A/N So I am sorry for the long wait. I was in a writer's block and still am. I have written these chapters beforehand. I will try to finish the others. Once again I am sorry for the wait and thanks for the patience for the people who are still reading my fanfiction.

What had happened? His sight slowly returned and he felt a jacket. When looking up, he was met with Sapphire concerned eyes looking at him. His mind was too foggy, so foggy that he couldn't think straight. That headache wasn't going away and his dizziness just grew.

"Saguru?"

"Hm?"

He was still out of it, and he had the feeling that he passed out. Saguru could hear some footsteps approaching

"Kaito,...fever...seems....out...it..."

He couldn't make out really what they said, as feeling himself slowly get in and out of conscious. That voice was Shinichi-kun, but it seemed in a serious talk, like when a murder would have happened. 

"Saguru...you...me?"

The voice was Kaito now and he was sure of it, maybe he has a fever as he heard Shinichi say something about a fever. He blinked trying to get him out of this state, but he couldn't seem to. Saguru knew how dangerous fever can be, maybe it was worse then he thought.

"Parts...of it.."

His voice was soft and small as well slurred, and he just couldn't shake that sleepiness out as well the dizziness.

"Alright....you....or...me?"

This time it was again the voice of Shinichi, and he felt himself being once again slipped out of consciousness, but a few seconds later he was back conscious. He felt himself being careful lifted up, and when a particular smell came, he knew who it was, but this time he couldn't shake that sleepiness out...

"Saguru...wake...!"

The panicked voice was making him try to focus and soon he was slightly conscious. His eyes focused this time as he saw the panicked yet worried expression of Kaito...

"Don't...look...like...this...I don't....like seeing..that...expression."

His voice was slurred and small and slow. He couldn't talk well and he wanted to sleep, but seeing that expression, he didn't want to lose consciously, but he couldn't any longer, as his eyes felt heavy and he passed out.

His eyes slowly, his headache gone his body feeling way better and he felt relaxed. The ceiling was one he knew too well.  He was sure that he was still at his grampa's place. He felt weight right next to him, so he looked to the side seeing Kaito's head, laying on the bed. Under his eyes where dark circles which indicated that he hadn't slept well. There was something else he seemed pale and not really healthy.

His hand moved without thinking and beginning to pat the sleeping person. He didn't remember what happened and why he was there. The last thing he remembered was talking with Shinichi and then everything was foggy. Letting his hand leave the head of the sleeping person. Kaito groaned and slowly sat up, eyes on him for the moment, until wide-eyed looking at him. Relieve seen on the expression and he could guess it was that serious when Kaito looked like this.

"What happened?"

His voice still hasn't returned. But he remembered numbly that it had worked to some extent before he passed out. Kaito paused for a moment and wanted to say something, but it was disrupted as the door opened and two people walked into the room. One was Shinichi and there was another person a doctor. Shinichi looked relieved and the doctor as well.

"Good to see you awake."

That a doctor was there meant just one thing, something had happened with him. Soon his question was answered by the doctor to continue talking.

"It seemed that the drug wasn't out of your system yet. When you stressed out it made it worse and you got a high fever. You were asleep for five days. That fever was too high, luckily you seem to do better now."

That made him feel bad for Kaito, the latter seemed not healthy and he hated seeing Kaito gloomy.

"Oh, so that was why I was that out of it. I am sorry for worr-"

Saguru pouted slightly as still, no voice came out of his mouth. He was stopped when he was pulled in a hug from the mentioned person. A raspy squeal escape, it made him wide-eyed in surprise. His throat was hurting when he squealed like this.  It was in a hoars voice, yet he managed to get something out like that. Kudo looked at him amused, yet surprised. Hugging him back, not saying anything. Soon he let go of the hug and Saguru was laying back down. He glanced at Kaito who seemed now better than before.

"You scared the living hell out of me."

He felt bad and looked sheepishly that Hakuba. 

"Sorry, about that. So what-"

Saguru was checked out by the doctor and he just now realized that he had an IV right next to him. He could just guess why they didn't bring him out of his grampa's home and not to a hospital. There were still these people there, now that he thought about it, what had happened to the case. Shinichi seemed to realize what he was thinking and gave him a sad small smile.

"So the case was solved, but for your grampa, it is sadly too late. He will have maybe 3 to 2 more weeks. Fun fact the people who attacked were the ones who were after the gem. Kaito was excused and won't get in any trouble with the law or almost."

Shinichi had a sad expression now, and he felt his heart sink in. 

"He has to do some charitable work. 20 hours, but that is all. He was lucky that he didn't get into prison. Two days ago he found out what he would have to do. Helping out in homeless People home. It could have been worse. The group will soon be found and then everything will end."

That made him relax, knowing that Kaito wasn't in need to be Kaito Kid anymore. It was a relief knowing that he wouldn't get into danger anymore. A silent sigh escaped.

I thought of making a small time skip. Soon this will end, or maybe not. I will see how many chapters there will be. I am thinking about writing my own stories after I have finished almost all fanfics. It will for sure be shonen-ai. What it will be about unsure.
