to get changed.

After getting both kids diapers changed, Kamala, Doug, Ivy and Devi all exit Air Force 2, with the press waiting for them.

"Madam Vice President! Congratulations on you and the Second Gentleman on becoming grandparents!" A woman from the press says.

"Thank you so much!" Kamala says, holding onto Devi's hand tight so he stays close by.

"Thank you!" Doug says as he waves at the press while holding Ivy.

Kamala, Doug, Ivy, Devi, their Secret Service agents and their motorcade all load up to drive the fifteen minute drive to Cole and Greenley's house!

Cole and Greenley's Home
Los Angeles, California

Cole, Greenley, Ella and Kerstin are all sitting in the living room, waiting for Kamala, Doug, Ivy and Devi's arrival!

Greenley has just finished feeding Hudson and is changing his diaper on the living floor room with her and Cole's two cats - Butter and Sugar!

"Good girls, Sugar and Butter. Good girls watching over Hudson." Cole says to the cats proudly.

"They are doing really well with Hudson!" Ella says, petting both cats causing them to purr loudly.

"They are! We followed a bunch of Instagram cat accounts about how to get cats ready for a new baby and everything they said worked!" Greenley says with a grin.

*Hudson's outfit*

"Your tummy is nice and full! Yes, it is! Yes, it is!" Kerstin says in a babyfied voice at Hudson as Hudson looks up at her.

"Mom, why are you talking like that?" Ella asks with some playful sass to Kerstin, causing Greenley and Cole to both laugh. 

"Because that's what you do with babies and little kids!" Kerstin says with some playful sass back at Ella.

"Ella, she talks to Devi and Ivy like that too." Cole says to Ella causing Kerstin and Greenley to both laugh.

- 20 Minutes Later -

Kamala, Doug, Ivy and Devi have finally arrived at Coke and Greenley's place!

Secret Service is standing guard around the house, making sure everyone is safe. 

"Mama! Da da!" Devi says, happily running in front of Kamala, Doug and Ivy.

"Yeah! We are here! This is Cole and Greenley's house!" Doug says with a big smile.

"Baaaa! Baaa!" Ivy says as she claps her hands and smiles ear to ear.

"Yeah, Ivy! We are here! Are you excited?" Kamala says on a babyfied voice at Ivy.

"Aaaa!" Ivy squeals and claps her hands and smiles.

"Me cited!" Devi says, jumping up and down happily.

"I'm excited too!" Doug says with a smile.

Just then, Cole opens the front door to greet Kamala, Devi, Doug and Ivy.

"Hey guys! Come on in!" Cole says with a grin.

"OLEY!" Devi yells, running over to Cole.

"Hi, Devi! And hi, Ivy! I see you two are spoiled rotten!" Cole says playfully as he hugs Devi and gives Ivy a kiss, causing her to smile.

"Hello, Coley! It is so good to see you! Fatherhood is really suiting you based on all of the photos and videos I've seen your mom and Greenley post." Kamala says proudly, hugging and giving Cole a kiss on the cheek.

"I'm loving it! We finally have a routine with Hudson, so it's been a lot easier." Cole says as he grins.

"It will get easier day by day! Trust me!" Kamala says with reassurance.

"Hey, son! Congratulations on being a dad! I am so proud of you and Greenley!" Doug says hugging Cole tight.

"Thank you, Doug! Well, come on in before Butter and Sugar try to escape! Butter did two days ago and me and Greenley lost it." Cole says as Kamala, Devi, Ivy and Doug all walk inside.

"Itty at! Itty at!" Devi yells in excitement.

"Yeah! Cole and Greenley have kitty cats, that's right. We have to be nice and soft with them, okay? Remember we are soft and gentle with Willow?" Kamala says and Devi smiles.

Cole, Kamala, Doug, Ivy and Devi all walk into the living room where Ella, Greenley, Hudson and Kerstin are waiting for them.

Butter and Sugar greet Kamala, Doug, Ivy and Devi with sniffs and purrs. Devi carefully pets the two cats which the cats do a pretty good job with since they haven't been near a toddler at all.

"Don't touch Kamala, kitties! She's allergic!" Kerstin says with worry, knowing Kamala is allergic to cats.

"I'll be okay, don't worry Kers! As long as they don't lick me I'm okay. Plus I took allergy medicine! I actually remembered this time." Kamala says as she chuckles.

Ella, Greenley and Kerstin all greet Kamala and Doug with hugs.

"Hi, Devi and Ivy!" Ella says holding her arms out wanting a hug from Devi and Ivy.

"Ellwa!" Devi says as he hugs Ella tightly.

"Hi! Wow you can say my name now!" Ella says to Devi and then at Doug and Kamala.

"Devi has been talking up a storm lately!" Doug says with a grin.

"Aaa!" Ivy babbles happily.

"Hi! Are you a Daddy's princess! Doug is always holding her." Ella says as Doug sits Ivy in Ella's lap.

"She's a Daddy's and a Pop's girl!" Kamala says with a big proud grin.

"Aww, that's so sweet." Kerstin says as Ella nods in agreement.

Kerstin then gives Devi and Ivy some kisses, causing both of them to giggle.

"Aww, Auntie Keke missed you two!" Kamala says with a smile, watching Doug's ex love on Devi and Ivy.

"I sure did! I'm so glad you two are here for a few days!" Kerstin says with a grin.

"Ya!" Devi says and Ivy claps her hands.

Greenley smiles as she picks up Hudson from his bassinet and slowly walks over to Ivy, Ella, Devi, Kamala, Doug and Kerstin.

Cole begins to film a special video of Hudson meeting his Grandpa Doug, Momala Kamala, Uncle Devi and Aunt Ivy.

"Gween!" Devi says happily, causing everyone to awe

"Hi, Devi! And hi, Ivy! Do you two wanna meet your baby nephew, Hudson?" Greenley asks Devi and Ivy in a babyfied voice, sounding motherly.

"Ba ba!" Ivy says with a big smile, causing everyone to awe once again.

"Yeah! Baby Hudson! Mama and Dad are going to hold him first but you can come see him!" Greenley says as she first hands Hudson to Kamala to hold.

"You can go and see the baby, Devi." Ella says as she helps Devi off of the couch and Devi walks over to the other couch Doug, Kamala and Kerstin are all sitting on.

"This sweet boy. Looks just like an Emhoff that's for sure." Kamala says, causing everyone to chuckle.

"Seriously! Those genes are strong!" Kerstin says as Devi climbs on her lap.

"Ivy, do you wanna see baby Hudson too?" Ella asks Ivy.

"Aaa!" Ivy babbles loudly.

"Come sit on Daddy's lap." Doug says to Ivy, patting on his lap so Ella sits her there.

"Ew, Doug. That sounds gross." Cole was playfully to his father,

"Right, Doug. Get a room!" Ella says as she pretends to act grossed out.

Kamala holds Hudson close for a few minutes before handing him to Doug to hold for the very first time.

"We need a picture of Devi, Doug, Cole and Hudson! Three generations!" Kerstin says as she gets her phone out and gets the camera app open after struggling a little.

"We need to get a picture with Mike too while we are out here! That's four generations, that is truly amazing!" Kamala says happily.

Kerstin takes a few pictures of Devi, Doug, Hudson and Cole for all of them to cherish.

"Ba ba!" Ivy says to Doug as she touches Hudson's face.

"Gentle, Ivy. Good girl. You are an Auntie now! Auntie Ivy." Doug says to Ivy with a grin.

"How does a baby even become an aunt." Ella asks out loud.

"Who knows!" Cole says throwing his arms up in the air.

"You two know how!" Kerstin says with some playful a sass at her children, causing Kamala and Doug to both laugh.

"It's cute though! Hudson has family members around his age." Greenley says as she films the special moment.

"Ba buy Hud don!" Devi says rubbing Hudson's head.

"Baby Hudson, that's right Devi! Be gentle. Gentle pats." Kamala says as she smiles at Devi and Ivy with Hudson.

"I hope this doesn't give you and Momala any ideas, Doug." Cole says playfully.

"No way! We are done! Momala said so!" Doug says as he looks at Kamala and Kamala nods, agreeing with Doug's statement.

"Two is plenty! Plus we usually have Jacob tagging along. Three under two is hard enough." Kamala says as she laughs loudly.

"Two miracles is what they are!" Kerstin says with Doug and Kamala both nodding in agreement as they watch Devi and Ivy interact with Hudson who is fast asleep.

For the rest of the day, Doug, Kamala, Ivy, Devi, Greenley, Cole, Hudson, Kerstin and Ella spent it together as a family! :)
