Baaya soon left again as she saw that he was occupied with Kaito. The other was still frozen and it took him 5 minutes to get out of that state. 

After he came back, he flushed more deeply now. His face buried into Saguru's chest. The relief was there that the other finally was awake. Not just that he was glad that he told the teen, and he wondered had he the same feelings than him? He should have after all his expression indicated enough.

"You know, seeing you that flustered was adorable. And I love you as well. I just was surprised that you told me this. So what now?"

The other was wondering as well. Kaito wanted to get together with the other. 

"Y-you. I am glad um..."

He was a flustered mess and was more talking muffled into him. Right now he was utterly embarrassed and he was sure that Saguru would try to embarrass him more often now.

"Aww did I embarrass you."

He could hear the smug tone of the others but wasn't saying anything. The relief having him wake up had finally sunk in. In the last three weeks, his sleeping got worse and he had hidden it. Now hearing the calm heartbeat and the warmth, as well that his crush talked was such a relieve. So that he began to cry once again. The other tensed up and hugged him back. 

"I hic am hic so glad hic that you're hic finally awake hic..."

The other hadn't said anything, but he was sure that he heard him through his muffled words. Soon the crying stopped as his breathing regulated into calm and steady breathing. Kaito dozed off feeling so relieved to see that Saguru was really awake.

Hakuba had the feeling that the other still had some hidden emotions left. He could imagine the latter hiding them behind a mask. Finally hearing him say it was a relief to him as he knew how much it had pained him. He wouldn't doze off that soon and looked outside. They could wait for talking about what they are now. Both had time and he wouldn't disappear on him. One thing he promised himself never would making Kaito ever sad. Just hearing the shaken up voice and him crying was enough for him to try everything to make him happy.

Three hours later...

Kaito still asleep, and he was glomping on him so that he couldn't escape. Right now he was too weak. Af first he was wanting to wake the other up but decided against it. Kaito probably couldn't have slept well the past three weeks because of that and he looked so peaceful. He doesn't have the heart to wake up his crush from his slumber. A soft knock was heard and he guessed it was either Baaya again or maybe Shinichi.

"You can come in."

His voice was loud enough to hear, as he knew, either way, Kaito would wake up. Yet the other hadn't woken up yet and that was making him a bit perplexed. The teen was always a light sleeper, so seeing him not awake meant just one thing, Kaito was that tired. He must really have not much sleep and that indicated enough for him. The door opened and closed behind him. The footsteps walked over and sat down at the chair. It led to him now turn around and seeing Shinichi grin at him.

"Huh, it seems like you finally told each other."

The amusement was heard from the other as well as relief.

"Yup, and 3 hours ago he dozed off and hadn't woken up. Can it be that he hadn't slept enough?"

The other's expression changed into a  frown and let out a sigh. It seemed that he was right about his assumptions.

"Yeah, he couldn't sleep well. I am glad that he finally sleeps. He had some nightmares since that day. I didn't know until he decided to open up. It was four days later, after the attack, he told me and I couldn't do really anything."

The other paused as he said this and Hakuba could tell that the other felt genuinely concerned.

"I noticed that you and Hattori are really close to him. Thank you. I am glad that he wasn't alone."

Shinichi chuckled and a grin stretched on his lips. 

"It's alright. You asked me after to look after Kaito. Either way I couldn't let him alone. It took Heiji less than me. Two days actually and another two days for me. So four days afterward we got really close. We are best friends now and opened up. I can tell how hard he had with you in a coma. I am relieved to see him finally relaxed like this."

The other had now a soft smile as Kaito whined softly and slowly opened his eyes. Shinichi snorted and he chuckled. It seemed that he woke up now. Kaito blinked a few times and Saguru let go of the hug as the other slowly sat up and yawned softly.

"Sagu-chan did somethin' happen?"

It was clear that the other wasn't that awake and seeing him half-asleep was way too adorable.

"Nah, Shinichi just came back 5 minutes ago and we talked. Are you still tired?"

The other blinked his sleepiness away and looked sheepishly at Shinichi now, but with a small blush on his cheeks.

"I uh..."

The other snorted once more and shook his head in amusement.

"Don't worry, but you seemed so peaceful, couldn't have the heart to wake you up."

The other looked more embarrassed now at what the other just told him. It meant that he was busted and Saguru knew that he hadn't slept that much the past three weeks. He wasn't wanting to tell the other, not to worry him.

"I-it's fine. I guess that means that we have to go home now. I kind off don't want to go tho..."

God Saguru wanted to glomp the other for being adorable. Right now he was way more adorable. Shinichi looked away as a small blush was seen in his expression. The brit was pretty sure that his cheeks were flushing slightly as well.

"Y-you can come tomorrow again. I won't go anywhere."

The other pouted and folded his arms together, but then giving him the brightest smile he has ever seen on his face. It was one which was so different than his usual expression.

"Fine, I promise to visit you after school."

That was making him smile back.

"Of course, but before we go now what are we? We can take it slowly as I fine with staying just friends for now and see what the future holds for us."

The other spluttered as his whole face ended up in a flustering mess.

"I a-am fine w-with it."

With this, they said their goodbye and Hakuba being alone now. He was feeling butterflies in his stomach and grin was now on his lips. He couldn't be more happy about it. There was just one problem...how would his father react to this? Would he accept it? And what about the other family members? What about his Grampa and Grandma? Both always stayed behind him and they are one of the only once who isn't a prick in his family. A sigh came out of his mouth as he couldn't help feeling a bit worried now...
