"Well, I read the same training manuals as you did." Lila states, looking bored of this conversation. 

'yeah, same sister.' I think to myself, leaning my head on Five's shoulder as his thumb rubs circles on my hand.

"Why?" Lila questions.

"Because it's happening." Five states calmly, wrapping his arm around my shoulder, pulling me closer to him.

"You being stupid?" Lila asks, hoping this is a joke.

"Hand over your briefcase." Five states, not wanting to deal with her any longer. "I need to go to Herb and find outhow he let things get so cocked up."

"Over there with my knickers.Toss them to me, will you?" Lila asks, pointing towards the tub she was in. I get up from the spot next to Five and go to grab her undergarments when I see two briefcases.

"Lila," I question, grabbing both Five and Lila's attention. "why is it that you have two briefcases?" I look at Five to see he's just as confused as I am and then at Lila who just smiles slightly at the two.

"Mm." Lila hums, remembering where she got the second one. "One's yours. Nicked it from the Sparrows. Go on. Give it a go." 

I place one of them on the ground as Five walks towards me and pushes in numbers, only for the briefcase to not go anywhere, and instead of it's normal blue light like Five's powers, it's red.

"First, we try yours." I hear Lila mutter in the background. I grab the second one as Five tries again, only for the briefcase to once again sputter and power down, changing from a blue to red energy. "And then we try mine. Yeah."

"This can't be happening." Five mutters, grabbing onto my hand and rubbing circles on my hand, attempting to calm himself down. "The odds of one of them failing,it's in the millions. But two of them..."

"Astronomical. Yeah." Lila mumbles, a look of anger flashing through her eyes.

"So, what does that mean exactly?" I ask, wondering why Five is stressed and Lila looks angry.

"End of the world?" Lila asks.

"Oh, It's much worse than that." Five answers, a loud sigh escaping him. "It means you and I, and Marah, are gonna have to work together."

"Shit." Me and Lila say at the same time, both of us with the same upset look on our faces.

Me and Five stand off to the side as Lila grabs her clothes so that we can go.

"Why don't you just change now?" I ask, as we go to leave the bathroom.

"I don't trust this perv to not look while I change." Lila states, pointing towards Five.

"Trust me, the only woman I wanna see naked is Marah." Five answers, a blush quickly appearing on my face as I put my face in the crook of his neck. I hear Five laugh and place a kiss on the top of my head before he pulls me with him as we leave the bathroom, Five carrying both of the briefcases.

We walk into the hall behind Lila to see Diego and his kid, Stanley standing out there.

"Lila?" Diego aks.

"Hmm?" Lila responds, holding up her towel a little more.

"You need to take this kid with you." Diego states, pointing towards Stanley. "The hell were you doing in there?"

"Bathing." Lila states, causing Diego to raise his eyebrow. "Together? Like a threesome?"

"Oh, okay." Five grumbles, not liking where this conversation is going. Five walks towards the elevator, with me following behind him as Lila follows me. "Diego, we don't have time for this.Lila, me, and Marah have got important shit to do. "

"Wait. What's more important than family?" Diego questions, not liking Five's vague answer.

"Hey, love." Lila says towards Diego.

"End of the world, genius." I state, grabbing one of the briefcases from Five's hand so I can hold his hand with my free hand.

"Lila? What's more important than us?" Diego asks, a hint of desperation in his voice.

"There is no us, Diego." Lila states coldly, though with hurt flashing through her eyes.

The elevator arrives as me and Five step in, waiting for Lila. Diego grabs Lila's arm, pulling her away from the elevator. I hold out my arm to make sure the elevator doesn't close while Diego and Lila talk.

"Come here. What do you mean?" Diego questions.

"Look, for you, it's been a couple days." Lila starts, pulling her arm from his grasp. "For me, it has been over a decade.I've moved on. I've slept with many, many people. Many. The only relationship we have leftis the one with our child. So you better not screw that up. Figure it out, Diego. Be a dad."

Lila walks into the elevator as I release my hand from the door and allow the door's to close, sending us to a floor where we won't be disturbed so that we can figure out a way to get the briefcases to work and get us to the commission.

'should be easy enough. nothing could ever go wrong.' I think to myself, hearing the sarcasm dripping from my thoughts.

We ride the elevator down to the floor with the maintenance closet on it, hoping for it to have all the necessary supplies that we need.

"Why don't we change first before we meet back up in ten minutes." I suggest, looking towards Lila's towel. She just nods her head as she goes to change, me and Five doing the same in my room. Five sets the briefcases down as he blinks out of the room and comes back with a suit in hand. 

I grab my black long sleeve turtle neck, tan leather skirt and matching tan leather jacket, grabbing my knee high black boots, I go into my bathroom to change.

Walking out of the bathroom, I see Five in his new suit, leaving his old man style and returning to a more sophisticated school boy look.

"Damn. You've grown up." I mutter, hoping he hasn't heard me.

"Have I now?" Five questions, smirking at my blushing face. I notice his eyes trail up from my feet to my waist to my face, finally finding my eyes. "So have you."

I walk over to Five and grab his hand, him pulling me in closer as he grips my hip with one hand and my chin with the other. "You look very handsome." I whisper.

"Thank you, love." Five responds, tilting my chin up to him as he leans down towards me. I hold my breath and close my eyes as I feel his soft lips connect with mine. His grip on my hip tightens as he tilts my head more to get a better angle.

The kiss starts off slow and full of passion before the kiss slowly speeds up to add more passion into it. I wrap my arms around his neck, running my hand through his hair. I hear him groan as I pull on his hair slightly, causing my cheeks to heat up.

I pull away from the kiss to catch my breath. Five leaves a kiss on my cheek as he leans his forehead against mine.

"Wow." I mutter, my breathing slowly returning to normal.

"I've been waiting thirteen days to do that again." Five responds, leaving a quick kiss on my lips before pulling away and grabbing the two briefcases. I feel my face heat up again as we leave my room, heading back to the spot we chose to meet Lila.
