06: Breaking of glass a good omen
His lids met his cheeks and got inflated out of the shock he has received. He is the CEO of the Goenka Industries but she spoke to him as if he was a mere servant at her service. His revenge was ready to be taken but he was enthralled by her guts. He smiled to himself. Then placing his hands inside his pocket he walked into the room from where they had merrily departed for their little chit-chat. His eyes still fixed on every expression on her face. Naira laughed and smiled with the guests.
"Naira: why don't you fetch us cups of tea?" asked Dadi, who was surely expecting more than enough from a spoilt brat like her. He rolled his eyes but then suddenly an idea struck his brainy brain. He had an idea to spite Naira...
Thereafter Naira entered with a tray: ridden with few cups and a bowl full of fries. Kartik immediately switched his position and just as Naira was about to put her next step, he flexed his feet between. Naira stumbled on his foot and tumbled down. She landed on her forelimbs with all the courtesies going down in drain. The cups shattered into a million pieces and the tea spilling everywhere...
"Hai Ram!" Dadi gasped "yeh to abshagun ho gaya,"
Tears sprinkled in Naira's eyes. For a moment she thought that along with the cups , her father's dream was shattered too.
"Arey Dadi.. Ho jata hai galti" Kartik said. Then looking at Naira, he pulled out his hand for her "Give your hand, Miss,"
"I can do it myself," Naira stood on her knees and glared at Kartik.
"Moreover breaking of glass is a good omen," Kartik added
"If you think - by doing this you may shatter me then you are wrong," Naira whispered to him
"We'll soon get to know WHO's correct, Miss Naira SINGHANIA,"
Kartik smiled devilishy at her.
