The episode starts with Naira looking at Kartik.

Naira(cupping Kartik's face):- You will not tell me. You love me na. Then tell me everything.

Kartik:- Naira my parents are Mr Naitik Singhania and Mrs Akshara Singhania. I'm not their real son. They adopted me.

FLASHBACK STARTS

Kartik was 4 months old when he was adopted by Naitik and Akshara.

(Here Kartik is 13 years old)

Everyone was sitting in hall.

Bhabhi Maa:- Akshara where are Kartik and Shivani?

Akshara:- Bhabhi Maa driver has picked them. They are on their way.

(Naksh is 4 years elder than Kartik)

Naksh came from college.

Naksh:- Mumma food..

Akshara:- Naksh wait bacha. Let Shivani and Kartik come.

Naksh(angry):- Mumma if they will not come till night you will not give me food till then.

Akshara:- Naksh What has happened to you? I'm just asking you to wait for 5-10 minutes.

Naksh:- Enough Mumma. Enough is enough. Don't forget Kartik isn't your real son. You did favour on him by adopting him. He's no one to this house. He is an ORPHAN.

Naksh got a tight slap from Akshara.

Akshara:- Chup. Bilkul Chup.

Everyone saw Kartik and Shivani standing at door step.

(Shivani is 10 years old)

Kartik was shocked. Tears were falling from his eyes.

Devyani:- Kartik...

Akshara turned and saw Kartik.

Akshara:- Kartik.

Kartik:- Main aapka Beta Nahi hoon. You adopted me.

Naksh:- Haan you are an orphan. Get lost from here.

Akshara:- Kartik meri....

Kartik ran outside the house. Akshara went behind him. She stopped Kartik.

Kartik:- Aap meri Mumma nahi ho.

Akshara:- I'm your Mumma only Kartik.

Kartik:- Nahi you adopted me. Bhai said na I'm orphan.

Akshara:- Sssshhhh...Mumma ki baat suno na.

Kartik kept quiet. Akshara took Kartik and made him sit on the bench.

Akshara:- I agree I didn't give you birth. But you are my child. 13 years back I was pregnant. But my child died after taking birth. When we were coming back from hospital we saw you crying lying near your Mumma Papa's dead body. When I picked you in my arms you stopped crying and hugged me. I felt complete when you hugged me. I and Naitik decided to give you a new life. We adopted you.

Kartik:- Why you never told me?

Akshara:- Because I forgot it. For me you are my son. My Kartik.

Kartik:- I'm sorry Mumma.

Kartik kept his head in Akshara's lap. Akshara caressed his hairs.

Akshara:- Don't Go away from Mumma. Okay?

Kartik:- Jee Mumma.

Naira saw Kartik breaking down. She immediately took him in hug.

Naira:- Kartik.

Kartik was crying by now. Naira was caressing his hairs and face. They broke the hug.

Naira:- But what such happened that you left the house?

Kartik:- Naksh Bhai.....

FLASHBACK STARTS

Few days passed like this.

Naksh was always irked to see Kartik getting all love of family.

It was Kartik's 13th birthday and everyone was busy in preparations.

The party was going well. Naksh came inside fully drunk. Kartik was standing with Shivani,Gayu,Ananya and Yash. He went towards Kartik and slapped him very hard.

Everyone turned and saw this. They were shocked.

Naksh:- Because of you my life destroyed. My mother loves you more than me.

Akshara turned Naksh and slapped Naksh. Naksh raised his hand to slap Akshara...this gave shock to everyone. Kartik held Naksh's hand and pushed him.

Kartik:- Don't you dare Bhai. Don't you dare touch Mumma.

Naksh got up and hit vase on Kartik's head. Naitik and Shaurya held Naksh but he pushed them. He picked up Kartik and started beating him.

Kartik was already unconscious. Blood was coming out from his head and face.
Akshara slapped Naksh and kept slapping him. Naitik asked Shaurya to take Naksh away.

They took Kartik to hospital. Kartik was being treated.

Akshara:- Doctor My son...

Doctor:- He's fine now. It was external injury. There wasn't any internal injury by good luck. You can meet him after we shift him to private ward.

Doctor left saying this.

Kartik woke up after an hour and saw Akshara and Rajshri sitting beside him.

Kartik:- Mumma. Nani.

Akshara:- Kartik Tum thk ho na?

Kartik:- Haan Mumma.

Akshara kissed on his forehead. Kartik was discharged by evening.
