LEAP OF 7 MONTHS

It was Naira's godh bharai. Everyone was happy except Bhua Dadi. She was still irked on Naira.

Bhua Dadi(in her mind):- I'll kill this child and this Naira today. She isn't worthy for this house and my family.

Bhua Dadi without getting anyone's notice went to kitchen and mixed something in the laddoos which we special made for Naira.

Bhua Dadi smiled evilly.

Bhua Dadi:- You and your child will die today Naira. That also from Akshara's hands. She is your support na. Now she will kill you and your child.

The function started. Kartik came and sat beside Naira.

Kartik:- Naira you Okay? Do you want something?

Naira:- Kartik I'm fine. I don't need anything.

The baby kicked Naira.

Naira:- Baby is saying Papa don't irritate my Mumma.

Kartik:- Hawwww when did I irritate you?

Naira:- Now What you were doing?

Kartik made a baby pout face.

Naira:- Kartik.

Kartik:- I love you.

Naira:- I love you more.

Kartik:- Baby Tell your Mumma to love us both equally after your birth.

Naira:- Kartik....

Kartik:- Naira...

Naira:- Kitne dusht ho na tum.

Shivani and Gayu cleared their throats. Kartik closed his eyes in frustration.

Kartik:- Mere pyaar ke dushman.

Naira giggled seeing Kartik's irritated face.

Shivani:- Bhai please leave. We have to apply mehndi to Bhabhi.

Kartik:- I'm also a good artist. I'll do this.

Gayu:- Maami Bhai isn't getting up.

Naksh dragged Kartik with him.

Naksh:- Kartik I want to tell you something.

Kartik:- Bhai kya hua? You seem tensed.

Naksh told Kartik something which made him shocked.

After few minutes

Every ritual was done.

Bhabhi Maa:- Akshara you make eat Naira these laddoos.

Naira:- Laddoo?

Akshara:- It's a ritual.

Bhua Dadi:- Haan Haan Akshara make her eat.

Shivani stopped Akshara.

Shivani:- Mumma these laddoos aren't good.

Gayu:- Haan Maami you make Bhabhi eat these.

Bhabhi Maa:- Par Gayu Shivani....

Bhua Dadi:- Arrey Let Naira eat those laddoos na which are in Akshara's hands.

Gayu took plate from Akshara's hand. She gave other plate to Akshara. Shivani held the plate and gave it to Kartik.

Shivani:- Bhai....

Kartik took the plate and moved towards Baisa.

Kartik:- Bhua Dadi my wife is pregnant. Today is her godh bharai. Eat this sweet na.

Bhua Dadi:- Kartik I don't want to eat.

Kartik:- Eat na Bhua Dadi.

Bhua Dadi:- Kartik...

Kartik:- Kyu Bhua Dadi? Why you don't want to eat?

Bhua Dadi threw the plate away.

Bhua Dadi:- Because I added poison in this. I wanted to kill Naira.

Everyone was shocked. Naira was heart broken.

Kartik:- Why you did this Bhua Dadi?

Bhua Dadi:- This girl doesn't deserve our family's love. She is someone's left over. How can I let her do this? I want to kill her and her child. I added poison in these laddoos which Akshara made for her.

Kartik held Baisa's neck and pinned her to the wall. He kept pressing her neck. Naitik and Shaurya held Kartik.

Kartik:- Get lost from here before I kill you.

Naira held Akshara's hand. She started feeling pain inside her womb. Her water broke down.

Naira(shouting):- Kartik!!!!!

Kartik ran to Naira. They took Naira to hospital.

Naira was taken inside OT. Nurse came out.

Nurse:- Mr Kartik please come inside. Naira needs you.

Kartik went inside. Naira was shouting in pain. Kartik held her hand. He was in tears seeing Naira in pain.

Naira:- Kartik...

Kartik:- Naira nothing will happen. You are strong I know. Just push.

Naira pushed a lot. After almost 20 minutes,they both heard a baby's cry.

Doctor:- Baby Girl.

But Naira was still in pain. She was still shouting.

Doctor:- Twins!!!

Naira pushed with more force. After 10 minutes another baby's cry was heard.

Doctor:- Baby boy.

Kartik and Naira were very happy. Naira fell unconscious due to sedation.

Kartik kissed on her forehead.

Doctor:- We have to keep babies in incubator for a week. They are premature.

Nurse took the babies carefully in incubator. Kartik went out.

Naitik:- Kartik baby?

Kartik:- Baby Nahi Papa babies. Twins!! A baby girl and a baby boy.

Everyone was very happy.

Naksh:- But where are babies Kartik?

Kartik:- Bhai doctor took them to incubator. They are premature na. Thank you Bhai if you didn't tell me then I wouldn't have been able to save Naira and my babies.

Kartik happily hugged Naksh.
