Kaito worked hard to make sure he didn't limp as he walked to the high school. When he got there, he had no time to relax.
        Miku squealed, "Kaito!" All his friends gathered around him. Despite the pain, he gave them the half smile. Except for Meiko. She gave Kaito a hug, a comfortable hug that didn't make his bruises throb. Kaito pushed her gently away. He wasn't ready for having her in his  life. She smiled at him, and said, "you missed first period again, BaKaito."
Yeah, the twins said in unison. Then they both turned to glare at each other.
"Copy cat!"
"No, you're the copycat!"
Kaito  put a hand on both of their mouths. Rin shook him off, and squinted up at Kaito. "Are you wearing makeup?"
"Uh," Kaito stammered. "Some concealer."
"Does it make me look like a girly boy?"
"It's not noticeable," Len assured him. I only noticed because you can smell it on your hands."
"Let it go Rin," Kaito said, as Rin opened her mouth to retort. Rin shut her mouth. They all listened to Kaito because he was the 2nd oldest in the band of vocaloids assembled by Mr. Krypton. The oldest was...
       "Kaito!" Akaito slapped Kaito on the back. Kaito gasped in pain. It took all his willpower to not cry out. "Kaito?" Meiko looked concerned. "I'm fine," said Kaito. "He looked at Akaito "please don't do that."
"Sorry. I forgot you get startled so easily." Akaito said. He looked at Kaito strangely. "Are you wearing--"
"Yes!" Shouted Kaito. Now leave me alone!" The 2nd bell rang. Kaito turned to leave when he heard Akaito say "Oh I forgot. Mr. Krypton needs to see you after school ends."
