After Hakuba gave Kuroba the medicine, it was decided that they would talk about what a particular Osakan had to tell. It was making him amused a bit that the other had blurted that out. Now that he thought about it, whenever Conan was there he always stumbled over his words at his name. It took them an hour thirty minutes, thirteen seconds and 2 milliseconds. It was a lot to take in and he was gaping afterward too shocked to know what to say.

There was something else that Shinichi wasn't willing to tell him as it had to do with his crush. The latter won't pry and wait for the other to explain his reasoning. It was a good one and he knew this for sure. His crush wasn't someone who would just steal for the thrill of it. For that Kaito a big bleeding heart. It was one of the reasons he fell for the latter teen.

And he wasn't regretting anything, as it wasn't mattering to him anymore that he was a phantom thief. He always returned the stolen things and never took it for himself. Yes, the other irked him sometimes, but he never had injured anyone and always tried to pull the harm towards him instead of others. Which was always something, which made him always concerned. That he got shot and his heart always felt like sinking and he was every time worried that Kaito could die. 

"That...is a lot to take in. I hadn't expected that Conan was you the whole time. Now it made sense, why Hattori stumbled over you're name Shinichi. It made so much more sense why Conan was so intellectual."

The other chuckled and giving him a grin now, and seeing that grin made him instantly see Conan. That Kid knew wasn't that much of a surprise and he was glad that Kid helped the other. 

"Yup, but back to the thing about the serial killer."

With this, they began to talk about it. The whole night they had talked and now was the next morning. It was decided that Hakuba would go home and Kaito was awake by now looking better. Hattori was introduced to him and it was decided that he would finally get to know the person behind Kaito kid. With this, they said their goodbye as both began to walk home.

"I know about the conan thing...um."

The other looked surprised at this and opened his mouth and closed it again, as a groan escaped soon after.

"Let me guess Tantei-han blurted it out or didn't think that I didn't talk to you about it?"

That made him give the other a nod and Kaito looked not pleased which he was sure why.

"Don't worry Shinichi didn't tell me anything about your reason. I won't ask when you're ready to open up I am willing to listen to you."

That made the other teen looked relieved and giving him a small appreciated smile. Which he gave the other a smile back. 

"I am glad that you seem better. So how about we go eat breakfast at a bakery?"

The other hummed at the thought about something to eat and began to grin.

"I wouldn't mind and I still can't believe Hattori blurted out about them. Like seriously, but then again this is Tantei-han we are talking about. Never and I mean never tell him a secret because he could blurt it out unintentionally. I will tell you the reason soon. But for now, I am not comfortable enough."

The first part about Hattori was said in a ranting tone and the last part was said it in a whisper so that just Hakuba could hear and there weren't many people out there yet. The other was looked away for a moment and it seemed that a pair of eyes had watched them from afar. 

Hakuba suddenly felt himself being dragged somewhere else. The person was way stronger than him. His body was tense as he let out a muffled scream.  When they were in the alleyway he well felt soon a stinging pain at his arm.

Kaito stopped as soon as he heard no footsteps behind him any more of the other and not to mention that he heard something muffled. That was why he looked behind him. He bit his lips and looked around.

"Hakuba? That is not funny, come out..."

Swallowing hard as he heard no answer. Something was not right and he couldn't put his fingers on it.

A killer is on the loose who likes to kill people with blue eyes, blond hair or brown hair

Soon in his mind, a sentence got heard that Hakuba told him yesterday about a serial killer.  He was walking around until he saw an alleyway. The alleyway was just a few feet away from him and something just about that one made his alarm bells ring. Usually, it was when the snake was at his heist or when something bad was happening. It was his instincts and usually, they where right.  This was why Kaito was beginning to get more anxious. Pulling out his phone as he searched for a particular number, and pressing the call button. A few seconds later a particular detective voice was heard.

"Shinichi, Hakuba he..."

He was on the brink of having a panic attack and hearing the soothing voice of Shinichi helped a lot calming enough down.

"Yeah, a moment ago he was right next to me, but I was looking just for a moment away. He..."

The other person on the line was cursing under his breath and asked him where he was. He told him to stay there and he told them to hurry as he was feeling terrified of what would happen to the other. It took them 2 minutes as they were driving towards him with a car. They step out and Shinichi instantly pulled him into a hug for a moment. It made him calm himself down.

"Did someone drive through here? Did you see anyone walk out of that alleyway or any of the alleyways near here? And yes I called the police and the ambulance as well. They are here at 5 minutes."

Kaito let out a sigh and the hug was left. The two minutes no one was there, nor anyone left.

"No I observed the whole street and so far no one was there. I have a bad feeling about this particular alleyway and I am not sure why. I guess it is because this one is the only one who was near us at that time."

That was making Shinichi look at Hattori, which the other gave a nod.

"I will go in there and Heiji will go to the other one. His injuries aren't too bad and he will fight, you, on the other hand, could get killed. I know you usually would manage to pull it off, but I don't want you to have a panic attack."

The other looked serious and Kaito knew what he meant with that. He gave him a knowing smile and nodded. 

"Not to mention I need someone to tell the police where we are. It's saver that way, let's hurry before it is too late."

"It's fine, just be careful don't want you two to die. Let's hope he is still...alive and not dead..."

His voice was soft and he felt a hand on his head from Hattori this time who gave him a reassuring smile.

"Don'ta worry everythin' will be fine."

That made him smile now as he gave him a soft smile. With this, he was alone as he had a watchful eye on the streets. All he hoped that Hakuba was alright. Just the thought alone of him dying was making him feel the need to cry. He needed to stay calm as it won't do anything good and being hysterical would make it more difficult for the police to work or for the other two tantei's.

'Please try to hold on...'
