.Chapter 7: the big reveal.
After Diego left to go talk to Lila, Marah walks into the hotel. She walks up to the reception desk. "Hey, Chet. One room please?" Marah asks.
"Of course, miss Hargreeves. Problems with the family again?" Chet asks, grabbing a key and handing it to Marah.
"You know it." Marah mutters, grabbing the keys and saying a small 'thank you'. She walks through the hotel and goes to head towards the elevators when some familiar voices and faces catch her attention.
Marah walks over to three of the Hargreeves siblings who are eating take-out.
"How are we gonna know where it changed?" Klaus asks.
"You aren't." she says, standing to the left of Five. "Because I know what's changed."
Marah looks at Five to see him already looking at her. She builds up enough courage to tell him and the other three brothers what happened in her dream.
"I remember." Marah states, pulling Five out of his staring and causing him to have a shocked look cross his face.
Meanwhile, Diego walks down a few hallways looking for Lila, or the love of his life. He walks towards the elevators where he finds Lila, leaning up against the wall with a briefcase in hand.
"Hello, lover." Lila says once Diego shows up.
"Holy shit." breathes Diego, shocked Lila came back. "You really came back."
"You miss me already?" Lila asks, more to herself than to him. "That's too bad. I'm not here to stick around. I'm just doing a quick little drop-off."
"Of what?" Diego asks confused.
"Our son." Lila says calmly, moving out of the way to reveal a 12 year old kid who looks nothing like his 'parents.' "Diego, meet Stan. Say hello Stanley!"
"Hello, Stanley!" Stanley says in a bored tone.
"Wait. What?" questions Diego, not believing what he's hearing. "Hey. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, this is...Hey, this is a...it's a joke, right?"
"That your boys can swim fast? Yeah." Lila jokes, chuckling at herself. "Joke's on me there. I've had Stan for 12 years. It's time for you to do your part." Lila gets into the elevator as it opens, leaving a confused Diego and a bored Stanley. "Have fun bonding. Be good for mommy."
The elevator closes, leaving Diego with his 'son'.
"So...Do you got any food?" Stanley asks.
"I remember." I say, pulling Five out of his staring and causing a shocked look to pass over his face.
"You remember what?" asks one of the brothers, Klaus, I believe.
"I remember who you guys are." I answer. "I remember the apocalypse, than Dallas, Texas."
"How do you remember?" the other brother asks, Luther.
"I don't know. It was a dream or a nightmare really." I say, looking around the hotel. "I only remember bits and pieces. I don't remember how I got here, or anything. But, I do know, what's different here."
"What is?" Klaus asks.
"My mother, she survived my birth." I answer.
"That's a little weird but not so much change." Luther states.
"Yes, but from what I saw in my dream/ nightmare, me not having my mom took a big toll on dad." I add, reminding them of some of the trauma they faced.
"What do you remember exactly?" Five asks, hope seemingly filling him up.
"Just a few things. We killed some people in a diner, then some people in a meeting, and I was shot and lit a cabin on fire." I explain, I see his eyes fill up with slight disappointment, but that's soon replaced with pride and happiness.
"Of all the things you can remember, you remember killing people and getting shot?" Luther asks.
"I don't decide what I remember ape man." I comment, smirking when he glares at me.
I sit down in the open seat and grab some chopsticks and some of the food, digging in. I look up a few seconds later to watch my other brothers watching me. "What, you never seen a girl eat before?"
They all just look away, not wanting to answer. They go back to their conversation from before I showed up and interrupted them with my presence.
"The point is, we did it. We saved the world." Five says, eating some of his food. "We stopped the apocalypse."
"This time." I mutter, earning a glare from Five.
"And made it home safe in time for dinner." Five continues, choosing to ignore my comment. "So whatever dad changed, whatever timeline we're in now...we can handle it. We won."
"We won." Luther agrees, a smile on his face.
"Yeah." Klaus adds on, wanting to feel included in the discussion.
"All right." Luther says.
"All right." I agree, smiling at my other brothers.
We finish eating and I head up to my room while they head up to theirs. I step into the room and immediately run and jump onto the bed.
I lay down for a few minutes before there was a knock on my door.
"Come in." I grumble, just wanting to be alone.
"What are you doing?" I hear Five ask, I can hear the smirk in his voice.
"Failing to be alone with me and my thoughts." I sigh, sitting up and facing him. "What do you want?"
"I just...why...why now? Why remember now?" Five asks, mumbling slightly.
"It was after our talk really, that I started to get snip-bits of memories." I admit, walking over towards him. "I only got those memories when I was asleep."
"That's all you really remember though?" Five asks, some hope in his voice, hoping I'll give him an answer he wants.
"That's it." I sigh. I watch as his face drops a little before he quickly puts back his cold demeanor.
"Well, goodnight then." Five mutters, turning and walking towards my door.
"Night." I reply. "Meet me in the lobby tomorrow, we'll do something together. Maybe it'll help jog my memory."
Five smiles before walking out of my room. I go back to my bed and lay down for a few minutes, just staring at the ceiling.
I get out of the bed and walk towards the bathroom and shower, changing into some boxers and an over sized shirt, I get back in bed and fall asleep, hoping for another memory.
