Sorry again about the voice.

After breakfast, the ninja tried to keep a close eye on Kai. He was still acting strangely and seemed to get worse as every minute passed. They knew it involved the girl that was watching over Kai, but they still haven't found her. 

"She's too good at hiding herself from us." Jay said with some of the others sitting around him. Nya and Zane were looking after Kai who has been distracted by the events that has plagued him recently.

"I know. We still need to find her and get some clue about what is going on." Lloyd said.

"Exactly. The number of victims of this has been raising and everyone is getting restless. If we don't do something soon then the lives of everyone is at stake." Cole said.

"But how can we if the only thing we know is that the victims of this are acting strangely and committing suicide?" Jay said.

"Maybe we need to know how they're infected and how they're selected." Lloyd said. Cole and Jay looked at each other with raised eyebrows. Find out how they're infected and selected? 

"How exactly do we do that?" Jay asked.

"Well...we do have someone here who is infected so maybe....some clues may have been left behind." Lloyd said.

"Okay, but we need to be careful. We don't know where that woman is or who she is working for." Cole said as the other two nodded in agreement. At the same time, Lia stared at the hotheaded ninja with some fury. The ninja have not left the side of the infected ninja for hours. Hours that could've given her master, a new powerful soldier in his army. Though she expects that her master would also choose him to be by his side in marriage considering the amount of times she saw him looking at the ninja's picture.

Ugh. When will these pesky ninja leave the infected one alone so we can have a new ally on our side? 

Lia thought as she watched the ninja try to keep a close on Kai. It has only been a couple of hours and the ninja haven't caught any news about Master's so called distraction. Eventually, she left and went to report to her master (though she knocked first so she wouldn't catch him in his alone time.)

Meanwhile, Kai was watching the news while trying to ignore the urge to harm himself. His friends were onto him and were keeping a close on him. If he acted now then they could stop him which would only make the voices worse.

You're good for nothing. Your friends and sister just feel sorry for you and will abandon you the first chance that they get.

He knew that he had to ignore the voice, but it's hard. Especially since it mocks him, belittles him and breaks him down every chance that it gets. He could feel his will to keep living slowly breaking down inside of him. He tries to keep it alive, but the voice...

Kai was cut off from his thoughts when he noticed something was wrong. He was alone. The walls and floors were colored blood red and he could hear something dripping in the distance. Kai slowly got up from his seat as he tried to figure out where it's from. 

Ka...I 

Kai froze when he heard something slowly call his name. As he looked around, he could hear something slowly make their way towards him. They walked slowly and called his name each and every time.

K...ai

Ka..I 

Kai...

When he heard his name called perfectly, he slowly turned around and saw something that almost made him want to scream in horror. It was a giant mass of bodies with tentacles making their way towards him. He tried to run, but one of them grabbed his leg and pulled him closer, but before they could do anything...

KAI!

He woke up in the hallway while breathing heavily. He could see his friend's concern faces, but he couldn't focus on anything. His friends slowly looked at each other and thought:

The infection has gotten worse.
