Sangeet

Hey guys, we all are die hard fans of Samaina... more stories on them give more satisfaction to our show deprived hearts.

My friend EshaArya has written some amazing stories... do check her two ffs
Pyaar: misunderstood
Arranged by hearts

"Yeh kamre mein itna sab kab karwaya tumne?" She asked.

"Aane ke baad... tumhare liye, tumhari pasand ka banwana chahta tha." He looked around.

"Sameer, sach batao... kaise kiya... tumhe pata hai, main kabse aise pardon ke sapne dekhti thi... hawa mein udte neele safed parde... aasmaan jaisi diwarein... yeh sab tumhe toh kabhi nahi bataya maine." She was sure she hadn't discussed it with him.

"Tumhare dil ki baat kaise nahi samajhta main... ussi dil mein toh rehta hun." He winked.

She continued to look at him.

"Swati ne bataya." He smiled sheepishly, giving up under her hard stare.

She smiled softly, "Ab chalo, bahar sab sochenge pata nahi main kahan reh gayi."

She turned to go when he held her wrist, making her turn again.

"Kya hua, Sameer... jaane do... bahar sab kya sochenge." She was worried.

His eyes had the same mischievous glint, "Ab yeh bolne ki aadat daal lo... ek baar yahan aa jaogi toh iss kamre se bahar jaane nahi dunga."

Her heart jumped to her mouth... but she smiled back at him.

"Yahan aane ke baad toh ghar mein bas hum dono honge... main kyon bolungi?" The shine in her eyes matched her smile.

Sameer stood transfixed... not aware when she slipped out of his grip... and ran out of the room.

Preeti tried to leave the library but Pandit moved in front of the door.

"Yeh mazak nahi hai, Preeti... jo main kehna chahta hun woh mere liye toh bilkul mazak nahi hai... isse zyada serious main pehle kabhi nahi hua... yeh ahsaas mere liye sabse alag hai... naya hai... shayad isiliye itna waqt lag gaya samajhne mein... par jabse college khatam hua hai, mera dil bohot bechain rehta tha tumse milne ke liye, tumhe dekhne ke liye, tumhari awaaz sunne ke liye... main nahi reh paa raha Preeti... mujhe tumhari zaroorat hai... apne saath, apne paas." Pandit tried to give words to his feelings.

Preeti gulped... it was one thing to hear him on the phone or recording... but seeing him say all this in front of her made her senses blur.

"Maine jitni baar koshish ki tumse baat karne ki, tumne mana kar diya... lekin aaj main apne dil ki baat batana chahta hun." He said with a sincere expression.

Preeti placed one hand on her waist, pressing her forehead and eyes with the other as she turned to her side... expecting him to burst out in laughter any moment.

"Please, Preeti, jhooth nahi bol raha... tumhari kasam." He said earnestly.

Preeti looked sharply at him, "Meri kasam kyon kha raha hai... tere iss khel ke chakkar mein meri jaan kyon musibat mein aaye?"

"Tumhari jaan se zyada keemti kuch nahi hai mere liye... main khud sau baar mar sakta hun par..."

"Pandit." She stalled him with her hand, face twisted with pain at his words.

He stared at her... hope flickering in his eyes.

Realizing her folly, she quickly pulled her hand back, looking away.

Pandit took a step ahead, "Jab tumhe meri fikar hai toh apne dil se ek baar pooch ke toh dekho... shayad... "

She squeezed her eyes shut... not wanting him to see her inner turmoil reflecting in them.

The silence in the room suddenly weighed on them... making the sound of each other's breathing falling loud and clear on their ears.

"I Love You Preeti." Pandit could not hold any longer.

She turned her back to him, breaking into a sweat... her whole body erupting into goosebumps. What was he saying? It was too much for a prank. Somehow the seriousness in his eyes, on his face, in his voice... it touched the strings of her heart. Was he really joking... it didn't look like... was he pulling her leg, he appeared too soft and grave for that... had he truly started to feel something, for her... a doubt still nagged her.

"Tumne jawab nahi diya." His voice was closer.

She realised he had taken another step towards her.

"Pan... Pandit... mujhe kuch... kuch samajh nahi aa raha... umm... mere paas abhi jawab nahi hai... mujhe thoda time chahiye." She needed to think clearly.

"Tum waqt le lo, main intezar kar raha hun." He crossed his arms.

"Dekh Pandit," she turned towards him, but instantly looked down, not able to see in his eyes, "main... main abhi kuch nahi keh sakti... kal meri behen ki shaadi hai... mujhe abhi kisi baat mein dimag nahi lagana... shaadi ke baad sochungi... tab tak tu please yeh sab mat kar... mujhe ajeeb lagta hai."

He bit his lip. It wasn't a good news... but it wasn't bad news either. She had not outrightly rejected his proposal.

"Theek hai, Preeti... tum baad mein soch lena... jitna chahe time lagao... main kisi tarah ka dabaav nahi daalna chahta tum pe." He gave a small smile.

Preeti walked to the door, crossing him without sparing a glance at him.

"Jo maine kaha hai wo mere dil ki awaaz hai... I Love You... aur tumhari mehendi mein yeh naam aise hi nahi hai... agar tumhe bina pata lage aaya hai toh yeh bhagwaan ka koi ishara hai." Pandit tilted his head sideways, not looking at her directly.

Preeti stopped, looking at her hand again... wondering how did her mehendi have this letter.

Taking a deep breath, she opened the door and walked out.

Pandit sat down on a close by chair. He suddenly felt light... and hopeful. What he had seen in her eyes was not the blazing anger... but pain. She was probably fighting her own feelings. He had to first rid her of that pain. Then only she would be able to see clearly, think clearly, decide with her heart...

Preeti reached the living room to see Naina coming from the other room.

"Chalein, behen... isse pehle ki mummy aa jayein humein bulane." She tried to act normal.

Naina wanted to know what happened, but she knew better than to ask her at this point. They went out to the party area.

"Aise ghoom rahi hai jaise malkin ho." Taiji muttered bitterly as she saw them coming from the direction of the house.

"Yeh... yeh hi toh malkin hain hamari... Sameer bhaiya ki dulhan." A voice made her look up.

Ramdhari stood with a tray of soft drinks.

"Tum kaun?" She asked angrily.

"Hum Ramdhari hain... Sameer bhaiya ke yahan tabse kaam karte hain jab woh chote the... nanaji ke jaane ke baad wohi maalik hain hamare... aur ab Naina bhabhi jaisi malkin mil rahi hain... hum bohot khush hain... lijiye aap yeh badaam ka sharbat pijiye." Ramdhari explained before handing her a glass.

Taiji made a face, taking the glass from him. She took a sip and her eyes popped out... she had never tasted something so delicious in her life.

"Oye Rambharose... sun zara." She called out.

Ramdhari turned, miffed at his name being spoiled, "Ramdhari naam hai hamara."

"Tera jo bhi naam hai, ek glass aur de ke jaa." She said with authority.

He turned, coming back to her, and handed one more glass, making a face.

"Thodi der mein fir se aana." Taiji hungrily held glasses in both hands.

"Humein baaki sab mehamanon ka khyaal bhi rakhna hai." He gave an irritated look.

Taiji was infuriated, "Sabse khaas mehmaan main hi hu... teri woh mal... uss Naina ki taiji hun... ghar ki sabse badi."

Ramdhari looked her up and down, muttering under his breath, "Lagti toh nahi hain... kahan hamari Naina bhabhi, kahan aap."

"Kya kaha tune?" She strained her ears, knowing fully well that he said something about her.

"Kuch nahi." He slipped away quickly.

"Beta, yeh Sameer kahan reh gaya... abhi tak nahi aaya." Anand asked Rahul.

Just then, Sameer walked into the venue.

"Lijiye uncle, aa gaya dulha." Rahul grinned.

Sameer came to touch chachaji's feet. Then he went to everyone, taking blessings from them. When he reached where Rakesh was sitting, he hesitated for a moment. As he was about to bend down, Rakesh stood up... and Sameer stepped back in reflex, holding a palm against his cheek, looking up at Naina's father with wide eyes.

A guilty look spread on Rakesh's face. He brought his hand up to stroke Sameer's head.

He touched feet of his father in law, straightening up with a tensed face.

"Sagai mein kaha tha na ab papa bulaya karo... fir kyon darte ho abhi bhi?" Rakesh asked softly.

Sameer lowered his eyes, "Woh sir... papaji... aadat hai... dheere dheere jaayegi."

Rakesh looked at him with a stern expression for a few seconds, making Sameer feel that probably he spoke too much.

Then he pulled his son in law in a tight embrace, surprising not only him, but all others present around.

"Mujhe maaf kar do beta, pata nahi kyon itni sakhti se baat karta tha sabse... tumhare liye mere mann mein sirf pyaar aur bohot saara ashirwaad hai." He patted Sameer's back.

"Aur saath hi tumhara dhanyavaad karna chahta hun... tumne na sirf Naina ki balki meri zindagi bhi badal di hai... behtar bana di hai." Rakesh said in a choked voice as he parted.

Sameer smiled in gratitude, "Aap bade hain, dhanyavad aapko nahi mujhe kehna chahiye... aapne Naina mujhe de kar meri zindagi badli nahi hai... mujhe zindagi di hai... aaj main yahan hun toh sirf Naina ki wajah se... Thank you, papaji."

This time, Sameer hugged his father... the new relation that he had missed so much all his life.

Naina had tears in her eyes when Sameer sat down with her... she had seen the exchange between her father and her husband... and it gave a sense of relief to her heart.

"Yeh khoobsurat aankhen sharmate hue achhi lagti hain... aise nahi... kya itna dukh hai tumhe yahan aane ka jo ro rahi ho?" He leaned a bit to the side, speaking in a low voice.

She smiled through her tears, punching him lightly on the leg.

"Achha, ghar walo ke saamne maar rahi ho jisse unhe keh sako ki tumne mujhe apna ghulam bana rakha hai." He nodded, giving a forced smile to someone behind her... speaking without moving his lips.

Naina quickly turned... but saw no one. She looked back at Sameer, and found him grinning with mischief.

"Tum na... bohot bure ho." She huffed, moving a little away from him.

He looked around, then shifted a few inches towards her... and slipped his hand behind, placing it on her lower back.

"Sam... Sameer... yeh... yahan..." She was instantly alert.

"Koi nahi dekh sakta... tumhara dupatta hai na." He whispered, making circles on her waist with his thumb.

She drew in a sharp breath... sure that even if his actions were not visible, her reaction would tell everyone what was happening.

Biting her inner cheek, she pinched his leg.

"Ouch." He cried out, quickly pulling his hand out.

"Kya hua beta? Sab theek hai na?" Bela's worried voice reached them from behind.

"Kuch nahi chachiji... shayad chinti ne kaat liya." He gave a side glance to Naina.

"Oh, yahan chinti bhi hain kya?" She asked innocently.

"Kaisi baat karti hai, Naina... bageecha hai toh chinti wagerah hongi hi na." Bela chided her.

She nodded in understanding.

Sudden activity on the raised platform made everyone look in that direction.

Munna Pandit took the mic.

"Aap sabhi ka swaagat hai hamare bhai aur bhabhi ke sangeet mein... aaj unke liye humne kuch dil ki baatein gaano ke zariye kehne ki koshish kari hai... aap sabko achha lage toh taali baja dena... warna... warna bhi taali toh bajaa hi dena... baad mein chahe daant dena." Munna announced with his unmistakable silly smile.

"Hamare dil mein jitna pyar hai woh batana mushkil hai par shayad inn gano se tum samajh pao ki main... matlab hum tumhare liye kaisa mehsoos karte hain." Pandit said with lowered eyes.

Preeti bit her lip... Swati looked at her... Naina and Sameer crossed their fingers... all others smiled, mistaking his words to be for the new couple...

First dance was by two of them, with Rahul and Rishi joining in. They all performed on the song

Le jayenge le jayenge dil wale dulhaniya le jayenge

In between, his friends pulled Sameer on the stage too. Looking at his girl, he danced to the stanza

Tum ho kali toh gulab hum hain

Loud peals of laughter erupted from audience as Munna wrapped a dupatta around his head and danced with Sameer

Hothon se lagalo toh sharab hum hain

They together gave an entertaining performance, getting a loud cheer when it ended.

Next was a competition between two couples... Munna Swati and Rahul Sonali.

The song was

Ladka tumhara kunwara reh jaata
mano humara ahsaan ki ladki ne haan kar di

The superficial teasing was enjoyed thoroughly by everyone.

Next was a dance by Naina, along with Swati and Preeti.

Maayein ni maayein munder pe teri
bol raha hai kaga
Jogan ho gayi teri dulari mann jogi sang laaga

Sameer was lost in Naina's dance... with her every move, every stolen glance at him, her soft smile, lowering of eyes as she blushed... everything made his throat go dry. He wanted her to be in his arms... wishing he could do it now... sighing as he couldn't.

"Aur koi dance toh nahi karne wali ho na?" He asked in a breathless voice as she came back to sit with him.

"Kyon? Itna kharab tha kya?" She was astonished.

"Itna achha tha ki dil kar raha hai abhi ki abhi tumhe gale se laga ke zor se kiss kar dun." He looked at her hungrily, eyes drifting down to her lips.

"Chup raho... aur seedhe baitho." She turned crimson, turning her face away... his musky fragrance making her wish the same.

Next announcement forced him to look back at the stage. Munna announced a song by Arjun. They looked in surprise as Arjun shyly took the stage, starting with his song

O behna o behna
Mere jijaji ka kya kehna
Rab ne aisi jodi banayi
Jaise tota aur maina

It was a surprise for his sister, and she clapped the loudest when the song ended.

When chacha ji came on stage, Naina waited with bated breath as he unfolded a paper and started to narrate what he had written for her.

Nanhi gudiya banke aayi thi ik din
ab parayi ho jaogi
Mere aangan ki raunak thi tum
yaad bohot aaogi

Kal hi toh gudiya ka byah rachaya tha
aaj khud ban baithi dulhan
kaise reh paenge tum bin
kaise bhoolenge teri payal ki chamcham

Woh nanhi ungliyaan jo haath mera thame seekhi thi chalna

Most of the eyes were moist when chachaji folded the paper, keeping it back in his pocket. Naina couldn't stop herself from running upto him.
He took her in his comforting embrace, patting her head.

"Hamesha khush raho... aise hi aage badhti raho aur aane wale kal mein apne saare sapne saakar karo." He said emotionally.

Sameer got up and came to him, "Chachaji, aap aisa mat samajhna ki Naina aapke liye parayi ho gayi... balki ab toh aapke parivaar mein ek aur sadasya judd gaya... aapka beta... yeh bhi aapka hi ghar hai... jab chahe aap yahan aa sakte hain... jab chahe Naina se baat kar sakte hain, mil sakte hain... kabhi kisi baat ke liye hichkichaiyega nahi... mere liye aap mere pita ke samaan hain... agar aap mujhe meri galti pe daantenge, gussa karenge toh bhi mujhe khushi hogi... ki kisi ko meri fikr hai... koi mujhe galtiyan karne se rok raha hai."

Anand was overwhelmed, taking him in his embrace as well, "Tum bohot achhe ho Sameer, bhagwan tumhe har khushi de... kabhi tumhari zindagi mein koi dukh na aaye."

"Mujhe toh aap sabne har khushi pehle hi de di hai chachaji... Naina ko mujhe dekar... meri har khushi isse hi judi hai." He smiled at her, placing his palm over her hand resting on chachaji's chest.

Naina smiled back at him... her heart brimming with love for her husband.

Sorry, couldn't complete sangeet in this chapter either. Will give evening update today so that we can begin with the day of marriage from tomorrow.
