Kaldur came back to the cave to see the team along with Aquaman, Batman, Black Canary, Green Arrow, Superman, Flash, and Martian Manhunter waited for him in the briefing room.

"Annex, what has happened?" Kaldur asked knowing that something is wrong.

"Tell him," Batman ordered sternly.

"Neptun më fal për këtë. The Manta planning to bring Atlantis to surface and declare war against those who oppose him." (Neptune forgive for this.) Aquaman explained with a heavy sigh.

"That still does not explain why you are being hesitant? What is the bad new?" Kaldur asked worriedly.

"He is working with a partner. She is the only one able to complete the spell." Aquaman explained.

"She? No no no no." Kaldur whispered repeatedly to himself.

"Kaldur, I am so sorry." 

Kaldur was frozen in his spot. His whole body started to tremble. Superboy could hear his breathing increase even though his body didn't show it.

"How can you do this? You know what kind of woman she is," he demanded angrily.

"When we realized that this required a spell we only thought of one person Manta would trust to complete it," Batman explained.

"A ju harroni atë që ai bëri për mua? Atë që ajo të lejojë që të ndodhë me mua? Sepse unë kurrë nuk e harroi. Kam punuar shumë damn vështirë në shërimin tim për të lejuar këtë, demon përsëri në jetën time!A e keni edhe konsideroni mua në këtë vendim?!" (Did you forget what he did to me? What she allow to happen to me? Because I never forgot. I worked too damn hard in my recovery to allow this, demon back in my life. Did you even consider me in your decision?) Kaldur said angrily in Atlantean.

The Team has never heard Kaldur speak in Atlantean around them. They knew that he had to be pissed for him to act like this.

"Unë e bëri fëmijën tim. Kam argumentuar me Lidhjen për të gjetur një mënyrë të ndryshme. Nuk kishte asgjë unë mund të bëj. Unë jam me të vërtetë keq." (I did my child. I argued with the League to find a different way. There was nothing I could do. I am truly sorry.)

"Unë e kam dëgjuar këtë linjë para." (I've heard that line before.) Kaldur said with a wet chuckle.

"Kaldur," Aquaman said as he moved toward him.

"Stay away from me!" Kaldur snapped at him as he wrapped his own arms around himself protectively.

"Kaldur, you know you have to play role in this. We need to retrieve her and keep her with us until the eclipse has ended," Black Canary explained slowly.

"Oh my gosh, pse mua?" (Oh my gosh, why me?) Kaldur said shakily as his body stopped shaking and started to tap his fingers against his hip.

"Kaldur please forgive me for this." 

"She ruined my life! You expect me to protect the wife of the demon!?" Kaldur screamed angrily to him.

"She is still your mother." Wonder woman said.

"No! She is nothing more than a conceiver. Mera is my mother."

"I am not asking to like her, all I am asking my son is to protect her." 

"She never protected me! Name one time she did," Kaldur said angrily as the room fell silent. "Exactly! Why should I give a damn about her if she never gave one about me?! More importantly why are you even trusting her?" he asked confused.

Before anyone could answer the question a theory came into his mind.

"You never told them did you?" Kaldur asked in shock.

Aquaman not answering was all the answer he needed.

"Oh my gosh. Ju kurrë qëllim në duke u thënë atyre se çfarë ka ndodhur me mua. Si për shkak të saj, unë isha një ende frikë të shikonte në dollap tim. Ose si unë pothuajse vrarë veten nga duke u përpjekur për t'i shpëtuar dhimbjen time. Ose më mirë akoma, si Manta orvatën të më vrasin në shtratin tim dhe ajo nuk bëri asgjë për të ndaluar atë. Did you not?" (You never intended on telling them what happened to me. How because of her, I was an still afraid to look in my closet. Or how I almost killed myself from trying to escape my pain. Or better yet, how the Manta tried to kill me in my own bed and she did NOTHING to stop him.) he explained as his hand clenched into a fist.

"I only wanted to protect you," Aquaman said softly.

"Answer the question. You at least owe me that."

"No. I was only going to tell them if you refused to cooperate." he admitted.

"You can do two things: One, tell me to go home to Atlantis and stay until this is over, which I know you are not going to do, or order me to stay and protective one of the two people I hate, which I know you are going to do. So I need to hear it." Kaldur as he stood up straighter.

After a long sigh from Aquaman he said:

"I am ordering you to protect Shalina Arhm," all Kaldur could do was nod slowly.

"Yes, sir. May I be dismissed?" Kaldur said.

Before anyone could answer, Kaldur walked away before he ran down the hall. He ran to his room and slammed the door. He went to the far corner of his room and sat down. He curled into himself as he sobbed loudly into his arms. He swore that e would never allow himself to succumb to this pain ever again. He never expected the pain and suffering he endured to come back to haunt him.
