Sometimes people find each other with broken foundations and they together as a team built a foundation that is indestructible.

"Mom kahti thi...where there is fireflies na they celebrate true love..and where their is true love na..they glow...and see..they all are glowing..."

A lone tear escaped Manik's eyes.

"You are still shining for me Nandini...and I know you always will.."

"I know that you are not around...but..I don't know why ...why do I feel that you are still around...I don't know why do I get this feeling that our story isn't over..yet..I don't know why do I feel that we still have a long way to go..."

"I know I am sounding like a lunatic...but this.."Manik pointed towards his heart."..is not ready to believe that you are no more...deep down it's still waiting for you to return Nandini..I know that's not possible...but I can't help it...I just can't.."

"I can't stop myself from hoping Nandini...hope...that one day..some miracle will happen that will bring you back to me.."

"I know that's not possible...but still.."

"Kya karu yeh jo dil hai na...manta hi nai hai.."

"Issey aaj bhi lagta hai...ki tum ho....bhale hi hamare samne nai ho...par aaj bhi hamare sath ho..aur ek din..achanak se tum wapas laut aaogi..aur phir sab thik ho jaega.."

"Manik..."

Manik was so lost in his thought that he didn't realise that he had company.

He turned around only to find Kishori standing at the door.

"Amms.."Manik said wiping his tears away. "Aap soye nai..."

"Mai nai soyi..ya phir tum nai soye.."Kishori's words confused Manik."Amms..mai kuch samjha nai..."

"Time dekho Manik..apne aap samajh me aa jaega sab kuch.."Amms pointed towards the clock.

Manik looked at his watch for a second and that's when he realised what Kishori meant.

"Oh Man...It's 4.oo A.M.."Manik closed his eyes and sighed.

"Exactly...subah ke char baj rahe hai Manik..aur ek baar phir se I caught you like this..."Kishori nodded her head in disapproval.

"Amms..I.."Manik was about to say something but Kishori stopped him by showing her palm.

"No more excuses Manik...chalo baitho..we need to talk.."saying this Kishori entered the room followed by Manik.

She sat on the bed and gestured him to sit next to her by patting on the bed.

Without saying anything Manik sat down next to her.

"Manik..it's been three years beta..aisa kab tak chalega..bolo.."Kishori's tone shocked Manik as he was expecting her anger but right now all he could feel was concern in her voice...for him.

"I know things had not been easy for you...at all..in fact you are the one who has suffered the most.."Kishori caressed his hair while Manik was looking down.

"Manik...she is not coming back beta..."Kishori chocked while Manik closed his eyes.

"She is gone..it's been three years Manik..our Nandu left us three years back...in that car accident..."Kishori was finding it hard to breathe while tears were flowing out of Manik's closed eyes as he continued to listen to her.

"Manik..I will be honest with you...when she left us..I never for once expected you to stick around..as a matter of fact..I was 200% sure that it won't be matter of days when you will forget about her and move on with your life..with someone else..."

Manik's eyes snapped open. Though he didn't say anything but he continued to look at Kishori.

"I never truly understood your love beta..I failed miserably to see the depth of your true love...and I truly apologies for that.."Kishori eyes were brimming with tears.

Manik shook his head. He was about to say something when Kishori spoke "hear me out Manik..just let me please.."

Manik nodded his head in assent.

"You know Manik my Nandu was very lucky...in fact she still is...because she got you..she got the opportunity to experience true love in her short span of life..In fact she got someone who is still very much in love with her even after her untimely demise.."

"Manik...like I said I never expected you to stick around..and I am really ashamed of myself for not comprehending your feelings for her...but yes...today I am extremely proud that my Nandu fell in love with you.."

"You completed Nandini's every dream Manik..and not only that you took care of us..her family...like your own family.."

"You sent Rishab to U.S. for his treatment. You didn't allow us to spend a single money. You took care of everything. It's because of you that Rishab is able to speak today. It's because of you that he had fully recovered. "

"Shanno and Venkatesh were completely broken because they lost their priceless possession. But you took care of them too. In fact you shifted here at Murthy's Residence so that you could look after them. You left everything behind your house...status...comfort..everything..just because you wanted to be their for us.."

"Nandini was my smile Amms. She was my happiness. In fact she still is. And she always be. I was lost Amms. I was so lost. But I found my way because she became my star. I won't lie Amms before I met her I used to think that I was perfect. But my delusion broke when she crossed my way."

"People used to be scare of me. Me and Fab5 used to bully them because that was the only way we knew to feel superior. We used to scare...in fact traumatised them to such an extent that they used to tag Fab5 as the synonym of sheer terror..."

"In fact with every single passing second my love for her is only increasing....our love can't end just because of a small irrelevant thing like death...so what if she isn't around...she is right here..in my heart...she is trapped there...she can never leave...no matter how hard she tries..she can never get rid of me..."Manik said with a smile.

"She will always be with you Manik...always.."Amms smiled too while she wiped away her tears.

"Now you only tell me Amms...how can I move on when she is right here with me...in my heart...in my soul...I can never forget her Amms...I can never cheat on her like that.."Manik shook his head.

"You are not cheating on her Manik...How can you even think something like that..let alone saying it..I am her Amms...and I am saying this..that Nobody can ever love Nandini more than you..nobody..don't do dare ever think something like that again...or else I will bear you up myself..."Kishori threatened.

"Okay sorry...I promise I won't say anything like this ever.."Manik said holding both this ears.

"Fine..now you go to sleep...you need rest.."saying Kishori got up from the bed and walked toward the door while Manik continue to sit on the bed.

She was about to walk out of the room when Manik called her  "Amms.."

She turned to look at him."Hmm.."

Getting up from the bed Manik covered the distance between them in just few strides and before Kishori could realise Manik hugged her.
"Thank you for being my Amms.."

Kishori was shocked for a moment but she hugged him back as she comprehended the true meaning of Manik's words "Anytime..my child.."

Breaking the hug he cupped her face and planted a kiss on her forehead "You are the best..Amms.."

"So are you..now go to sleep..and don't you dare wake up before getting proper rest okay.."Kishori ordered which made Manik smiled.

"Your wish my command Amms.."saying this Manik bowed in front of her.

"Achcha enough now..stop with your nautanki..and go to sleep.."saying this Kishori exited the room.

"Chal Manik you need to sleep now or else this time Amms will actually beat me up...."saying this Manik hopped on the bed. He picked the photo frame containing Nandini's picture that was kept on the side table.

"Good night Nandini.."he kissed her picture.

Then embracing it he closed his eyes and almost instantly fell asleep smiling the whole time.

Kishori who was standing outside the room peaked in just to find Manik sleeping.

Tear started streaming down her eyes.

"Aiyappa..please bring happiness back into this boy's life...he had suffered enough...this boy deserves to be happy..life owes this to him..please Aiyappa..give him his smile back..please bless with him happiness Aiyappa...please.."Kishori prayed.

They say that when you can't put your prayer into words God hear your heart. As happiness often sneaks in through a door you don't know was open.

As the best thing happens in life unexpectedly.
