During the Summer Break

"1 month is over give me the progress report of their training." Diantha told Grant.

"It is not going as we had expected." Answered Grant

"What?? I expected more from them & even you." Said Diantha angrily.

Sycamore says "I am also disappointed."

"I was saying its better than we expected." Said Grant as he started giggling and Diantha & Sycamore started glaring at him.

"Grant I swear I was going to kill you but the matter of fact that their training is still pending has saved you alone." Said Diantha as Grant gulped.

"Wulfric what do you say about Ash Ketchum's Training?? Asked Sycamore

Wulfric replied "I only want to say professor that I want a hike in my salary. Ask Grant that kid just never give up and only ask for more" as he groaned and Diantha & Sycamore started laughing.

"I agree with Wulfric on that. Even if he wakes up at midnight he starts training no matter what is the time." Said Grant

Sycamore smiled and says "That I was well informed by Professor Oak, So I am not surprised." Wulfric & Grant giggled now this time.

Grant replied "Doesn't he told you about his grandson's dream of being a captain to impress girls???" as everyone chuckled at that

"That is some dream. Now back to topic train them to best of your capability & keep your mouth shut till tournament." Diantha instructed and they both nodded.

"Now leave & resume your training schedule & keep us updated." Added Sycamore as they both left.

At Grant's House

"Gary do you think by being the captain you can attract more girls??" asked ash.

"Ashy boy I don't think so because I know so." Replied Gary

That means you have to outclass the Current captain you know??" asked Ash as he eyed Gary.

Gary replied "Yeah I know & I will do that. You just wait & watch ashy boy."

Ash asked "What about me being the captain??"

Gary answered "Chill ashy boy and anyway you don't need captaincy because you still think about the girl with honey blonde hair."

"Shut up Gary & let me focus" said Ash

"What her name was do you remember??" asked Gary while giggling.

Ash answered "Shut the fuck up Gary."

"Oh, I remember Serena it was." Said Gary with a smirk on his face.

"I am going to train for basketball." said ash as he walks outside just then Grant & Wulfric comes in.

"What happened to ash Gary??" asked Wulfric

Gary answered "Nothing just remembered his long lost love." Gary said smirking.

"Gary shall we shift our gears for training?? Asked Grant as he went outside.

"That's what I like to hear." Answered Gary as he followed Grant outside.

Somewhere in Alola

"Mom I am not going in the forests with you. I want some time to myself now." Said Serena as she sat up in front of the mirror.

"No need to lie Serena. You hate forests since you were 6 and got lost in forests and scrapped your knee" said Grace as she eyed her daughter.

"I don't remember anything like that and stop embarrassing Me." lied Serena as her face flush red with embarrassment.

"Anyways I am going Serena. Take care of yourself and call me if you need anything." Told Grace as she went outside leaving Serena in the Hotel room by herself.

Flashback 9 years ago

"Where were you Serena?? I was worried about you that you lost somewhere." Said Grace as she Hugged 6 years old Serena.

"Sorry Mom. I lost in the woods and scrapped my knee accidentally." Said Serena in a low tone as Grace saw her knee and let her inside for some first aid.

As grace was wrapping a bandage around her knee she asked "how you reached here then if you were lost??" asked grace in a smooth voice.

"I was crying and a boy around my age helped me. Apparently he was attending a summer camp nearby the forest." Explained Serena as she blushed and Grace noticed that.

"He also offered me that Camp area has a dedicated nurse and she will patch me up but I knew you would worry more so I came here instead." Serena further explained while eyeing her knee.

"That's nice of you Serena to think so much about me. I can't be happier." Said Grace as she hugged her daughter again.

"Mom can I attend that Summer Camp too??" Serena asked hesitantly.

"Sorry Serena you know we got to visit other places in Kanto too & we got all reservations," Grace said to which Serena's face fell down.

"I just wanted to meet Ash again because he was so nice to me and helped me" Said Serena while tears fall down from her face.

"Hey, Serena how about you get a thank you gift for him" suggested Grace at which Serena Smiled and hugged her.

"Then we will go to the market to buy a gift. Till then you can think about what it can be & don't worry if he is that nice he will treasure it whatever it will be." Said Grace as she eyed Serena who was blushing but nodded.

Flashback Ends

Serena's POV

Serena sat in front of the mirror with a hand over her heart & deep down in her thoughts. I wish I could meet him again. Ash even we met for such a short time you made an everlasting impact on me. It's been 9 years since then & I don't even know if you still remember me but I can never forget you.

At last day of summer breaks

"Your training was good & I am proud of both of you." Said grant as he sat down on the ground.

Wulfric who was watching down from sidelines also came to Ash & says "Your basketball training was also good. I don't remember the last time I was so exerted."

"I enjoyed a lot and learned a lot from both of you." Said Ash as he Bows down slightly to show some respect and Gary followed suit.

"Ashy boy is right. You made us work on those aspects which we didn't even realize were weak or even required. Thank you Coach." Gary said as both Grant & Wulfric Smiled from their words of appreciation.

"School begins tomorrow and now we had to shift to dorm??" Asked Ash

Grant answered "Yeah your stuff will be shifted to your dorm just keep it packed."

"Awesome Kalos High here we come. But now I want to train some more, after all, I don't think we can train with the team." Said Ash in a low tone.

Grant replied "That's a point to consider but don't worry it can be managed."

While elsewhere

"I just got back from Alola yesterday dawn." Said Serena

"I got back here two days ago and I was bored alone but now we need to go shopping." Said Dawn in excitement.

"I am tired Dawn & we can go tomorrow after school you know." Suggested Serena.

"I thought you have a date with Calem tomorrow." Said Dawn.

"We never contacted during the breaks. I guess he was so busy." Said Serena Sheepishly.

"What do you know maybe he got an affair?" Suggested Dawn.

"Dawn you know I trust him he is nothing like that & besides I care less." Said Serena in a normal tone.

"I was just kidding with you" Said Dawn as she giggled.

"So tomorrow 1st day after breaks. Any plans??" Asked Serena.

"Yeah, to check out new hot guys who've enrolled." Said Dawn while Serena chuckled.

"Yeah I was expecting this from you. Dawn you got yourself a boyfriend." Said Serena.

"So what I still can check out nothing wrong with it." Argued Dawn

"About the tournament, only a couple of weeks remaining you know??" asked Serena.

"Yeah maybe this time We will win." Answered Dawn

"Calem & Paul are out best hopes in Soccer so with them playing we will." Said Serena

"Last year they were also there but still we lost so still it is going to take a lot more than them." Suggested Dawn.

"Yeah I agree. But still, they're the best here so believe in them. Said Serena.

"Maybe someone new will join." Said Dawn

"Why you don't like Calem Dawn??" Asked Serena

"You know I don't like him because of his arrogant nature &I think you deserve the better if not best." Said Dawn surprising Serena.

"Change the topic Dawn." Said Serena

"It was nice in Sinnoh but how was your time in Alola??" asked Dawn.

"It was awesome." Answered Serena.

"Now I must go home. Tomorrow is school so meet you there Serena." Said Dawn as she waved her bye.

"Bye Dawn will see you there & I know you're excited about tomorrow." Said Serena.
